Thread no 2 as thread 1 was so close to getting full!

As a reminder this is a positive support thread for anyone preparing and planning to start TTC in 2023 💖

If you join start by introducing yourself with your age. what no. you're trying for and when you plan on starting plus any goals you might have before then! for example:

@DanisEndo
Age 27
TTC No.1
Starting Sep 23
I want to:

  • loose some weight (would like to get down to a healthy BMI by exercising and doing all home cooking, nothing to major or restrictive)
  • do some decorating around the house
  • get married (1st September woooo!)
  • change job / company
I have endometriosis and PCOS, 2 surgeries down and hoping I'll still be all clear by the time we get to trying.

Theres a long list of us now so bare with me updating it as we go 😅

Good luck everyone!!!

@Minnierose11 thank you! so I’m CD25 today and ovulated CD17, I didn’t track BBT this cycle but will for next cycle! I’m pretty sure I did ovulate then because I had some strange/very unusual pains like a stitch pain, but without having confirmed by BBT I suppose it’s possible I didn’t ovulate so maybe it is trying again!

My period being near could be right, my app says I should be due Wednesday next week so possibly that! Someone else mentioned possibly pregnancy but like you say surely it would be far too soon for that given even an actual pregnancy test wouldn’t be picking it up yet?

I’ve got some tests coming today and if my period doesn’t come I’ll test next week to see! X

Hopingforno2in2023 · 10/08/2023 20:10

Have had to cancel my IVF cycle today as I have COVID :(

CRbear · 11/08/2023 08:21

@Mrsttcno1 - second everything @Minnierose11 said. So annoying when all you can do is wait and see. Everything crossed for you!

@Hopingforno2in2023 oh no- that’s awful!! How did you find out- do they test you before each step? I suppose they want you in peak physical health. But they can’t leave all those eggs to just what disappear in you?! Is this at your cost too? I’m so sorry. You must be devastated!

Hopingforno2in2023 · 11/08/2023 09:09

I developed cold symptoms so they asked me to test CRbear :( This morning I can feel my ovaries responding to the lack of medication and it is devastating to think of those 8 eggs wasted. If I pay for the scans I had then I won’t lose one of the two cycles I have prepaid for. With the extra medication it should come to less than £500 I think. Have to have a withdrawl bleed and then a normal period and then I can start the testosterone again. I think it will be October before I get to this stage again :(

CRbear · 11/08/2023 20:42

I’m really sorry @Hopingforno2in2023 thats so shit

Mrsttcno1 · 11/08/2023 20:50

An update from me today, so I must have got mixed up with my dates and ovulated sooner than I thought because after having to run to the toilets on the train to be sick this afternoon (literally never felt sickness like it), I went and bought a pregnancy test and …. Obviously very early days but for now I’m excited and hopeful for a sticky baby 🤍

DP had me do the 2nd test before he would believe it🤣

Many congratulations mrs!

Minnierose11 · 12/08/2023 14:28

@Mrsttcno1 oh wow!! Congratulations! That's amazing news!
Yes! Must have ovulated sooner as 8-9dpo to get a positive on a digital would be too soon! But all the same, amazing news!!
Was this your first month trying?? I can't remember sorry! Fingers crossed for you.

Mrsttcno1 · 12/08/2023 16:46

@Minnierose11 thank you! Yeah our first month of properly trying! I can’t quite believe it I’ve done 4 tests now but it still just doesn’t feel real! Obviously still very early days so I’m a bit worried but for now I’m going to stay positive! Xxx

Minnierose11 · 12/08/2023 17:12

@Mrsttcno1 that's amazing news! And absolutely, enjoy it, try not to stress! There's no reasons to think anything otherwise, try not to work yourself up about the what ifs and just be present in the now! Very exciting times ahead!

Anyone still trying from this thread?

Unfortunately I miscarried at 9+4 so I’m back on this board. Not sure I’m ready yet but can’t really wait when it took us so long to get pregnant.

Next steps for me - await period coming back, get back on my conception vitamin regime, focus on healthy food and exercise.

SnookyPook · 18/09/2023 09:56

@CRbear so sorry to hear that my love. I can't remember when I first joined this thread but unfortunately I had a MMC in April (found out at scan that baby had stopped developing a month earlier) and then I have literally just had a chemical pregnancy this last cycle. So I am back to square 1 also and have my original due date looming rapidly at the end of next month and feeling a bit raw about it all. Sending you a big hug. Has your loss only just happened? I know that feeling of time being against you. I hope you manage to find time to process your loss and grief too 💕

Sorry for your loss
I'm still trying but I only got my genetic results back in July to clear us to go ahead and get TTC again. It's a scary journey at times but we all have eachother right here for support

WolfMother326 · 18/09/2023 14:41

@CRbear I'm sorry for your loss. I'm currently going through one too. I am still in the middle of it but hoping go try again this autumn.

Hopingforno2in2023 · 18/09/2023 15:36

I’m so sorry for your losses @CRbear and @WolfMother326.

I am days away from starting medication again for IVF. So nothing much been happening here.

TrudyProud · 18/09/2023 18:01

Sorry for your loss @CRbear .
Didn't want to read and run.

DanisEndo · 19/09/2023 08:54

@CRbear still trying ♥️

Wow! There’s lots of us still lurking about. Thanks for all your kind messages.

@SnookyPook , @worldwidetravel2017, @WolfMother326 - sorry to hear about your losses too. Just shows how awfully common it is. Just feels like such a shock and like it’s so unheard of when it happens to you! I have found a lot of support on threads on here which has been really helpful. But ultimately I think I just need time.

@ANiceBigCupOfTea great that you got your results back and you’re cleared. Such a tiresomely long process isn’t it. Every extra step just eats time.

@Hopingforno2in2023 sounds like it’s nearly go time! Am I right in thinking it all happens quite fast once you start meds? Best wishes for a fruitful round!

@DanisEndo thinking of you.

I think I may have finally stopped bleeding which feels like a milestone. Now more waiting- this time for my body to ovulate. I’m trying to be optimistic that maybe my ovaries won’t be so polycystic after a pregnancy- I’ll ask them to check Friday when they check if the pregnancy is all gone.

BatildaB · 23/09/2023 11:45

So sorry to hear of your losses @CRbear @SnookyPook @WolfMother326 @worldwidetravel2017

@Hopingforno2in2023 hope things go more smoothly this round, how frustrating to have had to cancel before.

I’m also still here, trying to not check the conception boards too often. We have been a bit patchy in maximising the chances each cycle, a family bereavement and various financial worries put a bit of a damper on things. Now more fully committed to the process so hoping things happen with the more careful timing. Up until now have not been too disappointed, but now that I would get maternity pay (and another birthday has gone by) I’m impatient!

Really hoping someone can give some reassurance here.

I miscarried in September, confirmed I had a negative test and was discharged and I found out I was pregnant again on Saturday last week very faint positive test. Booked in for an early scan on 4th November as they don’t know how many weeks I am as they can’t count my miscarriage bleed as a period. Today I had cramps and light spotting so was told to come in for a blood test, hcg level is 61. I know clearblue pick up low traces of hcg so I could have just been at that level last week but has anyone had a similar situation and success story?

thank you 🙏🏼

worldwidetravel2017 · 19/10/2023 19:26

Unfortunately not - for me that kinda number was early miscarriage

Its meant to double hcg over 48 hrs or 3 days

cats1990 · 19/10/2023 19:32

@worldwidetravel2017 how many weeks were you and between when and that result had you first had a positive test? Was that your first blood test?
