Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@madeofcodes I have been looking on the Calendar hundreds of times a day wishing the days away. I had my 2 peaks Friday and Saturday so not sure when is classed as ovulation

Mushroo · 01/02/2023 18:18

madeofcodes · 01/02/2023 17:51

@Peachyplumm any symptoms at all? Last night I had cramping and now I have a sharp twinge on my right side 🧐

I’m going to try and hold off until the 13th (which is just before I’m due but I’d normally have a bit of spotting).

Im 2dpo and have zero symptoms but already obsessing.

If anyone else gets a BFP before then though I’ll probably cave and test!

Peachyplumm · 01/02/2023 19:47

@madeofcodes had general cramps but last night I got sharp pains on my left side and today! That’s it and just very tired but unsure if that’s related ☺️

Summer022 · 01/02/2023 20:34

Hi all, just about to head into the tww as of tomorrow so just wondering if there’s anything I should be doing to try and aid implantation (if anything at all works or helps with that). Just want to give myself the best chance and feel like I need to be proactive about it! Or maybe I just need to try and relax and let it be what it’ll be 💖 it’s cycle #2 so I know it’s not been long at all, but I definitely over stress about it and need to try and chill a little bit.

LeopardLover · 01/02/2023 21:14

To those having cramps and sharp pains, this was me the month I fell pregnant with DS. I thought ut

LeopardLover · 01/02/2023 21:17

Oops... Hit post too soon there! I thought my cramps and pain were down to a painful period on its way but it was my little one 😊

@Summer022 I took Calc Fluor tissue salts the month I fell pregnant so I'll be doing that again to help with implantation. Probably just coincidence but they are harmless so why not! I bought the Schuessler brand but there are lots out there.

Peachyplumm · 01/02/2023 23:47

Oooh here’s hoping! Did you have any other symptoms? Especially from early on?

Peachyplumm · 01/02/2023 23:48

Woops forgot to tag you above @LeopardLover

Peachyplumm · 02/02/2023 04:46

Hi ladies 5dpo and I experienced something really weird. I had like ‘cold’ type chills but no high temp or anything else visibly wrong with me. Then all night I’d go from hot to cold, like hot flushes and sweating then later on feel like I’ve got chills.

I’ve never experienced that before, could it just be hormone fluctuations? My body is really sensitive to a cold so I’ll usually feel everything not just this on it’s own. Was also super tired all day yesterday even though I did nothing.

Mummyme87 · 02/02/2023 06:13

@Summer022 keep your feet warm in TWW. Warm feet warm uterus apparently

Wonkyjelly · 02/02/2023 07:03

Morning! OPK’s from the last few days. I tested once a day up until yesterday day 3rd strip, last night where I go the 4th strip, and this morning which is the 5th strip and have 2 dark lines both at 10pm last night and 6:30am this morning. Would you say this is the indicator that my ovulation is happening within 24-36 hours? Thank you! X

Summer022 · 02/02/2023 09:11

@LeopardLover oh wow I didn’t even know about Calc Fluor tissue salts! I’ll give that a try as it can’t hurt!

@Mummyme87 I’ll be doubling up on the fluffy socks to keep my feet warm. I have also bought some pomegranate juice as heard that can help with implantation but who knows - it’s fruit juice so can’t do any harm!

@Wonkyjelly Looks like you are having your LH surge which would indicate ovulation soon - I think it’s 12-36 hours but I may be wrong. Good luck and sending lots of baby dust your way 💖

SMG1992 · 02/02/2023 09:56

@LeopardLover I've never heard of the calc fluor salts but have just read a few studies about them so have ordered some, I want to throw everything at this so hopefully they'll help a little bit.
If not they may make my skin and nails nicer.

Does anyone else have any supplements/superfoods they'd suggest?
I'm currently taking:
Pregnacare - conception (as is DH, mens version)
Vitamin D spray (as is DH)
Both taking turmeric (always have for reduced inflammation)

Spirulina with vit C & zinc shot
Maca powder in smoothies
Chia seeds in smoothies
Daily yakult for probiotics
Soon to add calc fluor to my supplement routine!

And am eating full fat yogurt, moved back to drinking dairy milk, eating lots of green veg, sweet potatoes, walnuts & brazil nuts, pomegranate and grapefruits.

I'm hoping I've covered a lot of the dietary side but am always open to suggestions if anyone has any?

