Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

@Jennifer89 no i don’t… I’m not sure why, I guess it just feels silly/obsessive (which it kind of is), I have no symptoms I’m just curious. And wasting money. So see no need to alert him to it until I think I might be (if AF is late) or if/when I do actually get a BFP! So same as you.

He doesn’t show any curiosity through my cycle - doesn’t mean he isn’t curious, it’s just his mindset is I’ll keep him informed when there’s something to tell.

This is cycle 6 though, so if we’re not lucky I want to get more of a plan in place (involving private tests for him, log things with NHS GP and give them all my private results, etc). Which will shift approach from me ‘managing’ this process to us sharing the load more. I was trying to be ultra chilled about it to start with (on the outside, was never chilled on the inside lol).

Thank you @uop21. I’m feeling ok but frustrated. My cycles have gone mad since I started trying with loads of spotting in the TWW and I don’t understand why!

Also just want it to happen as it feels my life is on hold in the meantime. I know I’m only cycle 3 though so I really can’t complain too much.

@Natty83 Think I’m 1dpo too. Got a peak on Monday, which has now come down. DTD Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Would like to relax today but maybe should keep trying for the next too days incase the egg is released late? What are you doing?

Hi @Mushroo , I feel the same. This is the next step of my life. We’ve achieved a lot in last few years and this is what I’m now working towards. So for it not to be happening is so frustrating… I don’t know what else to do with myself. Keep googling success rates and it seems crazy that “up to 2 years” is deemed normal, when almost all my friends fell on first try.

Absolutely this! I didn’t think it would be so consuming because I know logically it can take awhile, but it’s so consuming. Also silly things like we’re trying to plan a holidays, and having to rule out anywhere with Zika is hard! not knowing if I’ll even be pregnant by summer as well.

I saw on another thread that the chance each cycle is about 20%(ish) so it’s like trying to roll a 6 on a dice. Some will get a 6 first time, and others take awhile. That made me feel a bit better.

it’s so good to hear from others who feel similarly.

Lots a chat about SMEP which is nice to see, think we are going to give to ago this cycle! We tried a few months ago but didn’t manage to doing it fully 🙈 so giving it another shot! If anyone is interested in finding out a bit more info about it, you can download a few E-book from Amazon!

I am 13dpo today and expecting AF tomorrow. I'm so frustrated I just want to know which way its going to go 😂 it feels impossible to wait this last day but I also don't want to waste a test if I'm just going to get AF tomorrow anyway. I can't tell if she's going to come or not, usually have clear signs but I'm not really feeling anything either way.

I'm on cycle 3 ttc our 2nd after a missed miscarriage in Dec. I was so sure it would happen for us last month that I tested every day from 8dpo and felt myself getting progressively more down after each bfn. I told myself I wouldn't test early this month and I would stay off the forums. Well I'm caving on the forum thing last minute 😅

Having flicked through the previous posts looks like we have one BFP already in this thread? If I did get a bfp I would be due around 1st Dec.

CD6 here. AF over. Just plodding. Was going to do bbt again but I mean failed on day one and forgot

@Sierra26 it's still early, so you're not out yet! Are you just going to test every day or wait a couple of days?

@Natty83 I think I am O today so close to all you guys. Not sure what my chances will be like as I've been so ill but I'm coming out the other side now so there's always a chance. Will have only got O and O-1 but they are the best days I guess...!

@Jennifer89 no I don't involve dh with every test, I just tell him when there's something to know. We've had a few mc and I know he finds it really hard so I try to wait til I have a definite line before telling him!

I just had a gush of cm and something told me to POAS again and I'm sure I see a second line on the top test, photo took within about 3 mins bottom test I took with same urine sample so I could capture where the test line would be if what I can see if the start of a line... have I officially gone insane😩😩😩 I feel to bin all my test! I've canceled my subscription with amazon I'm not doing this no more! This is my last cycle obsessing over everything!

@TunnocksTCake would be lying if I said I wasn’t going to test every morning til AF!!

@Mushroo not knowing how to plan events, holidays, outfits etc is so annoying. I’m trying to just go ahead and plan things in, and if plans have to change due to pregnancy then that’s a nice problem to have.

@Bellabeemarie i can see a shadow of a line there but so difficult to say! Keeping fingers crossed for you xx

Does anyone else who tracks bbt get a slow rise following the ovulation dip?

@Bellabeemarie I see what you mean, I think you can always see the line where the test line would be when the dye is still moving over it. I can see a shadow of something but too early to tell. If it's making you stressed I have often found it easier when I keep the tests out of the house so may be worth a try!

@Angelselevenx yes it takes 2-3 days for my temp to actually get to the high zone. I remember worrying about it and did some research and it's perfectly fine, just a personal variation thing 😊

I had an obvious spoke last month (tracking orally) but this month it's been a slow rise so far (tracking vaginally) 🤷🏻‍♀️

My temps are a lot higher to start with though due to tracking vaginally... (Average of around 36.73 to start!)

@TunnocksTCake @HannahLouD glad I'm not the only one. I started tracking mid way through AF and it's my first month tracking so I'm still learning!

@Mushroo your feelings are valid regardless if you've been trying for 3 months or 3 years, we are all going through the same journey and it's great to have a thread like this to help us through it.

We've just booked a holiday for June, we put that on hold for the last 6 months with the hope of not having to book because we "might" be pregnant but I'm quite over that now and I'm planning lots of things to do to have an amazing summer and also to take my mind of TTC, if a pregnancy comes along at the same time I will deal with it at that time 😂

Did you try the SMEP? Lots of positive feedback on that so I might try that this month, well I'll be trying that tomorrow as I'll be CD8

We didn’t SMEP last month, but I’ve bought OPKs and going to try and give it a good go this month!

Also spent the morning looking at holidays to book to take my mind off it all 😂 You’re right that any cancelling / moving holidays will be a nice problem to have!

Ah I love that you girls are booking holidays! We've been putting it off "just in case" but I realise now it's such a silly way to live... Defo gonna try and get a holiday booked soon - why not!?

On an unrelated note... If cm dries up pretty much completely at 4dpo am I likely not in with a chance this month? Last month when I had my chemical my cm didn't dry up at all, just got super creamy... Already feeling like I'm out... Ridiculous I know! I just can't get into my head that it will ever happen again!

@HannahLouD make sure you’re hydrated and if needs be use a sperm safe lube!

Before I was TTC I always found I had CM when I didn’t want it … now I never feel like I have what I hated before 🙈 sure it’s all in my head.

But yes I read somewhere staying hydrated and I also have PreSeed on standby, however it’s a slippery old business that stuff 🤣 not the most user friendly haha
