OP posts:
Cosmogirl · 17/02/2008 15:13

I ODed on Celebrations this weekend - they were part of my leaving present. So easy to eat..... Feeling smug though in that I think I have kicked caffeine. Haven't had diet coke in about a week and a half. I know there's a small amount in chocolate but no way am I giving that up .

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 15:16

The Heroes were part of DH's leaving present. He opened them and then left them on the sofa so its his own fault

Diege · 17/02/2008 15:45

I think you were perfectly justified in eating them Kay - after all, he was being negligent just leaving them there, tsk tsk, men eh . And COSMO, it would be rude not to OD on choccies that were bought for you as a leaving present!!
I now have that shaky juddery feeling you get after too much choccy and diet coke. I've just got back from the supermarket, where I had the compulsion to buy crumpets for the first time in years...was at the check-out when I realised that it's NJ's fault for posting a few days (??) ago about crumpets with REAL BUTTER. MMMM, right, best get the grill on .

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 18:00

I bought some crumpets yesterday. There must be a crumpet thing going round.

Diege · 17/02/2008 21:38

. Hmm, was a wee bit disappointed with mine...maybe because of the previous pig-out..
Have decided that now my marking is finished (yah!!!!)I have no need for comfort food and can focus properly on eating properly and exercising . Havew been looking on the Zita West website and though I'd splash out and get the his and her supplements - not least because dh is mid-40s (not that he's hear anything negative about his sperm etc) but as this will be our last child, I'm going to try to control what I can! The only problem is you have to take them 3 times a day which is going to be a real problem to remember!
Right, got to get the bags ready for school after the half term (groan..).
Speak later - probably tomorrow now

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 21:46

I'm just about to have some for supper, hopefully they'll be nice

Teuch · 18/02/2008 07:44

morning all! My aren't we a bunchof crumpet-lovers?!

Thankfully, the hangover is gone but I am left with a whole lot of plooks (spots to you)...really sore ones

I have lots of work to do this week as I am heading to the bright lights for a few days over the weekend...family birthdays, massive food shopping and bathroom tiles and accessories. Great!

Awoke to an amazing sunrise this morning - fantastic start to the day! Hope yours have all started well...

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 07:49

Morning,
That sunrise sounds nice Teuch.
Ds has a cold so I was up most of night as he couldn't sleep. I feel like the walking dead this morning.

NatalieJane · 18/02/2008 08:41

Good morning evryone

Sounds like we have all had a good weekend

We ended up doing some shopping and seeing the MIL on Saturday, and then yesterday we made a list of stuff (e.g. 3 pubs, 10 trucks, 2 zebra crossings etc.) and we went exploring to find it.... oh what fun...! Though we did make it to Blackpool, was too cold to get out of the car properly, but we saw the ship that is on it's arse, kind of looked all sad and lonely!

Well it is half term, so won't be about quite as much as usual, but will be here checking up on you all, anything from LG&T anywhere yet?

See you all a bit later xxx

NatalieJane · 18/02/2008 08:45

BB, is this the first AF since your MC? My first one after the MC was Horrible, with a capital H. I also kept thinking I was somehow having another MC, but after starting a thread on here, I found it was quite normal to be like that.

Right I am gone this time, hope it doesn't get you down too much BB, and if it does, just remember your nice new posh watch

Playingthewaitinggame · 18/02/2008 09:09

Morning all, looks like we all had a good weekend, that skiing sounds gerat fun Cosmo.

Sorry about AF BB, I am sure it is a perfectly normal one it just seems heavy cos you havent had one for a while. On the plus side, at least you know your body is getting back to normal.

Right, I have a lot to do today so I am going to try to be good and not come on here too often . Talk later xx.

BeMyLilBaby · 18/02/2008 09:22

morning nj and playing

Not first since MC, just first since dec, really heave, have soaked a super tampon in 2 hours... normally just use regular...arg!

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 09:32

Hello all, just got back from chemist with vicks vacorub and a thing you plug in, so hopefully ds will feel better soon.

BB I hope you feel better soon.

