@RunningOnHope Oh hey! We're in St Just-in-Roseland :) Off to Lanhydrock tomorrow :) Where abouts are you? Hope you're having a fab time too. This weather is just the icing on the cake 😬

Triselly · 05/09/2023 05:46

@TheBirdintheCave oh my goodness that is amazing! Congratulations, what a lovely surprise! ❤️

TheBirdintheCave · 05/09/2023 07:28

@Triselly Thankee 😬 I'm still terrified it'll be another chemical or mmc. Got another test to take in a few hours so fingers crossed that's darker than two days ago.

SarahShorty · 05/09/2023 08:28

@RunningOnHope that's great! Yes! Hopefully this is our time xx

Triselly · 05/09/2023 08:30

@TheBirdintheCave Got everything crossed for you xx

TheBirdintheCave · 05/09/2023 10:54

Test does seem to be darker but I'm still worried that it's not enough of a difference. The anxiety is just unreal.

RunningOnHope · 05/09/2023 11:48

@TheBirdintheCave wouldn't expect a noticeable difference so early - keep positive! Everything is good until proven otherwise 😁

@TheBirdintheCave i was convinced mine would be a chemical too. But my line was about the same as yours at 14dpo and didn’t really get noticeably darker until about a week later. I took a few tests every other day and then one time it took ages to appear and was noticeably paler than my other lines (which had been getting ever so slightly darker each time) I realised it was because I’d drunk a lot of water and my pee was really weak, but I freaked myself out so decided to wait about a week to test again by which point the line was really dark.

You’re so early at the moment, give the hormones chance to increase before you worry yourself too much xx

TheBirdintheCave · 05/09/2023 17:36

@KG96 Yeah I'm leaving it until Thursday now and then I have a digi for Saturday (16dpo).

Being on holiday is helping distract me at least 😂 We don't get back until Friday night.

RunningOnHope · 06/09/2023 14:22

Baseline done today. So officially on the road to double transfer this month!

Norethisterone withdrawal cramps have been an absolute bitch this time, I really hope I get twins so I never have to do this stage again...!

OP posts:
Triselly · 06/09/2023 15:07

Ah excellent news @RunningOnHope ! Although sorry to hear about the cramps, that sounds rubbish. How does it work with FET, how can they tell when it’s a good time to put them back? (I can look this up myself I’m sure if you don’t have the time to explain 😅) I just find you get way more accurate info if you ask women going through it!

I’m starting injections again tonight. Different ones this time, two a day (Gonal-f and menopur) and then adding in the lovely fyremadel on day 5. Here we go…

SarahShorty · 06/09/2023 16:48

@Triselly in my experience with FETs, you go for the first baseline scan at around CD3 or CD4 as that's when for me, most of the lining should have bled away. The baseline scan is to check the lining thickness. They need a thin lining so they can start you on oestrogen to thicken the lining back up, then after the second baseline scan, which is about a week before the transfer day, you start on progesterone to hold the lining in place. When the lining is thick enough and holding, for me it's around CD17 to CD19, which is around the time of ovulation for me on a (more) normal cycle, they send you for the transfer.

I wish you all the best for this cycle xx

TheBirdintheCave · 06/09/2023 17:11

@RunningOnHope Sorry your cramps have been so bad :( I hope the worst of it is over for you now.

@Triselly Good luck with the injections! You can do it :D

CR7 · 08/09/2023 20:41

Good luck ladies! Sending you lots of baby dust xx

TheBirdintheCave · 08/09/2023 22:15

@CR7 How're you doing? :)

CR7 · 09/09/2023 12:02

doing good over here thank you! Very excited for your lovely news!!

i’m almost 23 weeks now with kicks which are amazing and strange at the same time. Still trying to relax into this and mostly failing but we take it one day at a time. I think after four rounds of ivf it’s unlikely I’ll ever relax haha xx

TheBirdintheCave · 09/09/2023 14:00

@CR7 I remember I found it a lot easier to relax with my son once I could feel kicks as it was a constant reminder that he was still ok in there. You're over half way now! Not too long to go 😬

And thank you :) 4+2 today so forever to go for me 🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I just need to make it past 9 weeks 🙏🏻 I'm on alllll the progesterone this time round. Probably be confident enough to register with the midwife around 6-7 weeks unless I get any bleeding first.

KG96 · 09/09/2023 17:19

@CR7 at what point did you start feeling kicks? I’m 15+3 at the moment and hoping I might start feeling something soon 🤞🏻

WholeZebra · 12/09/2023 11:52

We got to see our wiggly little baby today, arms and legs were everywhere! Measuring spot on at 12+5. Such an overwhelming and strange experience.

IVF Buddies: the next chapter
TheBirdintheCave · 12/09/2023 12:40

@WholeZebra Wow that's amazing! Congratulations! :D I can't believe you're 12+5 already! 😮

CR7 · 12/09/2023 16:19

The kicks are definitely and finally a symptom, you’re right. Fingers crossed the progesterone works its magic for you x

CR7 · 12/09/2023 16:20

I had an anterior placenta so later. On week 20 to the day xx

SarahShorty · 12/09/2023 16:46

@RunningOnHope how are you doing? I've just had my second baseline scan today and my lining isn't quite think enough yet, so they've upped my oestrogen from 8mg to 12mg a day. I'm feeling a bit disappointed as I thought I'd get a date for the transfer today. It's not a big deal, I just want to get it done.

SarahShorty · 12/09/2023 16:47

thick enough* think enough 😂

WholeZebra · 12/09/2023 18:39

@TheBirdintheCave I can’t believe it either! Time has gone so fast 😬
