Hi all, AF graced me with her presence this morning... after what I thought were some promising cramps/light bleeding over the weekend. (It was just my mind playing tricks on me but so glad I waited it out, I think a negative test might have upset me a little) Made a note of all my symptoms, so I know what to expect next month, in case it's a no again.

We will be going again for cycle 2 in around 2 weeks time if anyone is in the same boat and is looking for support?

We haven't told many people we've started trying for our 1st baby, so I'm desperate to chat with someone else going through it.
Good luck to you all ♥️

Hi, I'm in the same boat:( started spotting yesterday, af should of started a few hours later but still on a tiny bit of spotting today. Was gettin my hopes up but starting to spot a bit more now so believe it's on it's way now :( anyway on to the next cycle 🤞

Lexie365 · 14/02/2023 20:21

Oh and this was cycle 1 for me too except I'm ttc #3 x

flowerlover1990 · 14/02/2023 21:34

@Lexie365 Ah keep me posted. All might not be lost this month. It's crazy how much your brain plays tricks on you! Wow baby 3, that's amazing. Will keep everything crossed for you. Is there anything that you feel helped with your first 2 which you'll be trying again this time?

No more bleeding since but honestly dont think it's my month :( and no not really, first pregnancy decided mid cycle to try and 2 weeks later was pregnant lol. Second pregnancy took 3 cycles but didn't do anything in particular the month I was successful except dtd more lol

flowerlover1990 · 14/02/2023 21:52

The next cycle will be here before we know it and we can go again. Sounds like you were lucky with your first 2, so hopefully you have 3rd time lucky too 🤞🏻🍀 Yeah we I don't think we dtd as much as we should have this month lol so we're trying the SMEP method this time... have you heard of it?

Joining you guys thus month. AF was due today but taking her time. Took a test and it was a glaring BFN. TTC #1. Been trying since last April and had a miscarriage in November.

flowerlover1990 · 15/02/2023 09:19

@BudgetBuster Of course 😊. I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage in November, that must be so tough. Hope you are taking care of yourself? Sending some luck your way, it must be your turn next 🤞🏻🍀

BudgetBuster · 15/02/2023 09:29

@flowerlover1990 Thank you. AF still not here but still BFN on tests. I never thought I'd be willing AF to hurry up so I can move on to the next cycle.

flowerlover1990 · 15/02/2023 13:38

@BudgetBuster I felt like that this month too. Keep me posted 🤞🏻

@flowerlover1990 I'm such an impatient person 😂 But even much husband is asking me the last few days has AF arrived yet. I'm going to try wait until Friday to test again if she's still a no-show!

Winniewobble · 15/02/2023 14:36

Hi all! Mind if I join? Af came on Sunday 🙄. Been ttc#1 a bit half heartedly for about a year now, but wasn't really paying close attention to ovulation etc and prob wasn't really dtd enough. Now I'm determined to give it a proper go! 😊

Just looked up SMEP... (I'm new to all the lingo) ..sounds like a great plan,I might try this too!

flowerlover1990 · 15/02/2023 14:56

Hey @Winniewobble of course you can. It's so nice to have a few girls to chat to who are going through the same things and probably thinking exactly the same at the moment too 😬. Yep SMEP method is looking good and I've also ordered a thermometer so I can track my ovulation a bit closer too. Have you got one? Like you, I've not really given ovulation much attention until now.. so would be nice to have confirmation I am actually ovulating properly too! Anything else you'll be trying this month? Let's share allll the tips we can lol.

BudgetBuster · 15/02/2023 15:00

I actually never heard of SMEP but I've just looked it up and we have been doing that the last 3 cycles.

I think this month I'm actually going to take a break from tracking ovulation and trying to time intercourse. I genuinely can't face another month of constantly thinking of nothing but where I am in my cycle.

