New thread for those of us now trying for the first babies of 2024, may we all be lucky this month!

I'm CD1 today of cycle 6 ttc my second.
Had a chemical at the end of February and lots of illness in March so revved up to give this month all I've got!

Hi all! Can I join? Been mooching around a few threads and TTC for about 3 months, and have now slipped into a 2024 due date so feels like the right place to be!

We are having a month of trying next cycle (currently waiting for AF to arrive, she's late by 3 days at the moment and haven't tested since 10dpo so will today but can feel the AF symptoms). Hoping to hold off next cycle and start again after our wedding in June.

Due on Saturday. Had a bit of spotting so not holding out much hope! But I guess you never know

Can I ask what is sperm meets egg? Is this using the menstrual cup?

As well as what was said above you can mention someone in your message by putting an @ before their name then you can reply to multiple people at once.

@Daniki it is the Sperm meets egg plan - a way of timing sex for the fertile window which involves every other day from when your period finishes (ish) then when you get a peak OPK you dtd 3 times in a row, skip a day and try once more. I tend to start it on CD 11/12 but I ovulate on CD 16/17 so its around a week for us all in.

Joining the thread - been trying TTC for a few months and am currently having aunt flow! First proper period in about a year since I had my son Dec 2020.

Fingers crossed this is the cycle and wishing everyone lots of baby dust! i’m so desperately craving a baby! all i see everywhere is little babies!

also does anyone have any advice on how to track BBT? do you use a app? i get up different times depending on if i’m going office/WFH etc! i’m on day 2 of my cycle at moment!

AF has come early on 11 DPO so here we go - CD1. Bring on 2024!

Hi @Optimistic66 I had my DD in Sept 2020 and also craving another little one. All my friends from when I had her are on their second and some thinking about thirds already! Fingers crossed this will be our month.

I think taking BBT at the same time each day is quite important so if at all possible can you set an alarm for the same time each day? Or at least during the key days over ovulation so you know that bit is correct?I think the advice for shift workers (for example) is to do it after longest period of sleep so I guess you could try to do it when you wake each morning and see if it makes a difference being at a different time. I notice a difference if I sleep for even 1 hour longer, its so bizarre but I think each person is different.

@TunnocksTCake ok thanks might give this a go this time I think I should be finished period tomorrow, will start testing with my OPK aswell tomorrow! Here's to us all getting pregnant this cycle 🙏😅

@Optimistic66 I think consistency is key either after longest sleep or same time. I get up multiple times per night so always take it at same time regardless of amount of sleep and can always pin point ovulation.

Is anyone else's temperature quite low, I only come back at 35.4 etc, according to google I'm not far off hypothermia 😅 I consistently temp as soon as I wake, before I do anything else. Not sure if my thermometer isn't very sensitive or if I'm just a cold person.

I'm just entering my fertile week so it'll be interesting to see if I go up. This is my first month tracking bbt and we're on cycle #4.

I do remember being hot an early symptom of pregnancy with my DD!

@Bailem the lowest my temp has ever got is 35.8 😂do you temp orally? Is the thermometer far back enough under your tongue? I think that can affect it x

@Bailem I'm not sure the actual temp matters that much as long as it's done consistently as your looking for the difference between high/low

I just started doing the opk tests this morning, even tho it's the last day of my period, to get a feel for it. Using the Premom app and my reading is low, obviously! 😂

@Bailem Have you tried putting it in your mouth to warm up for a few minues before pressing the button? Ive heard that being recommended somewhere if you dont think the temps are right. That does seem low.

I think I am due my peak today and hoping to O tomorrow. I looked back through past charts and can see a pattern with my EWCM that I always get 2 days of it then O the following day so thats handy to know and narrow down fertile window! EWCM started yesterday for me. We dtd Monday, last night and will do tonight and tomorrow I think as I am away on Saturday.

@TunnocksTCake I have tried morning and it was higher but still low.

My OPKS are very strong (high) last night so I'm expecting my Peak too, we must have a similar cycle 🙂 wishing positive thoughts! We're doing every other night and we really couldn't be bothered last night. My OH said it takes the fun away a bit but fingers crossed it'll be worth it x

Well my peak has not appeared yet, which is frustrating! Looked like it was going up this morning then disappeared! That means a 5am wake up on Saturday before the hen do 💤🥱

Tentative positive this morning at 12dpo on a cheapie. (I did one last night as well which was even fainter!).

I can’t quite believe it, not getting excited until I miss AF which is due tomorrow. Eeek

My peak came overnight/ this morning which is great, we dtd last night and night before and will do tonight then have to skip tomorrow but hopefully it's been enough 🤞🏻🙏

Hi everyone, can I join? I'm on CD19, ovulated 2 days ago I think, but today temp has dropped...? However, I did drink some cold water before taking temp as was so thirsty and totally forgot! Does anyone know if that might have impacted temp? I had a very strong LH test this month, so hoping I have ovulated. Hopefully temp will be up tomorrow! I also has my AMH and AFC results yesterday, my AMH is on the low side (9.4p/mol, for anyone in the know) and 15 AFC, so that was fine (I'm 34). Is anyone else trying to lose weight too?! My BMI is 32 so i'm trying my best, but it's so hard! Trying to eat as clean as possible.

Hey Ladies been a while since I commented @Mushroo congratulations I just got my BFP yesterday and started out like yours on a hcg and two days later I got it on digital test, congratulations 🥳
