Hi all, AF graced me with her presence this morning... after what I thought were some promising cramps/light bleeding over the weekend. (It was just my mind playing tricks on me but so glad I waited it out, I think a negative test might have upset me a little) Made a note of all my symptoms, so I know what to expect next month, in case it's a no again.

We will be going again for cycle 2 in around 2 weeks time if anyone is in the same boat and is looking for support?

We haven't told many people we've started trying for our 1st baby, so I'm desperate to chat with someone else going through it.
Good luck to you all ♥️

@Winniewobble Which supplements are you taking? Anything else I need to add to my stash? Yep preseed is the lube 😂 who know all these things existed to help conception lol

I'm taking folic acid, magnesium, calcium, zinc, DHA, Coq10 and iron tablets xxx

Hey @Floralsandsmiles yes of course ☺️ Sounds like a couple of us are new to all of this so we can muddle through it all together! Are you ttc 1st baby? Ahh that's so frustrating when you don't get what's happening with your cycle 😞 I used to have long cycles and I felt like the more I thought about it, the more delayed everything was! I'm sure it will stop soon and you'll get back on track. Some months can just be a bit off I think for no reason x

Thank you @flowerlover1990 ! I am actually TTC #2 but DS is nearly 13. So some age gap! Lol I'm now old compared go before and don't have that on my side too 🙃 😅 xxxx

@Winniewobble hi! It's so annoying though! I mean why! And then I've stupidly done down the Google rabbit hole and it says could be a sign of cancer 😒
Hopefully it will be finished today and then tomorrow my ovulation tests go up as does bbt! Lol
It's not so much that I wouldn't recommend it, but it's not as useful as the ovulation tests. They tell you when the peak is and then you have at least 24 hours to DTD. Bbt just confirms ovulation has happened. So doesn't help in catching it.
That's my understanding anyways, and I've only been tracking starting from this month.. xxx

@Floralsandsmiles oh no, googling can be the worst 🙈! I'm sure till be back to norm tomorrow 🤞. Are you waiting till a certain day/temp etc for when you start dtd...do you have a plan?
Good to know about the bbt stuff. Do you use a good app for it? I've just been googling and not sure which is best. It would be good to know I've actually ovulated I guess. X

@flowerlover1990 so my friend who knows her stuff suggested Q10, vit D and also inofolic alpha (which has folic acid) which is good for pcos. I don't really get the usual pcos symptoms so was a surprise when I had a scan and the doc said I did 'a bit' ... lol but hopefully it helps do whatever its meant to do 🤷‍♀️.
Haha oh it's like a whole new world to me all this chat!! So much to learn 😬xx

flowerlover1990 · 15/02/2023 20:21

@Floralsandsmiles Oh wow quite an age gap but also really lovely too. A handy helper for a new born baby 😉 Wishjng you lots of luck, look forward to getting updates 👍🏻 Thanks for the list of your supplements too, I am ticking lots of those so good to know x

@Winniewobble I've heard about Q10 so might have to have a look into this as well. Thank you! I know, it really is a whole new world isn't it! That's good you don't have many symptoms of PCOS, it can be such a pain (literally lol). At least the GP has picked it up now and hopefully the supplements start to help too, as well as the SMEP 😉

@Winniewobble Haha I know, I don't know why I do it to myself!
I am waiting for my peak to DTD and then on the day of ovulation too. My plan is to track it as I'm using the stupid prediction and they are normally wrong, therefore will be missing the window each month!lol
I use the premom app, which links to the easy at home test kits too.. that seems good at the moment.. xxx

Thank you, please keep me updated on your progress too! Xxxx

Yeah I've heard a few people mention Q10, I have no idea what all this stuff does tbh lol just popping the pills and hoping for the best 😅
Yep glad it was picked up, just hope it isn't causing me problems that I'm not aware of, but yeah hopefully the supplements will help 😊. Haha and yes SMEPing 😉😉xx

