Hey everyone!

Is anyone else trying TTC #1?

I think I’m 9DPO although my cycles vary from 28-34 days so I’m really not sure. This is my first cycle TTC so I haven’t tracked ovulation.

I took a clear blue ultra early digital test this morning and BFN, I’ve heard digitals aren’t as accurate, is that true? (The way the test was laid and how I was sat meant the ‘not’ was in the shadow so for a second I thought it just said pregnant, was gutted!)

Any advice on not driving yourself mad during the TWW? 😂

@Kaspery8 theres definitely a line there, I hear these tests are pretty reliable as well! Massive congratulations!! So nice to see a BFP on here ☺️

I'm on CD6 - I'm going to start OPK'ing from tomorrow.
I'm finding that the ovulation testing is consuming me more than anything else because I don't want to miss my peak.
OH is due to work nightshift on my predicted day of Ovulation. I'll be working to 5pm and he'll be working from 7pm - obviously by the time I get home and stuff there won't be time to DTD which is stressing me.
So I'm hoping if we do it the night before predicted Ovulation and the night after predicted ovulation I should have a chance maybe? I don't know! It's all so confusing.
Part of me wants to take that day off work so I can make the most of my fertile window.
Anyone any advice on what to do? 🙈

My TWW was so less stressful and didn't feel the need to test until closer to the end of it 😂

@Nmmck93 I think the days before ovulation are better than day of anyway :) so try not to worry about it! Easier said than done I know. Also you never know what day your O will actually be unless your very regular?

Also maybe you will have time for a quick DTD between your work? This cycle me and DH were away with friends over O so we had to do it in a toilet used preseed and it took less than 5 mins 😅😅 but yes otherwise the days around are 100% just as good x

@Nmmck93 dont stress too much! It can live inside you for up to 5 days so the run up to ovulation is definitely just as important as the day!

I’ve managed to not get too stressed out with OPKs, I’ve not even started temping yet because I feel like I could get obsessed with monitoring that 😅

@Piglet34 glad to hear you still managed to fit it in! 😂 how many DPO are you today?

I got my static smiley yesterday and we managed to DTD Saturday, Sunday and yesterday. We’ll also try again later for good measure 😂

@Piglet34 im regular and usually ovulate around CD18 - I’m just starting OPKs from tomorrow and just see.
I checked my schedule and I’m actually on until 6 that day and he starts at 7 and takes me 45 minutes to get home, so I put on for the day off work & was accepted straight away. I don’t want to take no chances lol!

@kalixxx i bought a thermometer online and stuff to try temp last month but i completely forgot, the minute I open my eyes my bladder usually makes me run to the bathroom and I wouldn’t have 2 minutes to lay temping 😂 I might try my hardest to do that this month just out of curiosity. But I wouldn’t need to read up what the temp rises and drops mean. Lol

Did a test today at 12dpo and BFN so think I'm most likely out this month 🙄 at least I have my referral appointment on Monday with gynaecologist hopefully get some answers about this spotting!

@Nmmck93 I love your commitment to the process with taking the day off! 😂 yeah I think I could get a bit obsessed with monitoring increases and drops in temp!

this is dragging for me until my fertile window in like 6 days. I’m just so egar to get going but it also feels like a chore having to schedule it, gunna try think of ways to spice the time up or ways to make it different so it’s not like a chore. 🙈

@Nmmck93 I really struggle with it feeling like a chore, especially as we’re aiming to DTD everyday in the 5 days running up to ovulation, didn’t quite manage it this time 😅

I’m only 2 DPO and really trying to chill out in this TWW, let’s see how long it lasts 😂

@kalixxx I know, I would love to just DTD every day leading up to ovulation but I think it would be such a strain and such a chore. I'd be afraid of losing the spark between us, my head mentally takes me into 'what ifs' 🙈

Oh I found my TWW such a breeze, but I kept myself insanely busy & my OH hid the pregnancy tests in order for me not to test early and it wasn't easy as just popping to a shop and picking one up. I hope this TWW will be easy for me!
My fertile window is in like 5 days so just gunna chill until then and just hope for the best!

@Nmmck93 yeah I don’t think it’s actually necessary to be doing it that much we just really wanted to maximise our chances 😅

My problem is even if my OH hides the tests I work from home and can easily pop out to go and get more tests, I find it hard to resist temptation! 😂

Hopefully the weekend will go quickly for you and then you’ll pretty much be at your fertile window! Fingers crossed this is the month for both of us! (And all of us here!)

@kalixxx im hoping my fertile window starts when app predicts it - my OPKs are insanely low for it it starting in 2 days.

also just received some FRER in the post as I wanted to stock up as I can’t get hold of them in shops & I just opened the package to find they expire in 3 days so I’ve had to contact the seller in hopes I can get more sent. Absolutely fuming.

how did you get over the weekend & finding your TWW?

@Nmmck93 I’ve only been tracking 3 months but every time mine are low then it’ll suddenly peak so try not to worry it’ll happen!

Oh no! Where did you order them from? I really struggled to find FRER in shops last cycle!

Weekend was nice and busy which kept me occupied, 5 DPO today and ideally want to wait until at least next Monday before testing!

Yeah I'm just basing it off last month my lines started to get darker by now.

I ordered them off eBay from a seller so they want me to send them back for a refund. No-where round me seems to have them in stock it's crazy. I have clear blue digitalis coming but really don't want to use them when the time comes until I see a definite second line. Gunna shop around this week to see if I can get FRER.

Aw busy is good, hopefully this next week flies for you, as o said last month I was pretty laid back and relaxed and wasn't tempted to test. I feel like once I hit my TWW I'm going to be really impatient because when AF is due it's 5 days before my holiday so I'd like to have plenty of notice if Its positive 🙈

I hope I can join you all! I’m on my first cycle ttc, currently around 7 dpo (I think as I only tested using OPK for a couple of days) so in my tww - time is going very slow!
Weirdly I have been experiencing sore/bleeding gums which I didn’t know until I googled today could be an early pregnancy sign but who knows! Another week before I can test so hopefully you can all keep me sane ☺️

Hopefully your TWW goes fast and you get your BFP.

I found when I started last month and was in my TWW that it was best to keep myself busy as possible. It flew in and before you know it it's testing time.

Hey girlies hope all is going well for those still aiming for their BFP.

Just curious is there anything you do after DTD in order to improve your chances.
I've been deep in google and some pages say stay laying down for 5 minutes others say 20, then there is the old wives tale of laying with legs up.

Just curious what routines you go through after DTD

@Nmmck93 I usually stay layed down for like 15 mins with bum slightly raised on a pillow. I have bought the fertilily to try this cycle though so will see how that goes!

@Piglet34 ahh, might have to try a pillow to raise my bum up, I just kinda lay over 20 minutes and scroll on my phone to pass time.
I read that it's all a myth and sperm will just swim right up aslong as you don't stand straight up after DTD.

Hey girlies, me again.
need some advice, this is todays test; Premom reads it low but to the eye there’s is the TINIEST colour difference I feel I might hit peak tonight.
We BD last night, and my partner is working night shift tonight (he starts at 7) and I’m working until 8 tonight, and I’m working all day tomorrow until 8:30; if we BD tomorrow night will that cover us? So stressful trying to pinpoint if you’ll be covered. 🙈
