Hi everyone,
Thought I'd create a new thread as the TTC Oct and Nov we're so helpful to me :) There were so many BFPs in the Nov group so statistics doing their thing there will be lots of BFPS in this Dec thread too which is super exciting.

Im currently on CD3 of my 5th cycle TTC #2.

@AlleycatMarie that is early to test. Sending you love though. It’s crap.

We’ve been ‘trying’ for two years now but realistically we don’t do it enough at the right time. OH used to really stressed if I tell him the schedule so I’ve had to educate him about biology. We’re going to try SMEP this coming month - I have warned him he’s going to be on a schedule but he seems a bit more on board now.

I also need to know where to buy pure grapefruit juice not from concentrate! Can’t find it anywhere.

Sierra26 · 19/03/2023 12:09

Ladies I’m so sorry, please go easy on yourselves today. Lots of v early testing, many people don’t get BFPs until days after missed periods ❤️

I’m feeling weirdly down and teary today too. I don’t think it’s really down to Mother’s Day, but it might be. I had a phone call with my own mum to catch up, and I told her I’m going to two friends baby showers in next few weeks and her reaction was so disproportionate for people she barely knows, being all hyper, asking why I didn’t tell her before, counting back the months to when she last saw them, saying she wishes she could have congratulated them, etc etc. Truth of the matter is I didn’t tell her as I knew she’d react this way and she always uses other peoples business to guide conversations toward what she wants to talk about. So now she’s armed with this she’ll talk about it constantly and will use it to try get me talking about babies/grandkids. She knows we want them, but not that we’re TTC, and it’s not something I want to talk to her about yet. She’s always made comments like “we do want grandkids you know” as if that’s the primary point?? As soon as she knows we’re TTC it’s like she’ll be on the journey with us, crossing boundaries, pushing for me to share how I’m feeling so she can feel it too, and I can’t do it yet. If we’re not lucky soon I know we’ll have to share, but the thought of it is unbearable right now.

Sorry this has turned in to an over share on a topic no one asked for 😬 I’m very lucky to have my mum in my life but it’s not always an easy relationship. And… saying that makes me feel even worse 😭😂 xxx

Sierra26 · 19/03/2023 12:15

@Fallulah my DH is the same. He said “it only takes one go” and I’m like “uhh clearly not”.

He’s starting to take it more seriously now though since I explained how I’m literally thinking about it all pretty much all day every day. Educating myself, testing, temping, logging, getting AF, but managing it all myself until we reach his part (FW). And if we don’t get a good enough go during FW the thought that it’s all for nothing until next cycle is depressing.

Mummyme87 · 19/03/2023 13:04

Ttc is so bloody hard. Every month breaks me a little bit more. I keep thinking at certain points I could be pregnant, like my sisters wedding in October I was expecting to need to add a baby to the booking but now I’m hoping I’ll be pregnant then. My cousins wedding in May, I haven’t bought a dress as I’m thinking I’ll be pregnant but that’s looking less likely. I want to go to the baby show with my pregnant friend in May but only if I’m pregnant, assumed I would be but not so confident now. I can’t believe I started my third ttc journey on a certain month so I could go on holiday still… last May! What a joke

RegardingPersephone · 19/03/2023 15:26

Hi all, got AF today so moving to here from the Nov TTC thread. Flo says I would be due Dec 24th if I fall on in this next cycle.

Finding myself obsessing about this a bit and it doesn't seem healthy 😬

emmatcc1 · 19/03/2023 16:10

Hi I'm ttc baby#1 currently CD 2 this will be our 8th cycle didn't think it would take that long. I don't have any issues my cycles are about 28 days, ovulation from days 10-14. If we conceive my due date would be christmas. I don't do OPK I just check my cervix when it's open an track CM also we dtd every other day. Overall we're both pretty healthy aged 21 and 26.What are you doing different this month?

lottieb92 · 19/03/2023 18:14

@Mummyme87 been there got the same badge, working out due dates, not making plans, booking holidays. It’s truly terrible 😖 I’m relaxing into it more now: but I still find myself working it all out like a mad woman, soon it’ll all be worth it for us 🥲🤞🏻

@Sierra26 i was sick last month and we only DTD 2 x and not after a peak. I was furious and it does all feel for nothing especially when you’re investing in OPK time and scheduling. We’re trying SMEP for the first time this month. It seems intense but I want to know we’ve tried our best for once as we’ve had a really false start this year and we are nearly 4 months in 😭

@RegardingPersephone i defo am finding the balance hard as well as to what’s normal and what’s not. I made myself a promise to not bring it up today at a family lunch….. still did. They’re all my close family and know we are TTC since the wedding so I think I just blurt it out now to get it over it. But they must think I am obssesssssssed! Lol which maybe I am 🥲

@emmatcc1 welcome!! If you’re managing every other day mid cycle you’re doing great! you’ll get there!!!
I am going to temperature chart this month, my first try and try the sperm meets egg plan as it seems to be successful for a lot of ladies!

