I will keep thinking, I am assuming that DS2's moaning is down to the fact he has finished lunch, so this time I really am going to get my bath, before it's too late!

See you all in a bit

popcornprincess · 14/02/2008 13:00

Afternoon ladies. There is something very wrong with me. I keep crying and feel soooooo down. Just been on the phone to my mum and she thinks it might be the hormones playing up after my m/c. My sister has just told me she is 5 weeks pregnant - may be thats why I feel so crap although I am happy for her. I was fine yesterday and now I can't seem to cope with anything.

kayzisbroody · 14/02/2008 13:12

Aww I've never had a mc but I can imagine that its hard to hear that somebody close to you is pg.
I think I might start ttc now!!!
I'd rather get possible morning sickness out of the way before I go on holiday.
What do you think?

Teuch · 14/02/2008 13:19

when I had my mmc, my SIL and I had due dates 1 day apart. It was horrible for all concerned, but my sadness didn't stop me from being happy for her IYKWIM.

Be totally prepared for the next few months to be a rollercoaster of emotions. I found that it was well after the physical side of the mc had healed, that I really felt it in my heart. I had a particularly down time about a month afterwards I think...

Just let is wash over you, cry as much as you need to, get support where you can and it will pass.

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 14:11

Popcorn, can only sympathise having never been through it myself. As you MC was not long ago I am sure you will get many ups and downs in the months to come and it is completely normal, there is nothing wrong with you.

Kay, you are loosing your will power!!! You really meant that? What CD are you on? If its the business end of your cycle you could start tonight and have a valentines day conception .

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 14:23

I am having a shit day to BB. We can have a shit together.

BeMyLilBaby · 14/02/2008 14:27

oh yes lets.. i am blaming it on magpies, i saw (for sorrow) yesters and had a shite day and same today, although not AS shite... yet another reason cant wait to be pg and get outta here!

whats made yours pants playing?

happynappies · 14/02/2008 14:55

Popcorn - am not surprised you feel a bit 'all over the place' emotionally, your mc being so recent your hormones will still be all mixed up, and it must still feel quite raw. My friend had a mmc around the time my dd was born, and it was very difficult - the only thing I can advise would be to talk when you feel like talking, to the people that help you the most, you'll know who they are.

Haven't been here for a bit - the conversation keeps moving on, and am getting so confused!! Is everyone ditching plans to wait for May/July and going for it tonight then??!

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 15:17

Hi Happy, We all chat far to much. Not everyone is loosing their will power , I am still waiting till Sept.

BB - What is making my day shit, do you want the list? My bl*dy fking sty company, thats what. We are a electronic toy and consumer good company. Our head office is in France, our production office in Hong Kong and we have small sales offices in various European countries. Here in the UK we are a small sales office. We turn over about £7million a year and do it all on 3 office staff. We are completely and utterly overworked and underpaid. One member of staff is accounts, one is order proccessing/stock control/logitics and I am everything else (marketing/sales support/trade show coordinator etc). On top of that we have a free phone customer service helpline that we are all trying to answer as well, as head office will not get their arses in gear and either employ someone here to do it or get it transfered to France. So we get about 30 calls, 10 emails, 5 letters etc a day to "customer service" which we dont have, so we all try and do it. It simply does not work, we cannot do it all and if the phone rings again with another bl*dy stupid customer who cant read the damn instructions and wants help calls, I might just yell at them, tell them they are too stupid to own the product and to take it back to the shop they bought it from. We are all on the verge of mutany here. I spose at least we all feel the same and the people I work with here are lovely but I am beginnning to loose the plot.

Apart from that my day is great, yours?

BeMyLilBaby · 14/02/2008 15:26

lol sounds as bad as mine!!! my job is working with unreliable temporary staff (placing them into work) my job is in a a new department, but in a company that is really results orientated, who do not give us enough oppurtunities to actually get results which makes me a bit paranoid and frustrated...just another day at the office eh???

