Hi everyone, thought I'd try making us a second thread now the old one is done -

Tagging @Triselly @lemons44 @CR7 @Flowerlover010 @pongom @WholeZebra @TheBirdintheCave @SarahShorty - will go back to the thread and see if there's anyone else to add in, but do tag those I've missed!

Thanks for the reassurance @Triselly ❤️ 4dpt and I've been feeling twinges in the womb area the whole time so far - but there's no way of knowing if it's good implantation and growing twinges, or just normal preparing for a period twinges. I hate waiting!

Exciting that you're ready to go, even if it's a bit of a surprise...! I'm sure your clinic have had every kind of rearranging and surprise AF situation under the sun!

Hello everyone! We’re not on IVF just yet… we’ve been referred and should start in the next 4-6 months by the sounds. I was reading your stories and the positivity on the group - just wanted to spread some well wishes and comment to remain on the group for future, when the time is right. Best of luck and I hope you’re all off the group and have your BFPs by the time I come back around 🥹🙏✨❤️ xx

RunningOnHope · 30/09/2023 19:38

Thanks @Yolo23 that's kind - hope it's a smooth journey to treatment for you, and a quick one once you get there!

@RunningOnHope i was walking my dog and my foot went into a hole on the field so I sort of jarred my whole body, I was still in pain after egg collection which made it feel worse but I was sure that I would have done something to jeopardise it all. And it all turned out fine. I didn’t really feel many twinges until about 6 weeks. I’m now 18 weeks and still don’t always feel anything unless I’ve overdone it a bit.

SarahShorty · 01/10/2023 13:05

@RunningOnHope it's hard, I know. I wouldn't feel rubbish if I heard that now. Everyone's different and goes through this nasty game differently. When my last cycle was cancelled, I felt surprisingly meh about it. The thing I hated was the cancellation fee.

TheBirdintheCave · 01/10/2023 15:48

@Yolo23 Welcome and good luck!

@RunningOnHope When are you going to start testing? 😬

RunningOnHope · 01/10/2023 15:55

@TheBirdintheCave We were definitely waiting til next week but went super early today - 5dp5dt.

Not FMU, not a FRER (it's a clearblue early). DW says there's nothing there. I have line eyes and think if I take it by surprise and look quickly, I can see the faintest shadow of blue 😂 probably deluded. Will have to wait and see.

@RunningOnHope Eeeek! Did you take a photo?

RunningOnHope · 01/10/2023 17:43

@TheBirdintheCave I did but there is absolutely nothing to see on the picture, even when inverted to an inch of its life which I think proves I was imagining things.

Hello, I hope you don’t mind me joining. I’ve spent hours reading through the posts by you all across the various IVF boards. It’s so great there are spaces like this to come together and everyone can understand each other!

After TTC for the last 2 years we’ve been referred to the fertility ACU. I’ve had some initial tests and all looks fine so far, but hubs has very very low sperm count. He’s been asked to do another test to confirm and I’m waiting to get booked in for a Hycosy. I wanted to ask from your experience, from completing all of these initial tests, how long after did you then wait to start your first round of IVF on the nhs? It feels like we’ve been waiting forever since being referred by our GP to then actually having these tests, so really hoping it won’t be much longer once they are all done.

Wishing you all so much luck 🌻 xxx

RunningOnHope · 02/10/2023 16:44

6dp5dt - it's very faint but unmistakeably there! Photo makes it look like it might not do all the way down but it does in real life.

And welcome @Ellie5671 - sorry I can't answer anything about NHS times as we are self funded, but I hope it passes speedily for you!

@RunningOnHope YES I SEE IT!!! 😬

Yolo23 · 02/10/2023 17:53

@Ellie5671 were in the same position as you although partners SA seemed to be OK.

We’ve recently been referred from fertility to IVF and apparantly it’ll take around 26 weeks max. I’m not sure how soon after that timeframe the process will happen but it sounds to be quite quick here! Wishing you a speedy process too xx

Triselly · 02/10/2023 20:04

@RunningOnHope That’s definitely a positive!! Fantastic news ❤️😊

Hello @Yolo23 and @Ellie5671 welcome and thank you for the nice words, very best of luck to you both on this journey, please keep us updated if you have the time!

SarahShorty · 02/10/2023 20:15

@RunningOnHope lovely to see xx

WholeZebra · 02/10/2023 20:37

@RunningOnHope I SEE IT! How wonderful! ❤️

Ellie5671 · 02/10/2023 21:50

Thanks very much for the warm welcome!

@RunningOnHope Congratulations! Really wonderful news - you must be so excited.

Copenhagener · 02/10/2023 22:01

Hi all,

I’ve been taking a break while I’m on the waitlist for IVF after 3 failed medicated IUIs in spring. I should start IVF in December / January.

Unfortunately, I just lost my job. I feel I’m having the worst run of luck this year. Infertility, failed IUIs, being fired for being ‘the wrong cultural fit’.

I’m now torn between trying to find a new job, knowing I’ll have to fit IVF appointments around the same time of starting a new job - which will suck - or potentially going unemployed throughout pregnancy (if it happens) and taking the financial hit.

I’m so fed up right now. It’s just another worry to add to the pile.

RunningOnHope · 04/10/2023 09:26

Hi @Copenhagener that sounds like such a rough time. Really sorry about your job - it must make things feel so much more complicated and uncertain when fertility treatment is already such a tricky time. Sending lots of love and hope you have some support in real life too.

I'm feeling nervous today - now 8dp5dt and all my symptoms are gone. When we got the faint positive on 6dpt5dt I wasn't surprised because I had been feeling so many twinges and aches, and sore boobs. Since then, nothing. I guess it could have just been implantation pains that have now settled. But I can't get over the anxiety after the miscarriage in round 1. I really really want this one to stick around.

Think we're going to try a digital test tonight but not sure it will work yet... id like to get another of the standard ones to see a line again but we can't afford to keep buying tests. And it's still early to see proper progression, I don't want to get more freaked out over faint lines. It's so hard.

TheBirdintheCave · 04/10/2023 09:29

@RunningOnHope I felt basically normal until about the middle of week five. It doesn't mean anything is wrong necessarily :)

RunningOnHope · 04/10/2023 19:58

You guys! 😭😭😭 I think it's real!