good luck to all of you this cycle! 🤍✨

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 19/03/2023 18:16

Definitely do the SMEP I'm sure that's what's made the difference for us this month! X

AlleycatMarie · 19/03/2023 18:38

@buckingmad so sorry about your miscarriage and also the bfn. Let’s hope we are both just testing too early. I take encouragement from your experience with your daughter though! Xx

@lottieb92 thank you; it’s so hard isn’t it? Out tests haven’t shown anything wrong, but we’ve just been told we should be eligible for one ivf go on the nhs. Xx

@Feliciacat I know you’re right. Every month I vow to wait and every time I fail! Xx

@MilkyAndFluffy so sorry you got a bfn. It’s just so shit. Xx

@Fallulah we’ve been trying for two years, but sometimes it’s really hard to find the time (and energy). My husband gets tired after a few days and feels pressure to perform. Xx

@Sierra26 I’m sorry you’re having a tough day. My mum does know we are ttc and even though she doesn’t pressure me for updates, I still feel pressure to be able to deliver good news, so I get my you are keeping it quiet. Sending hugs xx

@Mummyme87 we have booked holidays and I keep thinking we might have to cancel etc if I’m heavily pregnant, but I feel I’ve been living like this for the last two years. It’s so tough xx

Aww @AlleycatMarie @buckingmad @MilkyAndFluffy I'm sorry about your BFN, I'm thinking of you all! It's such a tough thing to be going through, but I know that I take comfort in knowing we aren't alone and are all here for each other! @Sierra26 @Mummyme87 I feel you both! Feels like your whole life is on hold as you may be pregnant by then etc. Feels like you're wishing your life away! And time just passes... hoping we all get our BFP soon! Xxxx

Mummyme87 · 19/03/2023 20:12

@lottieb92 I’m definitely more relaxed into ttc, on the whole, but still can’t help working out dates etc. requesting annual leave and thinking oh well I might be on Mat leave then. 18months in and I do think it just may never happen for us again 😞

HannahLouD · 19/03/2023 20:14

Hello!

Am I ok to join? :)

Cd20 (1dpo) after a chemical last month which delayed ovulation :(
Cycle 3 ttc no. 2 (with new partner)

Hope everyone's doing ok!x

AlleycatMarie · 19/03/2023 22:19

Thanks @Floralsandsmiles ! How are you doing? Xx

Jennifer89 · 19/03/2023 23:31

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 remember you mentioned you tend to get spotting before your period, just curious did you get any implantation bleeding?
In past months when spotting I have got excited that it could be that..

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 20/03/2023 08:20

@Jennifer89 no I have had no bleeding yet and I've had a positive on a digital now I did however have that with my first baby xx

PumpkinTruffles · 20/03/2023 09:38

Hi... back on these boards after stepping away for a bit. I had a chemical in December and have been trying to not get obsessive ever since. Very hard to do! I also said I wouldn't test before my period was due again, however the past few days my boobs have been really sore, so I caved and took a test this morning. I got a positive on a clear blue digital! I'm getting negatives though on the easy at home ones and my period is due in 2 days. I have some FRERs on their way from Amazon... I don't want to get my hopes up after my chemical so might try and resist testing for a few days (who am I kidding?)

Hi @PumpkinTruffles welcome back! :)
I'm sorry to hear about your chemical in December... I had one last month and I didn't realise how much it would affect me.
I had my bfp on a CB weeks indicator at 11dpo and my frers were showing positive from 10dpo... my easy@homes though were much lighter! (didn't get darker really until 14dpo) and then after that all my other tests started getting lighter too :( I think they take longer to progress than other tests so I would try not to worry too much! Fingers crossed this month is a sticky one for you x

PumpkinTruffles · 20/03/2023 10:15

Thank you @HannahLouD that does give me (cautious) hope. I'm sorry about your chemical too - I was surprised at how much it affected me as well. I tried not to be down about it, but when you have the excitement of positive tests, it's just horrible. And then my cycle was all over the place for a couple of months so it felt like testing for ovulation was taking over my life. Fingers crossed for you too 🤞🏻

@PumpkinTruffles Yeah, my cycle has been messed up this month! But we keep on going... 2dpo and already fed up of the wait 😂
I'd defo trust the digital over the cheapie strips! Let us know how you get on with the frers x

Jennifer89 · 20/03/2023 11:46

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 ah ok thanks, interesting how implantation bleeding seems to vary with ladies, sometimes seens to happen but other times not..

Tryingtoconceivenumber2 · 20/03/2023 11:53

@Jennifer89 yes I had never heard of it before I had my first and actually thought the implantation blood was the start of my period x

Jennifer89 · 20/03/2023 12:45

@Tryingtoconceivenumber2 I would just assume the same as I get spotting before period starts anyway.. maybe you don't remember but did your implantation last just 1-2 days like it tends to confirm online? X

MilkyAndFluffy · 20/03/2023 12:55

@AlleycatMarie @Floralsandsmiles thanks girls, it is shit and like you say, the support on here is everything. All in the same painful bubble. X