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 15:33

yes it is bad. What is really frustrating is the 3 of us here really care about what we do and it is such a shit way to run a business. The place I used to work distrubted baby and toddler products and turned over about £4million (very similar set up) and has 20 office staff, 10 of whom are pretty much dedicated to customer service/order processing. There is no way we can do our job properly on 3 office staff, we could double that and still not have enough staff. And because I actually care and want to do a good job I get stressed when I can't. Its no way to run a company

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 15:47

Anyhow, I shouldnt be moaning its not my style but since my assistant quit 4 months ago I have just been struggling on and I am getting to the point where it is making me ill and I am swamped with work. My boss knows and does understand. In fact if he read my post here he would agree! He is just as powerless as I am to do anything about it, its all up to head office. Don't get me worng, I work with some wonderful people in a lovely enviroment but I am not sure how much longer I can go on with this. I really dont want to leave, the job is local, flexible (e.g no one cares if I turn up late because I work late and never have a lunch break), the people are nice and when I actually get to do my job I enjoy it. But.. how long can this go on... Well I have my annual review next month, some arse kicking will be needed, I better get a good pay rise at least.

BeMyLilBaby · 14/02/2008 15:50

playing i think you deserve a pay rise a gratuitous pair ofjimmy choos and a new assistant

NatalieJane · 14/02/2008 15:56

OK I have had a bath, shaved... everywhere (nice, I know!) Done my manicure and pedicure, done my hair nicely, just need to re-do make-up (I went out to get DS with no make up on ) and I also went out with my trainers and a smart coat on, LOL it is cold today and looked like it might rain and the only warm and dry coat I have is quite smart looking, but, I normally wear my boots with it, but my boot leave a mark around my ankle, so I couldn't put them on, so had to wear my trainers....

Anyway, Pop, I had a MC last month, I do know how you are feeling, as someone said it is all completely normal. My email is [email protected] if you ever want to moan away at someone, I found someone on MN who was going through the same thing as me invaluable. I found I could tell her more easily how I was feeling, rather than telling DH who was doing his own hurting. Now, DH knows it all, but I couldn't say it out loud at the time. I still have some down days now, but they are getting less and less, and I am really concentrating on TTC'ing. Anyway, my email is there if you want it, and obviously we are all here whenever you want

Sorry BB and Playing are having bad days, sometimes it doesn't take much to turn the day around, both ways

Kay, good luck sweetie, I agree about the morning sickness and hols FWIW, what CD are you on now?

Any more ideas for a new thread name? I can see us getting to 1005 and not having one sorted then we will be all lost!

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 16:00

Jimmy choos not only would I never spend that type of money on shoes (or probably myself in general) my fat feet would never fit . But yes, pay rise badly needed.

Natalie - OMG - what an effort you are making. I am seriously impressed. Mind you I am a no make up kinda girl.

happynappies · 14/02/2008 16:02

Feel v. guilty - have no special plans for tonight, and am sitting here in my fleece and jeans looking v. down at heel... perhaps should make the effort, is it too late to find a recipe for a nice meal to cook for tonight?!!

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 16:07

Happy, it is never too late, I can help with idea if you tell me whats in your cupboard? Mind you should your DH/DP be doing that?

largeginandtonic · 14/02/2008 16:08

Happy Valentines ladies

I am not really here, nursing pox ridden husband and children. Feckin hell.

Am so bored and tired, baby and dh up most of the night. No chance to catch up I do wonder how i will cope with early pregnancy and a baby still waking up through the night.

Have you changed your mind then Kay?

Playing hope work gets sorted soon, poor you, be careful you dont make yourself poorly.

Natalie have a very nice time tonight our sexy evening will consist of scratching

Thread title...

'To bake or not to bake that is the question....'

NatalieJane · 14/02/2008 16:10

Not too late at all.

Go in the drawer in the kitchen, there should be a menu in there, maybe a Chinese or Indian one, you will find a phone number, ring it, and then half an hour later it magically arrives at your door cooked and loveeeerrrrrrly

I don't do lot's of make-up normally, a bit of blusher/bronzing powder to wake me up, some mascara, and vaseline on my lips. I couldn't be doing eye shadow and foundation, and all the rest of it every day...!

Playingthewaitinggame · 14/02/2008 16:12

Love the thread title, I think thats it!
(I actually feel less stressed and better already chatting on here again )

NatalieJane · 14/02/2008 16:13

PMSL at LG&T's thread title And I couldn't help a little giggle coming out at the scratching comment either, sorry it is so shit at the moment, will hopefully pick up once the scratching stops.

Tired is a good sign And don't put it down to being up all night, that isn't playing the game!
