Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

ive already asked in general health but I have been down a rabbit hole in google and some people have said they had this in pregnancy - now I’m only around 3dpo.

last night I was so badly constipated; I squeezed so hard to dry go but only got little droppings, then at 4am I was having cold sweats, nausea, faint and severe stomach pains and bout of diarrhoea- this morning at 9am I have diarrhoea and blood 2/3 times. A lot of people have said it could be a stomach bug, others are telling me to go straight to hospital; anyone ever had anything like this?

Today is AF due date, around 13 dpo I think and just had some pink discharge when I went to the loo, so I think that’s me out for this month 😔

Was starting to feel a bit hopeful past 2 days because I’d been having some cramping which I never do before my period. Oh well, we go again!

@Nmmck93 weirdly I’ve been having cold sweats and nausea all day today too! Serve stomach pain doesn’t sound good though, have you tried calling 111 for advice? Hope you feel better!!

@Tempeliz ahh hopefully the pink discharge doesn’t progress into AF, keeping everything crossed for you!

@BexTTC only a BFN here this afternoon, hoping I’m still too early and hadn’t held urine long enough, not feeling too hopeful though! ☹️

@kalixxx I'm trying to hold out to see if it passes tonight; my cousin is a nurse and said it sounds like bad constipation and something tore like tissue. So just hoping she's right.
Having a lot of period like cramps but only 3DPO.

@kalixxx pretty sure AF is on her way and I did a FRER tonight because I’d just had pink spotting instead of normal red blood when AF starts and it was negative. So that’s me out for this month.

Trying to relax because I know it takes time but we have quite a small window to conceive due to my employment set up (just a few months really) so it’s hard not to stress. I was pretty sure we timed dtd well this month.

Hello all! Just been reading all your comments and would like to join in. I’m cycle 5 of TTC #1. Currently in the dreaded TWW. 8 DPO. Ovulated late this month so expecting AF to be late anyway. I go through real ups and downs with it all. My best friend got pregnant by accident last year after 1 time having unprotected sex and my sister has easily got pregnant. None of my other friends have children or are close to trying so I can feel a bit isolated sometimes. I know up to a year is completely normal but it feels so long when the only people you know have fallen so easily.

Welcome @Bluebell0921 :) I'm currently in fertility week of cycle 6 ttc, have been monitoring for 3 cycles with opks and this is second one with bbt. Feel you sister :) lonely, heartbreaking when you realise AF is on the way. I'm 28, hubby 35,we are healthy, in healthy BMI, regular periods, never used any birth control pills or coils for protection. I always thought it would happen right away, but also when it didn't the first cycle I started to panic inside my head and binge watched infertility journeys on YouTube 🙈
What age are you, how do you track your cycles?

@Bluebell0921 Hey, welcome to the thread! I’m in the same boat with people falling pregnant by accident or really easily around me, it’s nice to come on here and realise I doesn’t always happen straight away and that’s normal! I’m 12 DPO today on cycle 4 although had a BFN yesterday, waiting for my FRER to turn up today!

@dormicumema I always thought it would just happening straight away as well! 🥲

@Tempeliz ahh I’m sorry to hear AF seems to be making an appearance! I’m sure we timed it perfectly this month and last month which makes it a bit disheartening doesn’t it!

I was rushed to hospital at 5am this morning and still waiting for be seen. I’ll be a little MIA on this thread but I’ve notifications on through the app so I can keep up to date with you all during your TWW!
because there’s something going on in my abdomen I don’t see this month being my month but just not going to loose hope just yet until AF shows up!

@dormicumema i feel exactly like you. I’ve convinced myself that I’m infertile. I tried chatting to my sister about it and she was so lovely and reassuring but you just know they don’t get it because they’ve not been through it. I’m 32 in a few weeks, so is my husband. I also naively thought I’d get pregnant first time. It’s so weird having spent all my adult life trying not to get pregnant and then realising it’s not actually that easy. I felt like I was going back to GCSE biology learning all about my cycle again 😂 I’ve been using OPK on and off since Sept last year. Had a break Nov/Dec/Jan and then restarted since Feb. I tried starting BBT this month but I’m not sure I’m doing it right. I have had temp rise after suspected ovulation but it’s “Rocky Mountains” shape and my app tells me that’s wrong 😂 so I’m not sure how accurate it is. I have kept an eye on CM here and there but to be honest I forget to check and it seems to fluctuate. I find when I get a pos OPK I usually then notice EWCM. I just feel like it’s so much to think about and I find myself feeling a bit overwhelmed.

@kalixxx so sorry to hear about your BFN. It’s so disheartening isn’t it. It’s good to connect though, definitely makes me feel less alone. I’m going to try and hold out and avoid testing until I’m late which would be 1st May.

@Bluebell0921 I always say I’m going to hold out until I’m late and then never manage it, you have more will power than me 😅 I also find it funny that I was trying to prevent getting pregnant for so long only to now be doing anything and everything to try and make it happen! 😂

13 DPO today and another BFN that’s definitely me out this cycle ☹️

@Bluebell0921 I was prepared for it after my BFN the other day, but like you said doesn’t make it any easier ☹️ If someone could just tell me it definitely is going to happen I’d feel a lot better, it’s the overthinking like what if it never happens that gets me 😅

@kalixxx ow I'm so sorry to hear about your bfn 😔 its so true about what you say, if we all knew it was defs guna happen even if it was a year away I'd be a lot happier than this uncertainty. Sending hugs to you, this process is the worst which is ironic as I thought it was going to be so fun! Ha xxx

@kalixxx totally feel the same. I’m not desperate to be pregnant this second but it’s the not knowing @Piglet34 is so right. It’s the uncertainty which makes you assume worst case scenario. Be gentle with yourself, it’s ok to feel disappointed.

@kalixxx yes let's hope it's a lucky number! My appointment was okay, basically they definitely just think it's my cervical ectropion causing the spotting so they treated it with silver nitrate. Will be interesting to see if my spotting comes back on 6dpo this cycle! I personally just can't shake the feeling it's something else as just very strange how clockwork the spotting is if it was the cervical ectropion along with other symptoms. My GP bloods came back normal but I decided to pay for a transvaginal ultrasound which is next week just to put my mind at ease about the spotting (although if it is endo I don't think it will show anyway :/) the scan also includes an AMH test and DH sperm analysis which will be interesting to find out anyway :) xx

@Bluebell0921 energy definitely needed for this week 😂 we couldn't SMEP this month as my silver nitrate treatment needed to heal but starting every other day now and will do more when I get my peak! Also using the fertilily this month which seemed to do its job well when testing yesterday in terms of keeping everything there ahah xx

@Piglet34 ahh ok! Yes will be interesting to see if you’re still getting the same spotting! Will be good for you to fully get it looked into and the sperm analysis for peace of mind! We’re considering paying for a private sperm analysis this month. I know in reality it hasn’t been long at all TTC but I’m eager to start ruling potential problems out so I can hopefully stop over thinking 😅

Thank you so much for your well wishes.
I had a really bad infection that attacked bascially my entire abdomen so have been on an IV antibiotic and fluids & getting released this evening.
Doctor has told me that not to get my hopes up with getting a positive this month as the infection was so bad! But I'm not one to give up hope yet as I'm 5DPO!

The only thing about next month is my whole fertile week is when I'm away on holidays so we'll have plenty of DTD as neither of us will be working and just being by a pool and in the room etc so if this month isn't mine we're going to give it the best shot next month!
