I get loads of stuff from Asda, its so cheap and its really good. I just love baby clothes. I'd like Monsoon but only if I had a girl none of the boys stuff in the I really like and dh hates it.
I really want some fish

NatalieJane · 08/02/2008 18:19

No Monsoon can be a bit hit and miss with the boys, that's why he is normally a Debenhams baby!

I did get some emergency vests from Asda once, they lost their shape fairly quickly, but then I suppose you get what you pay for!

kayzisbroody · 08/02/2008 18:22

I think Gap might be my favourite. When I was in Superdrug today I saw something really stupid. They are selling 1 clearblue digital for £14.99 and 2 for £13.99. A woman was complaining very loudly about it. I think they might have got their advertising wrong

Diege · 08/02/2008 21:20

I am totally addicted to babies/childrens clothes - it is my weakness and there's nothing I can do to stop it! I buy from everywhere - Ethel Austin through to mini-boden then onto Catimini and Oilily. There, I feel better now . I think having 3 girls is what started it - I don't think I could ever get so excited with boys' clothes!
KAY, how bizarre about the pregnany test pricings! Sounds like GB Rail, what with singles being more expensive than returns on some journeys !! The question is...did you get the twin pack then??? (seeming as it was too good an offer to miss!!). Your mum sounds lovely btw!
Have just sent dh out for diet coke and smoky bacon crisps. NO IT IS NOT A SIGN!!!!

kayzisbroody · 08/02/2008 21:23

No I didnt buy any. Mum is great though wierd, they're renovating their house so we've been taking pictures of Gargoyles as she wants them.
I really want a little girl as the dresses are lovely!!

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 08:21

Morning.
Af came this morning, which I knew it would due to being on the pill so impossible to be pg, so why am I feeling sad?
On the good side we're gonna look like idiots but to help my weight loss we're doing a treasure hunt round Pickering today.
Hope everyone is feeling good.
x

Diege · 09/02/2008 09:41

Kay, I know what you mean about af. I think because we use natural methods, that there's just a chance that a sperm could have got through etc etc, so always get a bit excited if af is a few days late! But I would be pretty and if I was too!
Treasure hunt sounds good fun, if exhausting . The weather is beautiful here, but I still have the damn marking to finish so won't get out much. So that means more mumsnet .
Morning everyone!

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 09:44

It says it takes about 2 hours to complete and we have to walk up to the castle up a very steep hill so it'll be good exercise to push ds up in his buggy

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 10:02

Diege, it was natural methods that landed me pregnant last time with the MC

Diege · 09/02/2008 11:34

NJ, lazy sounds good! I've also been at the chocolate! Dh brought back some of those Lindor ball things (dark choc with orange fillings)and after inital revulsion (I prefer milk)have become strangely attached to them. Think it's the orange filling mmm (sorry Kay ).
Re: my pregnany history, dd1 was conceived after taking one of my mini-pills a few hours late . I'd only known dh 4 months, and was terrified of his reaction, but he was brilliant, and the rest as they say is history! If dh had his choice, he's have as many LOs as possible. For me, I think 4 is my limit, although there's something quite sad abiout thinking that this will be my last pregnany (remind me I said that when I'm sticking stemital suppositoires up my ar*e and getting rehydrated from all day sickness in the hossy, like with dds 1 & 3 .
Don't think there will be any mistakes with natural method this time, as we are pretty cautious re: safe times of the months (ie avoid the full jobby from days 11 to 16, though do sometimes use withdrawal method during fertile times . I am going on what one of my old friends told me (she's a gynaecologist) that pre-ejaculatory semen DOES contain sperm, but that it isn't of sufficient quality to fertilise an egg succesfully. I'm happy to hear stories that challenge this!
Right, have procrastinated enough! Back to choccy and mareking, as dh has taken dds out for lunch at Morrison's cafe

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 12:08

I love the Lindor chocs, the milk ones though, orangey choc makes my stomach turn! In fact all choclate (except milk) makes my stomach turn!

I don't do morning sickness - thank God, not sure I'd have had a number 2 if it was an issue.... watch me spending the whole 9 months in the bathroom now!! I have a bit of an aversion to being sick, I can handle anyone else being sick, but not me!

