velcrobott · 14/12/2004 21:15

Yes I could get pregnant but have NO clue when I am OV!!! and when you have 2 young kids,.... BD is not on the agenda every night

The womb massage is really very interesting. A friend of mine trained in the US and she says the results are quite amazing.... well short of AF she has certainly generated some old blood to come out of my womb.... She has also told me to do some vaginal steams (did one but need herbs to do another) quite pleasant actually. I am not giving up but I am 37 and alreayd have 2 kids so it's OK if I don't have a 3rd.
What I find unbelievable is that "pre-menopause" happened right after my last smear.... I was totally regular before then with EWCM every month !!

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 21:46

Tania2 · 14/12/2004 21:49

velcrobott · 14/12/2004 21:54

Jingleballs... I have not hd any AF in 3 months and blood tests show high level of FSH... and other things too. I am otherwise totally healthy!
Tania- are there no therapist in Australia ? What are you being opearted on tomorrow?

For those who can't be bothered to read from the link, here is the history and description of womb massage :

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage TM are practiced and taught by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, D.N. Dr. Arvigo learned these techniques from her mentor, Don Elijio Panti, the great Maya Shaman of Belize, Central America with whom she apprenticed for ten years. Don Elijio passed away in 1996 at the age of 103. Rosita also studied with Hortence Robinson, a 73 year old herbal midwife of Belize who has been delivering babies since she was 13. Rosita has spent the last thirty years studying and teaching Maya medicine. Maya Abdominal Massage is an integral component of Maya medicine.

The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Massage address position and health of the pelvic and abdominal organs. The work is best known for the correction of the prolapsed, fallen, or tilted uterus and for the prevention and treatment of benign prostate enlargement in men.

Don Elijio believed that a woman's center is her uterus. "If a woman's uterus is out of balance, so is she," he would say. Midwives and healers of Central America agree that most female troubles are caused by the wandering womb. Normally the uterus leans slightly over the bladder in the center of the pelvis, about one and a half inches above the pubic bone. It is held in this position by muscles, the vaginal wall and ligaments that attach it to the back, front, and sides of the pelvis. Uterine ligaments are made to stretch to accommodate a growing fetus inside and to move freely when the bladder or bowel is full. The ligaments and muscles can weaken and loosen, causing the uterus to fall downward, forward, backward or to either side. A uterus in any of these positions is called tilted or prolapsed. Modern medicine has little or nothing to offer women with this problem. Generally they are told, "your uterus is tipped, but that is normal and don't worry about it." Yet women have a laundry list of physical and emotional symptoms that can be addressed and prevented with these simple, noninvasive massage techniques.

When reproductive organs shift, they can constrict normal flow of blood and lymph, and disrupt nerve connections. Just a few extra ounces sitting on blood and lymph vessels can cause havoc throughout the different systems in the body. By shifting the uterus back into place, homeostasis, or the natural balance of the body, is restored in the pelvic area and the surrounding organs. Toxins are flushed and nutrients that help to tone tissue and balance hormones are restored to normal order. This is essential for healthy pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Old adhesions from invasive treatments to the pelvic and abdominal area, including fibroid tumors, endometriosis, and cesarean delivery are diminished when addressed by uterine massage. In addition, digestion, urinary and bladder problems can be helped. This type of massage is also helpful in increasing blood flow to the pelvic region for men.

velcrobott · 14/12/2004 21:55

Hi girls back from my op. MIL made me dinner roast chicken bless her.

Dont understand what will happen next does anyone know????

Hope you are all well
Hester bfp yet???

cockenzie · 15/12/2004 09:09

cheers jb for the tip. haha!!! that sounds really rounchy

jingleballs · 15/12/2004 09:15

awww tania ((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) i'm so sorry hon, the dr could have been a bit more sensitive. it's not bleek thou, as the nurse said you've got PG once, and u can do it again, you might go around the houses to get there, but it don't matter how long it takes or which route u go down cos the out come will still be the same. so until the Dt firmly says we've exhausted every avenue, I don't want u gettin upset..... ok........there's always hope, so don't give up on urself, it will just mean a few ops and hopefully you'll catch really quickly after once your all ahem flushed thru ahem but for now hon... enjoy DS, and DH eat lots of choc he he (the ultimate answer) and let DH pamper you.

Hester hon.. it's ok, hopefully u'll have the good result, but if not we're all thinkin about u.

ernest · 15/12/2004 09:33

tania, I'm sorry i didn't have chance to wish you luck before your op. I'm sorry you've had this shock. I hope I don't offend you, but in a way, it's good news, pet. I mean, it would have been more frustrating if they found absolutely nothing wrong with you. At least now you & the docs know what's wrong & they can do something about it. They'll take really good care of you, get you all unblocked & squeeky clean & then you'll be raring to go. I know it must have been a huge shock, but at least now you know why and can tackle it. i don't know what they do to unblock, don't know anything about it, but they must have seen this problem loads of times before. I'm sorry he was so blunt with you, but at least he's going to call tomorrow, not having to wait around for weeks. hope you have the chance to discuss with dh & maybe even some more wise mners who'll help you think of what questions to ask him Get a good list together. it's easy to forget or not even think what to say or ask.

(((((((((((((big hugs))))))))))))) from me

LipstickMum · 15/12/2004 09:38

Tania, I'm so sorry to hear about the results of your operation, but even more sorry to hear how the consultant handled the situation. You may not feel like it at the moment, but I would write a letter expressing your distress in the way you were treated. I'm not suggesting you demand his resignation (!!) just let him know how disappointed you were by his attitude. To him it may be routine news, but to every woman it's much more than that.

I hope when you see him next week he is in a better mood for a start and for a second can offer you more hopeful news (((((hugs)))))

fastasleep · 15/12/2004 09:38

jingle and hester you cracked me up! STILL sending Hester good luck vibes constantly!! (((hugs!))) So sorry about the bad news Tania, insensitive doctor I'm sure they'll be able to help you though! (((hugs for you too!!)))

Come on BFP!!! You know I'm ovulating bang on Christmas Day if my calculations are correct! I'm going to cry so much if I'm not pg by Jan though, much like Hester this month, poor love

MINNIE1 · 15/12/2004 09:39

Tania, {{{{{hugs}}}}}}
I am so sorry to hear your news.. The doc could have explained more to you, how bloody rude of him...
Tania you can do this as your a strong person.. it may take time but you'll be a mummy again soon

{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}

fastasleep · 15/12/2004 09:50

{{{{{Bigger hugs for Tania}}}}} my last post seems insensitive now! Ernest was completely right!...Can't say anything better than that!

Tania2 · 15/12/2004 10:07

Thanks girls you are all very sweet.
Have to go to bed now still very tired and sore will read thru post tomorrow when it all sinks in.
Hester how are you been thinking of you today.

sweetheart · 15/12/2004 10:09

Tania2 - I'm so sorry you had such a horrible experience yesterday. Please please stay positive - there are more channels they can try!!! Ignore the doctor - he delas with these problems every day so I guess it's just routein to him - he should have been more sensitive!!!

I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed for you and cheep checking in.

Hester - good luck - hope you get your BFP

Love (oh and babaydust) to you all xxxx