NatalieJane · 18/02/2008 10:15

OK I have just been emotionally blackmailed into another McDonalds..... apparently if I let him have another one (that will be 2 this month) he will love me more than ever And the bonus? He will love me more than Dad!!!! What do we think? Is it worth it? LOL Can't blame him for trying I suppose! Might meet him the middle with he can have a McDonalds, if he get's his room tidied up, to my specification! That has to be worth it, doesn't it?!

Hope BB and Kay's DS are feeling better by the time we get back from town! xxx

Starshinetiger · 18/02/2008 10:20

Morning ladies,
Sounds like you all had busy weekends and lots of fun! We had a great time just not doing much, except watching football (DH over the moon, as is Bristol Rovers fan and they are now into quarter finals of FA cup), and then finding lights for new extension - DS loves nothing more than to go outside and play amongst the bricks, we have big pile of bricks on front drive, which he likes playing chase round ! He really is turning into such a little boy - so mischievious (sp?), cheeky, but into everything and great fun (warning - ridiculously proud mum with PFB alert!)

Is half-term here this week, so he's off to museum today with CM to do arts and crafts - makes me really look forward to being off on mat leave again and being able to do that with him (or am I deluding myself that I won't have hands free with DC2?!
Can't believe how broody I am about TTC. Think I have lost 2lbs this week, but bathroom scales are a bit dodgy, so just going by tightness of clothes!

Kayz, was it you who asked about concert? I went to Bon Jovi concert when 6 months pregnant with DS, standing (but in gold circle, so not too crowded) - DH bought tickets before we knew we were expecting. Was absolutely fine and great fun - only embarrassing bit was when I decided I should have a loo pitstop before they came on and tried to get out, but was so crowded I couldn't get through exit. In my wisdom, I decided to play "pregnancy card" and ask a steward for help. To which he said, "no problem, wait there, I'll come and get you", then he climbed over fence, told me to hold onto his belt and then shouted loudly "Make Way, Pregnant Lady coming through" - I'm sure I went the same colour as my bright red maternity top!! - but another pregnant lady did follow me out too. Seated concert sounds ideal to me. We're off to Foo Fighters at Wembley in June and I'm really worried about having Morning Sickness, particularly as we're getting the coach there! Maybe really will have to wait until May to TTC, so MS won't have kicked in by then.

BB - sorry about AF, hope you feel better soon.

Teuch, looking forward to hearing whether BFP next week!

Right, outrageously long post from me, as I meant to get on during the weekend, but only got as far as catching up, not writing, before DS woke from nap.

Have a great day all

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 10:38

Hello Star, Wow Bon Jovi I'd love to go and see them and the Foo Fighters.
I'm glad I've got seated tickets as I would normally go standing.
Don't mention the FA cup I support Arsenal(useless) stupid Man Utd!! I nearly cried.

NJ Hopefully ds will be ok, he is now fast asleep so I'm getting a bit of a rest.

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 11:20

AAHHHH
I've just ordered some pg tests from Boots, I know we're ttc so why do I feel really nervous. My AF isn't even due until March 7th!!
Why do I feel like a little kid in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory???

Teuch · 18/02/2008 11:50

ohh exciting!!!

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 11:54

Its you first Teuch, I'll probably be at work on the 28th so I'll have to keep checking to see when you do your test!!
I'm just wondering if ds will be to young while I'm pg to understand what is happening

Teuch · 18/02/2008 11:58

DOn't I'll get stagefright...

COntrary to my foot-stamping, outcry "ME FIRST!!!!!" of early hours sunday, I want to pretend that I am ignoring the impending date and then 'accidentally' pee on a stick No big build-up please?!

I had such an anti-climax last month what with the lack of HPT's and plethora of symptoms...

No symptoms yet btw

kayzisbroody · 18/02/2008 12:00

I had no symptoms with ds, no morning sickness, sore boobs anything at all, I bet it wont be like that next time round.
I'll probably get everything knowing my luck

Playingthewaitinggame · 18/02/2008 12:01

How exciting people will pg tests!! Lets hope "we" get a BFP soon. On a slightly more random not I was measuring up the spare room for cots yesterday , think I must be looosing the plot
