Her we are ladies!

OP posts:
Teuch · 17/02/2008 09:44

how was your meal Kay?

Cosmo - how did the ski-ing go? I remember learning on a dry slope many moons ago...great fun!! Even better when you get onto real snow.

LG&T - come back, all is forgiven!!...how are you and the family??

Diege · 17/02/2008 10:00

Morning . Glad the skiing went well Cosomo, sounds fun. Did laugh about the 'older' lady though . I remember thinking the hardest part was the ski lift thing too. Could never get on with it at all - always falling over! Re: first period after withdrawal bleed, I think the advice is to expect a period about the same time your pill period would have arrived, but be prepared for it to be later or earlier than expected. I don't know from experience as I never got a period after finishing the pill - I was pregnant!
Kay, OF COURSE you can learn to drive when you are pregnant . Having said that, I've don't drive, not for want of trying! I've never done a test, but have been stop/starting lessons over the years, mainly due to pregnancy and having to stopm lessons when I got to 35 weeks or so, mainly because I couldn't last the hour (or evenb half hour) without going for a wee ). Teuch, looking forward to the 28th!!

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 10:32

My meal was lovely thank you. I was really adventurous(sp) and instead of Chicken Curry I had Satay Chicken and it was gorgeous.

I really need to learn to drive, neither me or dh can drive so I really want too. Just so on my 9 months of maternity I can go out as I was quite bored on my last maternity leave. I just wanted to go out.

Diege · 17/02/2008 10:44

I can see why you might want to learn top drive Kay if neither you nor dh do. I'm lucky in that dh drives, but to be honest dh cylces everywhere (with dds on front and back of bike!) and I use public transport to and from work/when out with dds. We have actually started a car share now with neighbours, just beacuse the car was sitting on the drive all week, unused. It works well, and we have a booking system whereby we 'book' the car for say a weekend.
I think if I felt I was missing out and not doing things/going places then I would carry on with lessons. But for now at least I'm happy not doing so! Good luck with yours

NatalieJane · 17/02/2008 10:46

Good morning

Ohhhh it is starting to get nice and exciting, we have LG&T on the brink of it as well 'Tis great

Diege, That Violet, did anyone notice how she 'woddles'? OMG, I laughed at first but now it is just bloody annoying. I do realise it isn't RL honestly!! Can't be doing with the American one. Have caught the odd bit of it, but it doesn't seem the same somehow, and I can't stand that Paula whateverhernameis woman, she is almost as bad as Danni....

Kay, glad you had a lovely meal I think some places say sperm can last up to 7 days, but agree with Diege, that I think the more factual ones say up to 5 days. Practising is very good though

Cosmo, well it sounds like you had a good time! You are braver than me, I wouldn't get on a pair of skies for all the moneyin the world, I can hardly keep upright on my own two feet most of the time, let alone skies!!! I had my withdrawel blled, then 25 days later got my AF, then got pregnant so I don't know how the story ends! I think you are much more likely to get a regular-ish pattern going quite quickly, than you are to not have AF's for months on end.

Teuch, got a tip, once the bar opens, turn the PC off!!! I once did a really long post on my PN thread, full of absolute bollox, and couldn't remember a damn thing about it the next day, when I saw it I actually thought for a second that someone must have logged in as me and posted it! LOL No such luck!!! Will keep my fingers crossed for you, any symptoms yet?!

Is that everything? It takes longer to catch up than it does to say what I came on to say! Which I can't remember now.....

Diege · 17/02/2008 10:51

. Oh yes the waddle!! First noticed it when she was at the wedding. Have you ever see a pregnant woman walk like that? .
OOh yes, we need a progress report LG&T!!!!!
It seems like we have gone from blissfully thinking about trying months away to front line action in a blink of an eye! Was looking at the school calander just now, and notice that there are less than 4 weeks before they break up again for Easter!!!

Diege · 17/02/2008 10:52

By 'we' I meant all of us btw!!, not me and dh- I am still very much APRIL

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 10:59

I really want to learn to drive so we can go shopping and have nice days out. To get to York is an hour and a helf by bus.

