Hi everyone, thought I'd try making us a second thread now the old one is done -

Tagging @Triselly @lemons44 @CR7 @Flowerlover010 @pongom @WholeZebra @TheBirdintheCave @SarahShorty - will go back to the thread and see if there's anyone else to add in, but do tag those I've missed!

Definitely not good news - there's nothing growing in my womb, and the lining has shed.

What they couldn't determine is whether it's a normal miscarriage, and the hormones are just taking a while to drop, or ectopic.

They tried to get blood from me and almost made me faint - it was so so grim. They phoned someone for special permission to monitor only by scans so although I have to go back on Monday for more scanning, I'm hopeful I might avoid more bloods.

@RunningOnHope I am so so sorry to hear that, such difficult news for you to hear ❤️ Hope that you’re doing alright xx

Would emla cream possibly work for the blood tests to numb out the area?

TheBirdintheCave · 12/05/2023 19:17

@RunningOnHope Oh I'm so sorry :( I really hope it's not ectopic.

RunningOnHope · 12/05/2023 20:20

@Triselly I managed ok with the pain, but they just couldn't get anything from my veins. They're tiny and hidden anyway, and apparently both progesterone and Emla cream tend to make it harder to get them.

Sorry for the radio silence on here. Got family here this weekend so not had any time to myself. Just got the first blood test back and shows figures we would hope for around this point. It also confirmed the pregnancy as of yesterday morning. I have a second one booked in to check the levels are going up in a few days time.

sending love to all of my ladies on here. So much going on for us all xx

Flowerlover010 · 12/05/2023 21:01

@RunningOnHope so so sorry. I really hope its not ectopic 🤞x

charja100 · 12/05/2023 21:15

@CR7 that's great news congratulations. Hope you have a nice weekend with family.

@RunningOnHope I'm so so sorry. Really hopeful it's not ectopic.

@TheBirdintheCave that's great news you have 8 very good! It sounds like there may be some more that might make it to day 5 too. As @SarahShorty said the ratio is Corey and actually I think you've even done well. Congrats!

@Triselly I have hope for you. When will you get next update?

@SaraSS that's good news that they've increased you stims. It's a good sign that they have made adjustments so your follicles can start to grow. Stay positive. If they do need to make changes they will have learnt so much about how your body reacts to the meds.

Triselly · 12/05/2023 22:10

@RunningOnHope ah I see - glad at least they can figure it out just using scans. Do you know when the next one is? I may be off base here, but I have read that ectopic pregnancy is usually accompanied by bad cramping/pain - if you haven’t had any hopefully that could be a sign that it’s not ectopic?

@CR7 aw hope you have a lovely weekend with the family xx Do they know about the treatments?

@charja100 thank you - I think for the next few days or possibly weeks it’s just going to be regular blood tests, until either the hcg number goes down or it’s at a point to be picked up on an ultrasound xx How are you doing at the moment?

@TheBirdintheCave sorry I don’t think I said congratulations on the incredible embryo number! I know it seems low compared with where you started but that really is a very decent!

SarahShorty · 13/05/2023 09:00

Not sure if it's work or hormones. I'm 7DPO today and the last two nights I've been so wiped out in the evening. 9pm comes around and I can barely keep my eyes open. Not sure what's going on.

charja100 · 13/05/2023 09:04

@Triselly Okay over here thank you. Just trying to get ready for our FET. It seems so long away as they want me to have a bleed in between. So will be the end of June / July by the time we are looking to start.

We're just exploring other tests and considerations at the moment. Due to the low conversion rate we had from our egg collection DH is having the Sperm Oxidative Stress (SOS) test this Wednesday. Our consultant said we should have had a 70-80% conversion rate and ours was 38% we had 5 fertilise from 14 mature eggs and 3 embryos at day5. She said if it was 33% or lower she'd be advising using artificial oocyte activation. (AOA) they've suggested we look at it and think about it as an option for next time.

We want to try to do whatever we can now to prepare for if we need another egg collection. Other than that I'm trying to stay a little bit distanced from it all tbh to stay sane. We've started a house Reno project which is giving us something else to focus on and keeping us very busy.