Piglet34 · 15/02/2023 15:21

Hey guys! Please can I join too? I am TTC#1 and cycle coming will be #4. AF hasn't arrived for me yet but due in the next day or two, I had spotting Sunday and Monday but has gone away, but very unlikely for me this month anyway as I was away during my fertile week and only DTD the day after ovulation. I am also planning to SMEP next cycle and taking EPO to increase EWCM as well as trying preseed. Good luck to all of you this cycle! Xx

Winniewobble · 15/02/2023 15:53

@flowerlover1990 thanks 😊. This is the first time I've joined a chat like this, but have been having a good read of other chats for about a week now, nice to see how supportive all the ladies are to each other! I don't have a thermometer but I'm thinking about getting one! I have the CB opks which I sort of used last month/ think I messed it up lol, so will be using those from CD 8 this time and watching closer for all the signs of ewcm etc as I don't think I've paid enough attention to all this stuff before. Reading these chats though has really helped with understanding things to look out for! Also started taking supplements recently and trying to eat healthier as found out I have pcos in left ovary. Are you taking supplements or anything?

Wishing you all the best of luck this cycle 🤞xx

flowerlover1990 · 15/02/2023 17:58

@Piglet34 Hey! Yes of course you can 😊 Seems like there is a few of us who are fairly early on in this process.. so will be so nice to chat to you all. Aww well you just never know until AF arrives, keep us posted on it! I'd looked into EPO too, let me know how you get on with it too! I've got some pre seed too 🤣 we are defo on it this month!

@BudgetBuster totally get it. I think this could easily become a bit overwhelming. Hopefully a relaxed approach might make it your month! I really do have everything crossed for you! 🤞🏻

Me too. We can both be newbies in this whole thing together! I've learnt a lot from reading on this forum over the last week too. I had to Google half the abbreviations as I had no clue what anyone was on about in the beginning 😂.
I also have PCOS so there is another thing we have in common too! Like you, I'm really focusing on good nutrition and I've been taking Ovasitol since July which helps regulate your hormones and improve egg quality etc. I also take Omega 3, Magnesium, Zinc, Iron, Folic Acid, Vit D, Multi Vit but have taken them for a while anyway as they help my pcos symptoms. Also gone gluten free which has helped get my pcos under control x

Good luck with the preeseed ladies (that's lube right? Lol). I've got the conceive plus one to try for this cycle, hopefully does the job lol

@flowerlover1990 sounds like you have lots of supplements covered! I need to have another look at mine. My friend recommended the ones I have but I'm not sure if they cover EVERYTHING lol. But also eating more veggies now so hopefully covering a few with that. Feel so much more positive now that I have a bit of a plan and better understanding, should have done all this ages ago 🙈

Floralsandsmiles · 15/02/2023 19:12

Hi ladies! Please can I join? I'm CD9 and still bleeding! So weird!! Testing ovulation tests every morning and tracking bbt and no peak or surge yet.. it should be CD15! So I don't have long and it's stressing me that I've bled for so long! What the hell! 😔😔 xxx

Hi @Floralsandsmiles 👋. I swear I've had that occasionally, when it drags on a bit, or you think it's gone and then pops up again a day or two later, hopefully all pretty normal 🤞😊. How long have you been doing the bbt? Would you recommend it? I guess it can't hurt along with opks so I think I'll get on the case. Try not to stress it cant go on much longer surely💃x

@Winniewobble hi! It's so annoying though! I mean why! And then I've stupidly done down the Google rabbit hole and it says could be a sign of cancer 😒
Hopefully it will be finished today and then tomorrow my ovulation tests go up as does bbt! Lol
It's not so much that I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not as useful as the ovulation tests. They tell you when the peak is and then you have at least 24 hours to DTD. Bbt just confirms ovulation has happened. So doesn't help in catching it.
That's my understanding anyways, and I've only been tracking starting from this month.. xxx

@Winniewobble Which supplements are you taking? Anything else I need to add to my stash? Yep preseed is the lube 😂 who know all these things existed to help conception lol

Hey @Floralsandsmiles yes of course ☺️ Sounds like a couple of us are new to all of this so we can muddle through it all together! Are you ttc 1st baby? Ahh that's so frustrating when you don't get what's happening with your cycle 😞 I used to have long cycles and I felt like the more I thought about it, the more delayed everything was! I'm sure it will stop soon and you'll get back on track. Some months can just be a bit off I think for no reason x