@Floralsandsmiles sounds like a good plan 💪. When you say prediction, is that just the day your app suggests? I was kind of going by that last year but not really realising how much your ovulation day can vary 🤦‍♀️ so reckon I may have missed it a few times last year 🙄. Sounds good I'll have a look, thanks 👍xx

@Winniewobble yes that's right, it predicts the date based on previous periods and the length of cycle etc.. so yes I am now tracking properly as I have missed loads I think! 🤨 xxx

Well at least now we're both more aware and gonna track better and hopefully not miss any more 🤞😊 I messed up using the opks last cycle but on the ball this cycle...I think lol xx

@Winniewobble it's all a mind field isn't it! Now I'm worrying I don't ovulate and I didnt know this as never needed to before lol why do I do this to myself! Xxx

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 15/02/2023 21:42

Me! Cycle 2 ttc #1. Had lots of cramping and spotting since CD22, but got a clear BFN on an early detection at CD29 today so pretty sure I'm out! AF not arrived but have variation (usually 28-32 but can go a couple either side). Didn't help I got the flu! Not optomistic due to medical issues but fingers crossed the doctors are wrong 🤞

It really is! I've learnt more in the last week from reading chats on here etc than I ever have before 🙈! I'm also worried about not ovulating because I've not looked out for the symptoms before so can't say that I or don't usually🤷‍♀️. Lol I assume with your first pregnancy you didn't have to try too hard so didn't need to learn about this stuff? Xx

@Winniewobble my first pregnancy I was young and on the pill and it failed lol so this is a whole new world to me! Lol I learn so much from the ladies on these forums! I guess knowledge is power! Ha xxx

Yes absolutely, and we are now learning 💪👍😁, although I'm nearly 37, feel like I should have learnt this ages ago 🤦‍♀️lol xx

@Winniewobble o wow! I'm nearly 36! So we are similar in age and this is the one thing worrying me as time isn't on our side!! Xxx

Hey @FlyingHighFlyingLow Nice to have you here! We are also ttc 1st baby and fairly early on in the process too 😊. The month gone was our 1st cycle. Sorry to hear that you think you may be out too - but we have the opportunity to go again next month 💪🏻 I have PCOS so have a little hurdle in getting there but feeling hopeful. Is there anything different you might be trying this month to help? Look forward to hearing more x

Yep ages worries me too, but also have heard and know quite a lot of women older than us who have had success so that gives me hope 😊🙏

Haha oh great news you're finally off AF 💪, I think mine mostly gone today too (CdD 5)... although will prob come back to haunt me later 🤦‍♀️xx

BudgetBuster · 16/02/2023 12:29

AF is just out to get me this month. Still not arrived and still BFN.
I did use to have pretty standard 27-28 day cycles but after my last miscarriage my cycles have been 25-26 days. I wonder is this month just going back to my previous normal and hopefully that will bring more positive news in the future

Piglet34 · 16/02/2023 13:46

The supplements/vitamin possibilities really are such a minefield! I was on pregnacare conception for a month but I think they made me have random mid cycle bleeding so I'm now on seven seas trying for a baby which seem good so far! Also take pure fish oil and EPO but the latter only until ovulation.

I was temping but I think the anxiety of doing that and seeing a low temp when there shouldn't be etc was increasing my stress a lot which obviously isn't good when TTC so stopped that now. Am just using OPKs on Premom and also tracking cycle using fertility friend.

@BudgetBuster sorry to hear your still in that uncertain phase! What CD are you on now? I'm CD 30 and usually have a cycle of 27-32 days so in the same boat as you waiting! Although I haven't done any tests as we only DTD on 1/2 dpo so I'm just eager for AF to show so I can start a fresh month now!

I have endo (and likely adeno) which has caused a lot of issues in the maternal line. Not sure we'll do anything different, I'd like not to get unwell again though. We were away for 2 weeks and dtd most days just because we could 😂. Not tracked ovulation with tests etc. yet but may move to that in a couple months. Already been taking some folic acid tablets. How about you? Sending lots of magic baby dust!

BudgetBuster · 16/02/2023 14:23

@Piglet34 I spoke too soon, today is officially CD1 now 😂😂
