Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:33

BB I like your names. My brother is called Christopher and I like George, Finley is also nice. Lola is a lovely name, Sophie is not my fav (probably cos I used to know a Sophie I didn't like!!) but its still a nice name.

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:34

and whilst we are on the subject of names - Natalie, you have the same name as my sister, she is a Natalie Jane

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:36

Right as much as I could stay at my desk and chat to you lovely ladies I need to go to waitrose and buy butter so I can go home and make quiche (all because of the egg talk earlier). Speak to you all tomorrow.

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:38

unless I could use the marg in my fridge, hmmm, not sure it will make good pastry though ...

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 17:38

I might get the bus to York tomorrow and go to Tesco so I can buy some healthy food as our stupid supermarket doesnt really stock much

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 17:40

Playing the doctor made it out to be fairly drastic apparently Im bordering on obese. I'm kinda wishing I didnt go now

Diege · 07/02/2008 17:40

Love the names too - George is really cute, as is Finley. I like Lola more than Sophie (though can't help singing the Barry Manilow song ). Lots of Sophies at dds' school/nursery.
Not to nag Kay, but STEP AWAY FROM THE SLIMFAST - you will just end up hungry, tired and resentful, and it really plays about with your metabolism too so when you stop it your body goes crazy and doesn't know where it's 'at'. As GIN says, try WW or my fave Slimming World - I have made some great friends in class too, so a nice social thing as well .
GIN, ditto with noise levels - just willing the minutes to pass until bedtime!!

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 17:45

I cant do slimming world either. I work Tues, Weds and Thurs and sw is Tues and ww is thurs so I cant do them

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:49

Kay, I am bordering obese too, if you go by BMI, I had a nurse helpfully (evil skinny woman) point that out to me a while ago, for a good few hours she made me feel like shit actually but I am comfortable in my own skin so I dont see it as a huge problem.

It would be helpful for you (and me) to loose weight, their is no doubt about that. BUT, no one I know would call me obese, I don't look it and I don't feel it. Yes, I am overweight, but I have sexy curves (including fab 34F boobs which are just great, if I do say so myself ) and feel that life is too short to get completely hung up on the number on a scale. What I am trying to say is, yes it would do you some good to loose weight but there is no way I would describe that need as "drastic", so eating healthly and getting some exercise is all you need to do, not resort to slimfast.

Diege · 07/02/2008 17:50

Bummer. Is there a Rosemary Conlay class near by? Or even just going to some classes at the local leisure centre maybe?

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 17:54

I dont think there is a Rosemary Conlay class. I go swimming loads.
Playing I wouldn't say I was obese either. I only a tubby belly and dont really look that bad. I was quite shocked when she said it

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 17:59

Why dont you keep a food diary. That will give you really good insite into what you are actually eating.

I don't want to make out that loosing weight is not important, I think for you it is, but I think some perspective may help. Before I skip off home, I will just post a recent pic of me on my profile (well less than a year old). I am practially exactly the same weight as you. I admit its not the most flattery pic (I only have a few on my work pc) but if you can honestly tell me I look obese in that photo I will shut up, I admit I do look a little chunky but not obese.

Playingthewaitinggame · 07/02/2008 18:01

OK done it, I am off home now!!!

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 18:03

I dont feel obese or think I look it, neither does anyone else I know. Im just worried about putting any baby we concieve at any risk

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 18:05

Playing I deffo dont think you are obese at all.

NatalieJane · 07/02/2008 19:07

My my my, busy chattering again I see

So we did the McDonalds thing, I HATE that place, I do have a thing for the Fillet O'Fish, but even that I can do without if it means we don't have to go.

And I commited a huge MN sin. DS2 had a fruitshoot I forgot to take his cup of water, and there is nothing else he can (physically) drink from there. Hated sitting there watching him drink it. His face was a picture though, he has never drank anything except milk and water, think he liked it since he wouldn't let me take it off him!! Thought he might go a bit hyper but when we got back into town he was asleep!

BB, DS2 is George

Playing, it is my RL name as well! (Couldn't think of anything else when I joined MN, so imaginative I am!)

Kay, (and Playing) I was bigger than the both of you when I had DS2, and smaller when I had the MC so weight isn't the be all and end all, if you were absolutely massive then I would say different. And without sounding absolutely awful, if you have a sneaky peak at alot of the MNers with pictures of them selves on profile, a lot of them are a lot bigger than you. Don't mean that to sound bad on them at all.

