Well I am off home now, might pop on again tonight, all depends on how long I stay in the pub really (always go for a quick drink on Friday nights with my family, sometimes its not so quick ). If not probably wont chat again till Monday, I am trying to do my best to stay away at weekends!

lardylumps · 15/02/2008 18:06

Bye playing have a good weekend.

Diege · 15/02/2008 19:15

Evening everyone Feel like a wet rag after being up since 5.30 with all 3 dds; at least that's half term over now! Looking forward to our Indian takeaway, though dh won't be back till late.
You know I think I should change my name to 'yesinaminute' as I think that's all I've seemed to say today .
Speak later, or if not then tommorrow

lardylumps · 15/02/2008 19:29

I still have the horrors wonders of school holidays to look forward to as dd is only 10 months.

Half term is next week down here so my sister has been stocking up with paints, papper etc all day

kayzisbroody · 15/02/2008 19:38

We have it all to look forward too LL,

Diege · 15/02/2008 19:48

My advice would be get saving . You wouldn't believe how much you end up spending .
Well dh has rung to say he got on the worng train so won't be back until a lot later. Oh well, more slobbing in front of the telly for me!

kayzisbroody · 15/02/2008 19:51

I've just remembered that Im going to a concert in June. Its seated.
Do you think I'd still be able to go if I get pg?
If not then ttc will have to wait

lardylumps · 15/02/2008 20:04

I am off now ladies have a lovely evening enjoy your slobbing Diege. Speek tomorrow..

kayzisbroody · 15/02/2008 20:10

Bye LL have a nice night

Diege · 15/02/2008 20:25

Thanks LL, will do . Kay, can't think of any reason why you couldn't go to a seated concert when pregnant? Are you thinking about the noise levels? And what concert is it? [nosey emoticon]??

Teuch · 15/02/2008 20:51

I wanted to go to a standing (and quite wild!!) concert only 2 weeks before DS was born (6 weeks before due)...a seated concert will be fabulous!!

On the birth thing...I would not move off the bed once in labour and, although I tried to birth kneeling, nothing happened and I had to turn onto back...DS shot out!! And I had planned a totally 'active' labour as well, complete with water birth...

Anyway...what concert could possibly be more exciting than ttc?????!!!!!

(overuse of exclamation, I know...)

kayzisbroody · 15/02/2008 21:05

I know Im really sad but I am only 21 and my mum wouldnt take me to see them first time round!
It's

BOYZONE!!!!
Its only like 4 months and 1 day away!!!
[excited emoticon]

Teuch · 15/02/2008 22:11

don't love me for fun...

youwould have been too young first time round!!

popcornprincess · 15/02/2008 22:20

girl, let me be the one girl, love me for a reason.....tra la la la

Cosmogirl · 15/02/2008 22:31

Hello girls,

Right I have done my best to skim read the thread but am in agreeance (is that a word?) - you all talk way too much!
Was my last day at work today and went OK. Felt really weird all day but once the leaving presentation and present giving was over with I was much more relaxed, then I buggered off home! Now I have a nice - albeit busy - week off before starting the new job on Monday. Am going for a dry slope skiing lesson tomorrow (never skiied before) so that should be an experience! tbc

Cosmogirl · 15/02/2008 22:31

Think I am almost definitely sticking with tail end of 08 for TTC to commence - I would like a year in the job before announcing a pregnancy - would feel a bit guilty otherwise. I know I prob shouldn't but I am a very guilty person - must be the Irish in me (3/4s Irish!).
Like others have said, am scared about getting prego taking ages - being on MN does teach you that conceiving is not a walk in the park for everyone. I am preparing myself for that, as well as the fact that it could have quickly.
Re: home births. My friend is a midwife and she had DC1 at home. She had a great birth on her bed and they buried the placenta in the garden afterwards under a newly planted tree. Sorry for the long post - just wanted to check in with you all so you don't forget me . Good luck to those already TTC. xx

kayzisbroody · 16/02/2008 08:50

Morning all
Cosmo that sounds so much fun, I'd love to try skiing, I might have to look for a dry slope near here.

We're not going to York anymore today, I'm really tired (must be all that swimming yesterday). We're going out for a meal tonight and I dont want to be falling asleep into my food.

lardylumps · 16/02/2008 10:44

Good morning ladies.

Quick question here. When i was pg with dd midwife advised i take vitamin D suppliments as well as folic acid. I have started Folic acid for April but should i also be taking the vit d???

Diege · 16/02/2008 11:00

Morning . LL, I would take something like preganacare that I think had vitamin D in too perhaps? COSMO, skiing sounds great - have fond memeories of the artificial slope I went on asa child, though did breal my thumb after catching it in the 'turf'.
Must dash, catch up later!

lardylumps · 16/02/2008 11:15

Last time I went dry slope skiing I fell over and skidded down on my face burning my nose on the mesh....

Can laugh about it now but at the time I had just got together with my first boyfriend and he dumped me because I had a bright red nose for a week.

He He He He

kayzisbroody · 16/02/2008 12:28

Oh I hadnt thought about Vitamin D, may have to get some preganacare.
The folic acid I took with ds had vitamin d in it too but this doesnt

lardylumps · 16/02/2008 12:46

I will be going to get some preganacare later today..

kayzisbroody · 16/02/2008 12:48

I might get some too..
Its just remembering to take it, I forgot most days while expecting ds

lardylumps · 16/02/2008 13:12

Keep it by your bed i always remembered to take it last thing at night then..

Diege · 16/02/2008 13:31

Meant pregnacare not preganacare . Just in case you were searching the shelves! I'm half thinking about the Zita West ones, but not sure I can justify £17 for a 30 day supply .
Well had the crappest meal ever at local Indian. It was freezing cold, took an hour for food to arrive (NOT the best with toddlers), they got the order wrong so dd3 didn't get her meal, AND to top it all they had the cheek to add 10% service charge to our bill . As with many usually good places, they don't seem gearing up to lunchtime trade (suffice to say they didn't get the 10%!!)
Well feeling very pre-menstruel here - af due Tues-ish. Can't beleive I'll just have one more after that before ttc !!! (unless all that dipping it in has done the trick, and my cramps etc are symtoms..
