New thread for those of us now trying for the first babies of 2024, may we all be lucky this month!

I'm CD1 today of cycle 6 ttc my second.
Had a chemical at the end of February and lots of illness in March so revved up to give this month all I've got!

How early does everyone start testing? I've got some cheap boots strips and then some digital ultra early clear blue ones I'm saving for when AF is late or I'm a bit closer to it

@Annie1295 I got my faint BFP on 10DPO but I've only been having 26 day cycles since MMC. I knew it was going to be positive because of my symptoms, If you have a few of the cheapie ones and you're feeling funny then there's no harm🤷‍♀️don't be too disheartened if it's not though as you still have a few days before AF. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Did a test this morning - a BFN. Not sure why I expected anything else it's still way too early to see anything on the cheap tests... still feeling funny though so will just see how the rest of the week goes

So I think this might be a chemical for me. 😭My lines have gotten darker but I've started spotting this morning and quite crampy (AF was due 4 days ago) I'm on holidays at the moment so can't go to doc till next week. I'm just going to wait and see if spotting gets worse as the day goes on and keep testing over next few days but I have a very bad feeling 😢

@Sez281 oh I'm sorry you're going through that! You never know though. Some spotting and cramps can be normal I think

@Annie1295 it was definitely a chemical as flow got heavier and testing BFN now 😢 (I thought it would take longer for hcg to leave my system) I'm very sad but also quite hopeful as reading a lot of positive threads about ttc the cycle after CPs so will start OPKs as soon as this has passed.

How are you getting on?

@Sez281 sorry to hear that. I've heard positive things about chemicals too and think I might have had one the cycle before I fell pregnant last time. I'm not entirely sure as I didn't test but AF was a day late and then quite a lot more painful and heavier than usual. So maybe there's some truth to it.

I've not tested again as I don't want to get disappointed over and over again. Still feeling tired, the queasiness has settled a bit but my boobs are now quite sore and swollen and I think I need to pee more often so got myself convince I might get a BFP. Whether that is true or wishful thinking we'll see on Saturday when AF is due

@Annie1295 I was only thinking today that it may have happened to me in Dec a cycle before my BFP at the end of January so fingers crossed it is true 🤞

Those symptoms definitely sound like it could be something but you're probably right to wait until Saturday. Fingers crossed for you 🤞

Hi guys - jumping over here from the Feb '24 thread as I'm sadly going through my second missed miscarriage, but we're keen to try again as soon as possible. Hope everyone is doing ok. I wish we'd been told at school how hard and stressful this whole TTC thing can be!

I've just caved and tested again and another BFN so I think I'm probably out for this month. I'm a bit confused as I really do feel pregnant but I guess my hormones might still be adjusting as well. It's not over until AF shows up but I'm not getting my hopes up

BBT dropped this morning so definitely out for this month. Must just have been my body still adjusting after mmc that's been giving me all the symptoms. On to the next month I guess

i usually use the strip ovulation tests however this month I decided to get the clear blue digital. I have had the flashing smiley face Tuesday - today so 4 days, and this morning was my last test as I was hoping I’d have gotten my peak by now! Has anyone else experienced this?

@ShanTTC22 I've had up to 6 flashing before peak - usually it's 4 for me (last cycle I got pregnant was only 2!)

@ShanTTC22 I've had 7 before because I got the day to start testing wrong based on my cycle length so that could affect jt?

@ShanTTC22 I've had 2 cycles of 9 days of flashing smilies 🙄 I gave up on cb opks too expensive in the end

Anyone doing SMEP this month? I swear if we don’t make a baby this month there is no hope for us 😂😂 I’m actually enjoying it but I couldn’t do it every month. CD15 and due to ovulate on Sunday. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻

@Babyhopeful23 we are doing SMEP this month, DTD yesterday CD8 and will go again tomorrow.trying to conserve energy ready for the every day part 😳

@CinderRosie im just coming to the end of it. It’s fine, I mean it’s probably not something we could do every month. I think it’s just a lot of pressure to have a timetable and would ruin the mood.
did you use a calculator to decide when to DTD? I haven’t fully pinpointed Ovulation on OPKs but I base it on symptoms and the trending LH rise. If it doesn’t happen this month I’m going for the clear blue ovulation tests.

@Babyhopeful23 I have already been using the CB digi tests and Easy @ home alongside for a few months, so can usually pinpoint ovulation and I’m just planning DTD around what result I get. It does all feel quite timetabled I’m just going to try and make it as relaxed and fun as possible 😂

Yea we're doing SMEP this month. I'm exhausted! 🫣😂 peaked yesterday so ovulated today. We did yesterday, will go tonight tomorrow and Thursday and hope for the best! 😁🤞🏻

@Babyhopeful23 we don't do SMEP exactly I just work back from predicted ovulation and we try to DTD every two days during the fertile window. Found every day and being too scheduled quite hard

I've been a bit MIA on these forums recently as I took a big step back, until I was nearing O day and started testing LH numerous times a day 🤣. First time using preseed this month as well and DTD -5, -2, twice on -1 and then O day. Back into the two week wait tomorrow 🤞🏼

@Angelselevenx Goodluck! I used preseed when I conceived my son, and started using it again now! So hopefully lucky for us both 🍀 🙌

@Annie1295 I'll let you know in two weeks if AF arrives 🤣🤣 we used it three times over the 3 days so 🤞🏼 lots of positive stories if you Google but doesn't work for everyone first time
