Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

I ovulated around 31 jan -2nd Feb .

So if I waited for 21 days after I'm assuming I test around Tuesday Wednesday. Been using dip test as have ordered larger batch.

Been have nausea . Headace and slight cramps and light headed tried cb but I know they don't detect till hcg is higher scale .

Driving me crazy kinda glad had no test indoors so I don't keep testing.

That's what I thought with so many positve result all in time frame aswell .

@FR49 @Piglet34 AF has just started so I guess CD1 of cycle 2! I used to be regular 28 days on the dot until I had a mirena, never gone back properly since I had it out 2 years ago (condoms only since). Now it can be 25-34 days, but usually is around day 30. Best of luck to us all this cycle!

I’m around 12 DPO and have incredibly sensitive/painful nipples which I’ve never had! Realllyyyy fighting the urge to test, done a lot better with not early testing this cycle 😅

Ok after my last post I caved and tested, all I had was a clear blue ultra early digital, got a BFN. Feel absolutely gutted as I was pretty sure it was going to be a BFP with how painful my nipples have been. Hopefully I’m just too early ☹️

@kalixxx ow so sorry to hear about the BFN ☹️ but your right 12 dpo is still so early and the digital tests especially are less sensitive I think. So annoying when our bodies play tricks on us but definitely test again in a day or two. When would your AF be due usually ? X

@FlyingHighFlyingLow ooh we are only a few days apart for the next cycle then, I am CD4 today so we can keep each other company :) I'm the same, periods were regular and now usually between 27-32 days with ovulation on CD17. I am doing SMEP this month though so not that long until that starts on CD8 x

@mum2liam1 hmm yeah if you ovulated on those dates then you would expect there to be a clear positive by now usually but if you have missed a period then that is very confusing especially along with the faint positive tests. Hope you get the answers you need on Thursday x

@Piglet34 I’m hoping I was just too early, feel a bit deflated today! My cycles can range from 29-33 days so I am hopefully too early, I just thought with symptoms I’ve never had before I was sure to get a BFP 😅

@kalixxx I've got everything crossed for you that it was just too early! It's the worst when you just have a feeling it's going to be positive and then that blank test appears ☹️ hopefully your AF stays away and you get a BFP in the next few days xx

SMEP is sperm meets egg plan so you DTD every other day from CD8, then three days in a row from when you get the LH peak on OPKs. Because I ovulate late-ish I worked out it will be about 8 times in 12 days! 🙈 will see how it goes aha x

@Piglet34 had some slightly pink discharge yesterday but no AF today, not sure how to feel now! 😩

Ahh I see! Sounds like a pretty solid (and tiring😂) method! I’ll be testing that out for next cycle if AF shows! X

@kalixxx is pink discharge normal for you before period? If not then doesn't necessarily mean AF is about to show! Fingers crossed it doesn't 🤞🏻 are you going to test again or just wait another few days and see what happens? X

@Piglet34 it’s not no! It was only ever so slightly pink and none today, but don’t want to get my hopes up! I’m going to try and wait to test again until the weekend, wish me luck 😅😂 x

@Piglet34 I caved already 😭 BFN again this morning and discharge is slightly brown so I think I’m definitely most likely out this month ☹️ x

Can I sneak in here please? Have no idea what all the abbreviations mean but DP and I have been 'not trying not too' since September with no luck 😒 I'm older so I lm worried I've missed the boat!

@AccidentallyRunToWindsor of course! It took me a while to learn all the abbreviations, I think there’s still ones I don’t know! Like OPK, I know it has to do with ovulation tests but not sure what it actually stands for 😂

Oh I feel your pain, this is only my 2nd cycle trying but it’s getting me down! AF (aunt flow/period) came today so that’s this cycle out! Have you tried anything new each cycle? X

@kalixxx I'm so sorry to hear that AF reared her ugly head ☹️ so disheartening, but we have to try to remember we are both still so early in this crazy TTC journey (although a lot easier said than done I know!!) Here's hoping this new cycle will be a lucky one for both of us xx

I'm CD13 today and just got my first positive OPK this morn, so lots of DTD the next few days! Anyone else in their fertile window now?

@Piglet34 yey! Mine appears to be going down 🤦‍♀️

@FlyingHighFlyingLow hmm that's strange, although I think completely normal as I also had the same on another cycle. I've attached a picture and you can see it goes right down before then peaking :) also you are still quite early on cycle days, what day do you usually ovulate ?

@Piglet34 thats reassuring, thank you! Never tracked before to know for sure but I have an irregular cycle post-mirena (came out Jan 2021 and never went back to normal). It went through a period of alternating between 28 and 32 days at one point, usually somewhere between the two but have had the odd 25/26 or 35 day cycle so who knows!

I hope you don’t mind me posting, I’ve just joined the forum.
March is the first month I’m going to proper TTC with ovulation tests & BBT etc.
last month I was trying to figure out when I ovulated to help with March and I was following an app that determined I was to ovulate on a certain day but when I had done my ovulation dip test it was negative.
my cycle length is around 26 - 30 days. So honestly I’m unsure when to track ovulation.
would the day after my period and continue for like 2 weeks be too obsessive? I feel clueless and would welcome any advice whatsoever.

my next period is due in 4 days and usually lasts 4/5 days.

(also must state I do suffer with endometriosis, I’ve had two surgeries, last one being around 9 years ago but in the last few months have had the odd flare up)

sorry for bombarding with information, just someone who wants what all of us do! 💜

@FlyingHighFlyingLow I'm the same! Seem to alternate between 28 and 32 days and then will ovulate on a different day depending on the cycle length as my luteal phase is mostly 14 days long.

@Nmmck93 of course! Welcome to the thread :) I would suggest starting on CD8 maybe and then continuing until you see the peak go down :) will you be using Premom to track? I actually started from CD8 this month too. Good luck with this cycle! X

Thank you so much! i have the Premom app downloaded also, have the FLO app and also another. I think I need to chose one app to stick to it just. Premom seems better as I can uploaded my ovulation tests to it.

@Nmmck93 I use two apps as I don't really like Premom for general cycle tracking, so I use that literally just to scan the ovulation tests. I then use fertility friend for my main tracking but don't do BBT as it stressed me out too much 😅 this is my first cycle trying and it's ovulation day for me so we'll see how this TWW goes!

@Piglet34 thank you, I might try that Fertility Friend app and use pre mom to upload my tests. I would try anything. Last month we done the ‘baby dance’ as I call it outside of ovulation (we thought it was ovulation day but tests should negatives) but sure we all have to have fun but this month I’m being more cautious with testing more. I think BBT will stress me out also but I’ll try it and see! oooh good luck with this TWW and hope all works out for you x