Just here along for the journey and trying to support where I can whilst we wait. Being my first round I'm not as experienced as everyone else on this roller coaster ride.

CR7 · 14/05/2023 09:30

@Triselly not about this cycle, no. Can't face the head tilts and platitudes when things don't go to plan. How are you feeling?

@charja100 @SarahShorty @RunningOnHope @SaraSS @Flowerlover010 @TheBirdintheCave how is everyone today x

TheBirdintheCave · 14/05/2023 09:34

@CR7 We had a Eurovision party so not too worse for wear considering! 😂

@charja100 Sounds like we'll have FET around the same time 😊

CR7 · 14/05/2023 09:38

@TheBirdintheCave sounds like great fun xx

Flowerlover010 · 14/05/2023 09:48

@CR7 im feeling sorry for myself with my first big bruise 🤣 last day of tablets for me, im going to miss them since ive felt so good on them 🤣🤣 then carry on with the injections and FINALLY start stims Saturday.

SarahShorty · 14/05/2023 10:00

@CR7 I'm on 8DPO of a natural try before the next transfer. Boobs feel like they're going to fall off, I get weird feelings in my head every evening and my DH can't stop symptom-spotting 😂 They do say the funniest outcome is the likeliest.

SaraSS · 14/05/2023 10:03

Hey @CR7 thanks for the tag. I'm impatiently waiting for my next scan tomorrow to see if the increased stims have made a difference.

Thanks everyone for the responses on Friday and yesterday. I've started to feel twinges in my lower abdomen so hopefully that means it's working (could also be my IBS though 🤣)

@RunningOnHope I'm sorry to read about your situation - hope it's not ectopic 😔 you're having such a rollercoaster.

CR7 · 14/05/2023 10:24

@Flowerlover010 first bruise after many injections you're doing well. I had a massive bruise after my first one xx this week will fly

At least you can test early without worrying about the trigger being in your system xx

SaraSS · 14/05/2023 11:38

@CR7 scan is at 9am tomorrow so at least it's early! 🤞🤞

Triselly · 14/05/2023 11:57

@CR7 hello ❤️ how was your family visit? How are you feeling? Don’t blame you from not telling people, can imagine that dealing with reactions from people who just don’t understand is best avoided where possible!

I’m up very bright and early tomorrow morning for another blood test. I’ve been getting positives on hpts these last few days, they seem to be getting stronger.

I have absolutely no idea what they’re gonna say tomorrow, the nurse keeps saying she thinks it’s an early miscarriage, but I don’t understand why the levels are still rising a week later? Tiny tiny grain of hope there but trying to prepare to be told that it definitely hasn’t worked.

@charja100 Having a break for a month does sound like a good idea. It sounds good also that your clinic is offering different tests as well, rather than just insisting you try again with everything the same.

What are you planning for your house renovation? That sounds like a great distraction!

@SaraSS Very best of luck for tomorrow, please let us know what they say if you feel up to it!

Hope that @RunningOnHope and everyone is alright and having a relaxing weekend xx

CR7 · 14/05/2023 12:15

@Triselly I know we all have our fingers crossed for you xx keep us posted if you're in the mood to do so.

We have decided, if we get there, we won't tell anyone until the 12 weeks scan, with the exception of my parents as my husband is away constantly with work. I don't want anyone knowing and I refuse to get too hopeful. It's such a rollercoaster ride as we aren't by any means out of the woods yet. The clinic said I am currently 5w3d and I know the next few weeks are absolutely critical xx

Flowerlover010 · 14/05/2023 15:52

@TheBirdintheCave how are you feeling? Have you had any OHSS symptoms?

@CR7 its way too hard for any of us to get excited isnt it. Its such a long road even once pregnant. Hope you can get at least a bit excited once u get to 12 weeks xx

charja100 · 14/05/2023 15:58

@TheBirdintheCave ah nice to know someone will be on my timeline to keep me company.

CR7 · 14/05/2023 16:07

@Flowerlover010 at 12 weeks I will. But until then I am 8% happy and 92% wary 😂😂