My preg history: DS1 was concieved 6 months after my last Depo would have been due, but I had no idea at all about when would be the right time to have sex to get pregnant, I am quite surprised to this day how quickly it happened esp. after having had the depo! DS2, came off the pill in January, after 5 years on it, fell pregnant on cycle 2. MC was after finishing BF but before starting the pill. We had been using condoms, but sometimes we would erm.... (DH's words dip it in before!! LOL I then started the pill in December, had one lot of pills, and didn't get my period, also had that feeling, just got my head around the fact I was pregnant and started getting excited, and then I MC'ed beginning of last month. Still not sure if it was down to the boy/girl thing or if it was because I'd started taken the pill....

Anyway, obviously my story is going to end with, 1st of May we had unprotected sex, 14th of May I get a BFP and that's it.... yeah right!

Diege · 09/02/2008 12:22

Mmm, interesting Natalie about 'dipping it in' . I'm saying that because that's what dh did this month during ovulation (in fact had to 'come out quickly' iyswim!! . This is a familiar pattern though, so think his relatively old sperms (he's 45, will kill me if he saw this) don't have the staying power of your dh's .
You are obviously very fertile, so I could indeed foresee a May conception for you!

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 12:41

My DH isn't that much younger than yours, he is 37, (13 years older than me!)

I am really hoping it is more July time I get pregnant, May and June would be good, but would still put us in the shit every year with birthdays too close together, plus those extra couple of months could be all we need to make sure we aren't still living here with a 'for sale' sign outside come the baby being due! But I cannot bring myself to wait till July before we even start trying. And I am trying to factor in to that what if I get pregnant straight away but it ends in another MC, then at least it get's it out of the way, that sounds absolutely ridiculous, and (oddly for me ) doesn't make much sense, but I know what I mean!!! LOL

Diege · 09/02/2008 12:51

We're trying to sell too, and yes waiting a bit will certainly increase chances of being in a new, bigger house come baby 4! May alkso wouldn't be the BEST month for to ttc, but I figure there's no point pinning my hopes on one or two months (June/July ideally)as then what happens if it doesn;t work? Wait a year? . My major thing I have to admit is the sickness - I want to make a bit easier on myself by having the bad first few months when teaching load at work is lighter. Having said that, if I wasn't pregnant by September (when work gets busy again) we would just plow on regardless, mainly because of my age, and also not wanting too big a gap with dd3

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 13:11

It is only really May but especailly June (would make me due in March, already have enough March birthdays inc. DS1!) that would be easier to avoid, but like I said I can't wait that long, I think we might try in May give June a miss and then try again in July until it happens. But obviously that depends if I can give June a miss. I know I should purely from a commen sense point of view, but, well honeslty, I don't do common sense very well!

Oh well, what will be will be!

I wish DH would hurry up and get home, I have had enough lazing now, but I need him to give me a kick up the arse to get moving! DS2 has just been sick everywhere so I got him changed and everything, and now he has filled his nappy so I am off to change him again!

It is a lovely day outside, I want to go out. It feel's like the sort of day to be walking down the sea front in shorts and t-shirts, think I might catch pnemonia though! Can't wait for the summer to get here!

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 13:25

Hello everyone.
I am exhausted but we had a great time. We got all but one answer. Went into the pet shop to look at fish, saw some really cute ones.
But got home to find our last gerbil has died, one died a few weeks ago and now the other one is dead too

schneebly · 09/02/2008 13:26

erm hello..am I allowed in? I am waiting on DH to decide if we can TTC and if he says ok then may have to wait a bit anyway to try and fit in with uni etc.

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 13:26

Awww sorry about the gerbil

Sound's like you had a good time though

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 13:32

We had a great time.

Hello Schneebly, welcome to the madhouse
Only joking

schneebly · 09/02/2008 13:35

hi guys sorry about the gerbil

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 13:37

I cant believe they've died. But then again I have wanted to get rid of them as they taking up so much room as we have one of those rotastak things

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 13:39

I didnt want the blooming things to die!!

Diege · 09/02/2008 13:41

Hi Schneebly . You're very welcome - your Lo's are gorgeous!!!
Aw no Kay about the gerbil . Our hamster died (the cat played a big role, long story that still upsets me )a few weeks ago, and it's strange how sad I feel (and continue to feel!) and her dying.
Not to make the thread sad! . Great going with the treasure hunt Kay! Bet you feel all invigorated and virtuous!

kayzisbroody · 09/02/2008 13:48

I feel quite good actualy. We had to walk up 2 quite steep hills, while pushing ds so it was quite good excerise. Fell like I might sleep for England tonight

NatalieJane · 09/02/2008 14:07
