Hey everyone!

Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

@kalixxx super hard! Also, My mum who I'm incredibly close to has circumstances which mean she'll have to move away within the next 18-24 months so really want to get pregnant and have baby before she does!
Cannot imagine doing it without her here....
my friend swore by ovulation testing.... and she recommended the pre-mom and easy@home test, and she's had two. First, she wasn't tracking and it took them almost a year, second time she tracked and fell within a couple of months, in-fact earlier than she'd anticipated and ended up being pregnant at my wedding.
I have signed up for the premium features as i don't think it's nessasary and she didn't ether!

Aww, that's brilliant that you feel so positive! Great to put those affirmations out into the universe!

Can I ask what DPO means?
Also, after your ovulated and done the deed at the correct time, do you always test for pregnancy after? How long after if so? I always assumed just wait to see if my period comes or not xxx

@kalixxx not too much differently for me this month. I was a bit more go with the flow and DTD less probably. Feel a bit less stressed about it this month. Not sure why. I also swapped to easy at home tests and pre mom app. What about you?

@Minnierose11 ahh I would hate to do this without my mum, when I eventually do fall pregnant 😅 you’ve got plenty of time though! I think if this isn’t cycle then I’ll try the easy@home ones, the clear blue digital doesn’t work for 2 days when you get your peak which is a bit annoying.

That’s what I’m trying to do, speak a baby into existence 😂

DPO is days past ovulation, they should really make a dictionary for all these terms! Try not to get into a habit of early testing as peeing on a stick becomes addictive I swear! Some people manage to get a positive 4/5 days before their period, but it can be disappointing if it’s negative so I’d try and wait! I’ve been early testing from the beginning but I really want to wait till my period this time!

@Bluebell0921 I’ve not done anything different really, tried to force myself to be positive and keep challenging thoughts that it won’t happen. It’s hard not to get bogged down with it all and get stressed isn’t it 🥲 I thought this would be easy!

@kalixxx I feel the same. I really thought it would’ve happened by now and no one in my life has ever really spoken about TTC so I feel like it’s definitely been a bit of a shock. When having a down day it’s hard not to go into a negative spiral. I’m the same. It’s such an emotional rollercoaster xx

@Bluebell0921 it most definitely is an emotional rollercoaster, I can see why people take a break from it after so many cycles! Fingers crossed the wait is almost over for us!

Ovulation day today;
LH started to drop last night, BD the last 4 days; we're gunna attempt another BD tomorrow & that should be me well covered. Fingers crossed I actually release a good strong egg & it impacts itself because we gave it one hell of a go. 🙈

@kalixxx best thing about being on holidays, can rest as much as needed to by the pool or have a siesta. But I don't feel hopeful, I usually get the ovulation twinge to say I'm ovulating and have had nothing so far. I'm crossing my fingers that I have ovulated or still ovulate in the next 8 hours or that I just didn't feel it this month 🙈
One more BD and then we are literally just not even going to look at each other 😂 it's been busy to say the least lol.

How're you? I've promised myself that I won't do early testing this month and just wait to as long as I can. But what I say and what I do may be two different things lol

@Nmmck93 I only sometimes get an ovulation twinge so try not to worry I think that’s normal! Out of interest what does yours feel like I’m because I’ve only really thought about it since TTC so not even sure if it’s ovulation but it’s always around the time. Mines like a couple of seconds sharp stabs on one side.

I promised myself I wouldn’t either but did one this morning which was a BFN, I literally pee’d on it knowing it was a complete waste of time as I’m only 8 DPO and it wasn’t even a sensitive one. Feel like it scratched an itch peeing on a stick anyway 😭😂

@kalixxx yeah mines is similar, it's like a pulsating stabbing pain but I get it on and off throughout the day.

Aww I've told myself if I want to pee on a stick early I'm going to have to do an ovulation stick lol. 🙈

I’m not even sure you’ll be able to see the line on the picture but in person it’s definitely there but I’m 99% sure it’s an indent which just seems so unfair ☹️

You’re half way through the TWW! Are you an early tester or do you have self control? 🤣

@kalixxx i can deffs see something on that test. Hoping it’s not an indent for you! Are you going to test daily not to see or wit another few days?
im 2dpo but I think I’m more 1 DPO due to feeling the twinges mildly yesterday in the afternoon into the evening! 🙈

@Nmmck93 I’ve had an indent before but I don’t remember the camera picking it up, it was a proper squinter! I’d love to say I could wait but I’ll be testing again tomorrow morning! Tried to get another box of FRER so I have one from a different batch but can’t find them in stores anywhere!

How much longer of your holiday have you got left?

@kalixxx is there colour to it? Maybe try boots own early tests? I know FRER don't seem to be in stores for the last few months I've had to order mine off eBay etc. clear blue also do a digital 6 days early.
Have you taken an ovulation test strip? I've seen some people say they've taken ovulation tests on their TWW to see if they are strong.
Keep updated with anymore tests you do lol.

I have another 4 days, I don't arrive back home though until early hours of Thursday morning but I really really want to try home off as long as I can testing.

We DTD this morning again to cover us just incase we have it a good shot so I'm literally hoping this is our month. 🙈

@kalixxx i have terrible eyesight so can’t help with line eyes 😂 but you are still very early days so a very light line or no line at all doesn’t mean your not pregnant.

I go through peaks and troughs with early testing. After seeing how many ladies on here seem to have chemicals I’ve really tried to not early test coz I feel like it’s such heartache and I’d rather not know. I tend to test early if I have an event where I’d like an alcoholic drink and it would be better to know. I’m going on a trip with my two besties next Sunday where we’ll likely have a few drinks so if AF doesn’t arrive on Saturday morning when she’s due I’ll probably do a FRER. Saying that, I’ll probably cave mid week but that’s my plan 😂

Taken another test this morning with FMU and the line was a little stronger, still can’t tell if has any colour so inclined to think indent. Got another FRER and did with SMU and there’s vvvvvfl, the kind you’re not even sure is there 🥲 Even though I knew they most likely indents I’m still completely gutted that there wasn’t the same line ☹️

@Bluebell0921 this just goes to show why early testing is not a good idea! I was the same though I had a party last night so wanted to know!

@kalixxx don't be disheartened, I could see a line on the one yesterday and don't forget it takes 48 hours for HGC to rise, keeping everything crossed for tomorrow 🤞💕

@kalixxx honestly it’s so hard to know what to do for the best isn’t it. I’m very envious of people who just accidentally get pregnant and have none of the testing/tracking pressure. You’re still very early days though, you’re not out till AF xx

Guys I’m shaking but I think I just got my BFP 😭

I’m 10/11 dpo and did these with a 3 hour hold

@Bluebell0921 I know me too! What I hate the most is after AF arrives thinking wow I’ve gotta do all this again and it’s going to be another 4 weeks until a potential BFP. It really is a waiting game and I am not very impatient 😅

@kalixxx I’m the same. I remember one month we had sex everyday during my fertile window and when AF arrived I was like “I’m never doing that again” I was bloody exhausted 😂 it’s hard to be in the moment isn’t it. I find myself constantly looking ahead. Especially when I’m trying to make plans like holidays etc and wondering if I’ll be pregnant.

Oooh I just got a smiley face on my clear blue ovulation test...we DTD last night, wonder if that's enough or I should get busy tonight as well