Right, time for the bar to open methinks.

G'night everyone xxx

kayzisbroody · 07/02/2008 19:22

I am very good. My friend and I are going to Aqua Aerobics on Monday nights. Neither of us can go next week though
I think it will be fun. Also my mum might be taking me shopping tomorrow for health food.

Diege · 08/02/2008 07:17

Morning . Good going on the aqua aerobics Kay - plus it's something that can be kept up when you're pregnant too .
LOL NJ at fruitshoots - my lot have them at McDonalds, probably about once a month, and their only complaint is that the bottle is too small! They want cokes now with their happy meals not sure if they're better or worse? Probably worse because of the acid.
Last day of term today, then a week off for half term holiday . Have managed to share it out with dh, so he's taking leave mon/tues, me winging it 'working from home' wed/thurs, then my day off is Friday. I always try to save up my leave for the summer hols! Odd to think I could be pregnant this summer! Eeek!! My ideal month would be June to get pregnany so I have a Spring baby. The month to avoid is a Nov baby (which I think would mean ttc Feb/March?)Actually thinking about it both times were valentine day shags and I was able to give dh a BPF inside his birthhday card both times on 14th March! Both dd2 and 3 have nov birthdays (a week after each other)so want to space out a little more!
Right, enough rambling from me - must get dds breakfasts!

Diege · 08/02/2008 07:19

That's 'BFP', not BPF!

kayzisbroody · 08/02/2008 07:20

Morning.
I got pregnant in June with ds Diege and it was good because over winter I was nice and warm while dh moaned about the cold.
Mum is taking me shopping today (good thing her boss is her dp) but dh has hidden the cool bag thing we put ds's food in.
MEN!!
Have a good day all!!

NatalieJane · 08/02/2008 07:24

Morning all

Don't know what is wrong with me, have slept every night, all through the night, since DS2 started going in his cot (except one night when I was awake from 4 and a couple of erm.... late nights with DH!) but I feel more tired now than I did in the first weeks of having newborn's in the house..... I have only just realised as well that it was Thursday yesterday, I always ring my mum on Thursday mornings, and I completely forgot about it! Must've been all the talk of thongs and landing strips yesterday LOL

I've got DS1's assembly this morning, he is being presented with this gold award.... he is so excited I just have to try and stay awake through all the preying and singing, it is a RC school, only one of the things I don't like about the school!

Oh god, I am moaning more than ever.

Kay, aqua aerobics is quite good fun (Much more so than slim fast! )

Right time to get ready... see you all later xx

kayzisbroody · 08/02/2008 07:33

I'm really looking forward to it.
I cant wait to go shopping

BeMyLilBaby · 08/02/2008 08:09

morning you bunch of chatter boxes!

thanks for feed back on the names, we r gonna go with lola and finley as first choices

as for being obese, i actually am, i was always curvy but over the last year ive ballooned, i actually look fat now, whereas before i weas just tubby, BUT im not letting it get me down, im gonna have a baby and then work hard to get rid of it all, what better motivation is there that a lo to be healthy for eh??

Im going back to body combat soon, and when i feel happier in myself il take up swimming, my downfall is i dont like any fruit or veg, so anything i do eat i have to force myself too..it all ahrps back to my RC school where the lady forcefed me and i vomited...oh the lunch assistants back in the day eh?

i can eat steamed veg, well steamed carrots, just want to try and get into fruit! sorry to ramble... x

kayzisbroody · 08/02/2008 08:15

I dont like much fruit or veg either. I've put on over a stone since having ds. But I dont like eating breakfast. It just seems to early in the day to be eating, but dh forces me to have it

NatalieJane · 08/02/2008 08:16

Sorry completely missed the messages before my last one!

DS1 I got pregnant in June (that weekend I said about for my 18th in Bourenmouth, twas very good!! ), he was born in March.

DS2 I got pregnant in March, he was born in December, he was due in November though

I think timing/seasons wise DS1's pregnancy was better, but I found I was very warm all the way through the pregnancy with him, whereas with DS2 I didn't get too hot. But deffo aiming for a summer baby again, was much nicer for DS1 when he was born than poor little DS2 wrapped up so he couldn't bloody move, and then we had shitty summer last year so he spent most of that behind a rain cover.

You lot need to stop talking about babies, it is not doing my waiting any good at all!!