CRbear · 02/02/2023 10:21

@Wonkyjelly looking good! I’d act like it’s peak but I’d keep testing until it drops off. It can go higher than you have there and you wouldn’t want to slack off the DTD too soon!

I’ve had a positive this morning on CD14. I’ve never ovulated earlier than day 21 (PCOS) so it seems hard to believe. I don’t dare hope I’m getting a shorter cycle - would be amazing. Also got EWCM so better assume it’s real just in case. My husband can’t believe his luck. We’ve been DTD every other day - might do today as well which would hopefully mean we DTD o-0, o-1, o-2 and o-4. Really hope it’s not a false surge as it Would be handy as I’m away a couple or nights next week and was worried we’d miss it!

CRbear · 02/02/2023 10:25

@SMG1992 - you’ve got a lot of bases covered there supplements wise! Only other thing I take is inositol which is a pcos specific supplement so may not be or use to you. Oh and does your pre conception vitamin have the omega 3 capsule? If not I’d add that in too.

Mummyme87 · 02/02/2023 14:30

@SMG1992 i take omega 3 and CoQ10 400mg. Used to take b complex aswell.

LongDistanceLife · 02/02/2023 14:31

Mummymidwife33 · 01/02/2023 11:16

@Mummyme87 hello fellow midwife! 🤞 we get our #3 baby BFPs soon!

I’m also a midwife and TTC #3!

Freya8 · 02/02/2023 14:47

Hey ladies can i jump on this also! Im 37 and ttc baby #2 hopefully this year. My dd is now 6. We were pretty lucky that time round and fell pregnant after coming off the pill immediately. However this time round im filled with worry due to my age and just how much more i know in general now being older! Planning to come off pill again middle feb and already been taking all the vits! Heres hoping we all get our bfps this year xx

Improbablecat · 02/02/2023 14:58

Hi everyone, hope it's OK to join!

I'm 35, TTC no2. My daughter is 4.5 and i came off the POP around christmas. Last time round I got pregnant immediately and had been using Natural Cycles for 6 months or so for contraception. Flicked to TTC mode and it worked that month! Bit worried it won't be as easy this time given my age and I've got weight to lose. Plus we both work shifts.

Any tips on new apps to track my Cycles etc would be great, I had my first period since 2018 last month and it was a terrible shock 😆

SMG1992 · 02/02/2023 15:16

@CRbear @Mummyme87 I've ordered some omega 3s to add to my routine, I was relying on walnuts and chia seeds but I don't think I'd be getting enough so happy to top this up with a supplement
I've never heard of CoQ10 400mg I'll do some research

Hopefulhoney6 · 02/02/2023 15:37

@SMG1992 - yeah in Impatient Womens Guide to getting Pregnant she recommends Omega 3 (for you and your partner)

I also take COQ10 (as does DH). recommended for egg quality during IVF so think it could help here too

Hopingforno2in2023 · 02/02/2023 16:20

Waiting for the clinic we have chosen to call me back to arrange tests and first appointment. Am so impatient and want to chase them but don’t want to be nightmare patient!

LeopardLover · 02/02/2023 19:33

I'm loving all the vitamin chat! I didn't even consider Pregnacare conception didn't contain omega 3 so I'm planning to add that in. I take CoQ10 but only 100mg (ubiquinol) as I don't have any known fertility issues. @SMG1992 Mine is Nature's Best - make sure it's ubiquinol as it's more easily absorbed. Although it takes something like 6 months to kick in 😅

I might consider adding more dairy into my diet. I need to remember to eat lots of leafy greens! It's kind of crazy we can influence egg health 3-4 months out. This is my main focus at the moment.

@Freya8 I'm also 37! Although I'm not concerned at the moment. 😊 Planning to give myself at least a year to conceive (but will probably get impatient after 4-5 months).

@Hopingforno2in2023 Sooo exciting! I'd feel impatient too. Hopefully tomorrow before the weekend!

LeopardLover · 02/02/2023 19:37

@Peachyplumm No other symptoms other than the cramps and shooting pains! I had imagined other symptoms the few months prior. I didn't really feel pregnant until I had an early scan! Not sure I'll get off so lightly this time round. Fingers crossed for you!

TrudyProud · 02/02/2023 21:23

Hi all, no real update from me. Our house reno is nearly complete so still on track for a spring time TTC. Will be buying ovulation sticks for Feb AF so I can be sure I definitely am ovulating when I think I am then starting TTC in March/April when DD is 1yo (had a c-section).

So excited by all the BFPs! Can't wait to get back on the pregnancy train