If I dont get pg this time I'm thinking of waiting till September to try again. I'd rather not have one birthday in Feb then another in March

NatalieJane · 17/02/2008 11:01

LMAO, you can't fool us, you will change your mind, again, soon enough, as soon as one get's a BFP, we will all flock.... except me, obviously

Yes the wedding was the first time I noticed the waddle as well, should think it was enough to put anyone off TTC'ing, ever!

Our school hols are different this year, they have this week off half term, then it will be 3 weeks till they have Good Friday and Easter Monday off, then 2 weeks till they break up in April for 2 weeks.

NatalieJane · 17/02/2008 11:03

Oh, last post was to Diege, Kay, you can't wait till SEPTEMBER!!!!! That is yearsssssss away!

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 11:10

We we're orginally waiting till September then it was May now it now!!!
Hopefully come the 7th March I'll get my BFP but if not I'll try to wait until September.
Try anyway.

NatalieJane · 17/02/2008 11:16

September????

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 11:24

I'll probably never be able to wait that long. I'll just have to miss out June and August

Teuch · 17/02/2008 11:27

Don't even think about it madam!!!

Ugh...in a fit of hangover munchies I have just devoured a whole packet of chilli kettle chips. Feel bit sick...

Am off directly to the cross-trainer...

TTCindisguise · 17/02/2008 11:27

hiya ladies, can anyone help me on here??

NatalieJane · 17/02/2008 11:28

Well we will be missing out June, so you'll have a buddy

Ohhhh, have remembered what I was going to say, but not sure if I already said it?!! We had a big discussion on Friday night, and have decided to bring things a little forward, not TTC'ing, but getting the house on the market etc. so we have a better chance of being out of here by the time the baby comes!

Right, time to get a shower...! See you all later, have a good day xx

Diege · 17/02/2008 11:37

Right some advice needed from my ttc buddies. I def DO NOT to be throwing up during our 2 week holiday (end of July, beg of August). What month would I need to 'miss out'? Would it be June? [feeling vaguley stalker-ish in following NJ's pattern here...

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 11:39

Thats why I moved forward to now Diege
Yeah I think it would be June you would have to miss out.

Diege · 17/02/2008 11:52

Thanks Kay! The dds are so excited about their hols, and I know that with the sickness I had last time, and can't even sit up in bed without being sick so it would be a serious problem on holiday and would spoil it for everyone. My sickness generally starts at 5 and a half weeks, peaks week 8-9, then starts tapering off week 11 ish, so yes if I miss June out at least I will have done my best!

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 11:55

Yeah that should mean that you'll be ok for your holidays.

Cosmogirl · 17/02/2008 12:20

Thanks Diege and NJ re: pill advice. I really hope my cycle does return quickly and normal - 28 days would be nice ...Will let you know how it goes. Kayz - yey September! Come join the back end of 08 ttcers! There aren't many of us - maybe a few more will join the fold in the next few months!
Am going for dinner at a friends on Tuesday, she has a gorgeous DD who is nearly a year and I am already getting excited about giving her a cuddle! Broodiness is a strange strange thing...

Teuch · 17/02/2008 13:27

I have lots of symptoms today, ladies .

Tiredness, nausea, headaches, dodgy tum...

Let's face it, I am just a greedy cow who can't say no even after 5 2 glasses of wine

I never know whether to stay off the wine during the 2ww as, to be honest, it just goes so slowly... Life can pass you by whilst ttc-ing . By next week I will cut out wine and switch to decaf, then at least I have something to console me when BFN!!

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 14:52

Oh dear Teuch, I kinda know how you feel, we had a botle of wine at the meal and then finished the one we had at home. I feel very tired today.

Diege · 17/02/2008 15:00

Feeling sick here too - after a whole 400g bar of fruit and nut - yes, the big square one . Guess whose period is due? . I look like this

kayzisbroody · 17/02/2008 15:05

I've just eaten half a box of Cadburys Heroes. No reason except they were there.
