New thread for those of us now trying for the first babies of 2024, may we all be lucky this month!

I'm CD1 today of cycle 6 ttc my second.
Had a chemical at the end of February and lots of illness in March so revved up to give this month all I've got!

I messed up and probably missed ovulation yesterday. I ovulated early last cycle and was 100% sure I wouldn't ovulate on cd11 again but probably did. My temps have been the same the past week and now gone up and we only dtd on -2

@emmatcc1 I'm in a similar position! -2 is one of the best days though! Fingers crossed for you

Well, AF decided she wanted me to look silly after I last posted.
She ‘came’ 3 days early, but went away as quickly as she started, same on the following days and is now finally here ‘properly’ a day late.

I’ve been cramping for about 10 days and I’ve never spotted like this before AF, so you can imagine the confusion! But finally, CD1, fresh cycle. Onwards!

can anyone help and share their knowledge. It may seem like a stupid question. I’m pretty sure I ovulated around 5 days later than usual so CD21 instead of CD16. My cycle is usually around 30 days. My app is still calculating AF due at 30 days and is suggesting I test if AF is 1 day late but would it not be more likely that AF will now come 5 days later? I’m usually like clockwork so a bit in the dark about what to expect in this scenario.

@Bluebell0921 sorry I've only just started with opks. After my miscarriage, I think I was ovulating earlier so my period came earlier. It would make sense if you ovulated later that your period would turn up later.

I tested this morning. I think I am 11dpo and it was a starkly white BFN so I'm probably out and will be having strong words with my fitbit for raising my hopes with high rhr readings 😂.

@Bluebell0921 im in the exact same situation. I’ve ovulated on CD21 I’ve a 30 day average cycle and AF due on the 30th. It wouldn’t make sense to test on the 29th. I would only be 8 DPO. I’m confused about this one. Hoping this is my month. I had loads of EWCM (didn’t last month) and we have been BD every second night. Can anyone shed any light on this?

is there anyone with a cycle length around 30 days or anyone that typically ovulated in and around CD 20. How long after did you get your BFP?

I thought I ov’d on the 16th but EWCM and ovary pain occurred on 21st and yesterday. I have run out of OPKs so I couldn’t confirm! But I’m so happy that I had all those symptoms. I haven’t had them for the past two cycles!!!

@Babyhopeful23 our cycles sound very similar! Hopefully someone can shed some light for us. I don’t want to get excited because my period is late when it’s just because I ovulated late. I’ve had mixed messages when I’ve googled.

The period between ovulation and af stays the same so if you ovulated 5 days later your period will also be due 5 days later.

Morning Ladies! Hope you all had a good weekend. I was at a hen do (first in years!) and Im exhausted today! I ovulated Saturday and managed to dtd O day(05:30 before DD woke up!), O-1, O-2, O-3 and O-5 so covered all bases I hope. Now in the dreaded wait. 😩

@Bluebell0921 and @Babyhopeful23 hwo strange you both O'd later. This happened to me last month after my chemical, and yes luteal phase stayed the same so it was one loooong month. When are your revised af due dates? We may have similar cycles if it was the end of last week.

No testing yet but I just bought some, not sure if anyone has used these? They seem new like a boots brand of frer as they didn’t have any actual frer.

I’ve been awol on the threads waiting for fertile window, I am still a good while out, 8 days until predicted ovulation! I am going to start OPK testing in a few days 👌🏻 Didn’t start too early this month as drives me mad.

@Sophie3839 every boots I stop in now never have FRER so think they’re discontinuing!
Those are as sensitive as Clearblue Early and I do see lots of people using them recently :)

Ok I don’t recommend these tests! Very unclear and even the control line is pale compared to a frer! There’s a maybe line there but could be an Evap. Wish they’d had frer 😬

@Sophie3839 Ive heard these are good but I agree thats not very clear... Superdrugs own ones are supposed to be good too I think. Definitely a line there though, I hope it gets clearer for you!

Thanks @TunnocksTCake maybe it’s just a dodgy test. Will go on a frer hunt and try again tomo with fmu. By 12dpo ive always has clear lines with other tests ☺️

@Sophie3839 those test always take longer to show a clear positive.

Ok thanks @emmatcc1 i did wonder that. They don’t seem as responsive as the frer for sure. In terms of symptoms all I’ve had is milk tasting funny and an upset tummy 10dpo night so who knows 🤷🏼‍♀️
any one else testing today? Any other symptoms?

@TunnocksTCake amazing job with DTD I’m not surprised your shattered! You’ve given yourself a good chance there though. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

AF would be due on Sunday 30th. One week to go 😂 I’m adamant that I’m not going to early test. I don’t have a good feeling about it though, I think the late ovulation threw me off. I really want to book a holiday for June but it’s so hard to plan things I just keep thinking what if I’m pregnant by then and really ill with symptoms. So hard not to put your life on hold.

@Sophie3839 I think I used those tests before and I was pregnant. Plus you can see a line there so hopefully becomes clear for you 😊

@TunnocksTCake my rhr still is higher than normal but has dropped a bit over the last few days. After my bfn at 11dpo, im refusing to test until after my period is due. It's too expensive otherwise🙈. Also I think I'm out but nevermind onto the next cycle.

@Bluebell0921 I completely get what you mean about booking holidays etc. I feel like I put my life on hold last year so this year I'm not holding back. I've booked three theme park trips to tempt fate to give me a bfp (UK based though - perhaps I should book disney instead haha)!
