RudyDudy · 14/12/2004 12:45

don't start me on wanting sleep jb.....am just on here for a minute myself before going for a nap!

how are you?

Who are the next testers? I know Hester's tomorrow and I'm due on Monday. Anyone else??? We desperately need a BFP so we can start a new thread - this one is getting ridiculous! (Do you think there's a MN prize for the longest thread???)

Sallie · 14/12/2004 12:54

This thread isn't too long yet but soon we will be into September baby territory which is scarey. Hoping that there are some BFPs in the next few weeks. Would be good to end this thread and start a new one with some good news. Best of luck to everyone testing this week. I am CD4 today I think, so a while to go for me yet.

cockenzie · 14/12/2004 13:41

cd 18.waiting patiently for boxing day to be due and testing.hugs to everyone

morningpaper · 14/12/2004 13:46

Cockenzie, there is surely NO WAY you won't test on Christmas Eve because you will want to give DH a present.

SURELY everyone is planning that?! Even I am and it will only be about cd21.... someone slap me, I'm already getting hysterical!

fastasleep · 14/12/2004 13:47

I can't test till january 11th...so nope morningpaper not all of us will be doing that lol

Sallie · 14/12/2004 13:50

I won't be ov till between Christmas and New Year but am hoping for a fab new Year's present - well you never know..... Really like the idea of testing on Christmas eve but I wouldn't do it if its far too early morningpaper. Its up to you but why not wait till later and then give your dh a great New Year's pressie if the news is good....
Coming from me - a manic early tester - this advice is rather rich but I know how disappointing it is to get a BFN.
Best of luck everyone, especially to those testing this week. And big hugs to Tania too....

hester · 14/12/2004 14:40

Hi Rudy - no, I haven't held out; have been testing like a madwoman since Sunday! It's costing me a fortune and the repeated BFNs are getting me down. Had been feeling certain that I was pg; now am thinking that I'm not and really panicking about how I will get through this af.

jb - yes, dp is also ttc. Our one asset: four ovaries between us! So I may well be coming onto this thread to announce that I'm not pg, but am having a baby

RudyDudy · 14/12/2004 14:46

(((hester))) it is madness what we put ourselves through, isn't it? but somehow we carry on...the only thing I can say about the money side is have you looked at medisave.co.uk - you can bulk buy hpt and they are way cheaper than from a chemist. I bought 10 early tests for about £8. Not good for your mental health to have - tests lying around but at least you feel less guilty about the spending! Sending lots of babydust to you and DP (and your 4 ovaries LOL!)

Tania - if you log on again before the op then GOOD LUCK. Wishing you a straightforward operation, a speedy recovery and some successful bd very soon TC.

hester · 14/12/2004 14:47

I've just been told that there is a winter vomiting virus going round. I guess that's an alternative - and altogether less appealing - explanation for my nausea then

God, I hate this game.

RudyDudy · 14/12/2004 14:47

*10 tests not -!

hester · 14/12/2004 17:55

This thread has been quiet for three hours.

Some kind of record?

Have you all run away to Spain?

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:02

OMG hester - I didn't think of it like that actually (tilts head to the side and thinks, 4 ovarys, god, one of u best have some luck soon then! I bet u'll both catch at the same time.) of course we'll be happy if DP gets PG, but we'll be happier if u do iycwim. hopefully u'll be on the same cycle patterns are you, otherwise in fact, god, double the exp, double the stress - twice. god. oh well, hopefully this flu thing will pass u by, down here we have a strain of it going about which lasts for 5 days and it's constant S/D - nice huh! touch wood i've not had it..... we'll all be here for u as i'm sure DP will be in RL for u if/when AF shows her face.

MP - I def won't be testin on xmas eve, however i'm due on on xmas eve (if I have the 26 day cycle two days b4 if I have a 24 day one) I can see it now, if I don't come on on CD 24 i'll be on here saying, girls girls, i must be PG i've not seen AF! lol, (I don't think imaculate conceptions are real r they? hmmm thinks hard an smells smoke coming from ears! lol) besides, I don't think DH's aim is that good for 3000 miles! lol.

i'm doing good ty rudy - after the initial OMG this morning of where r my sticks! lol, being late for work as a result, I managed to leave early to go and get some more from the shop. - (it's the only time I like town in Dec, 5.30 when everyone else is at home and the shop is about to close! lol)

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:03

i'd like to run away to american, or the caribeen (sp u knwo what i'm like by now!) hmmm that would be nice, a desert island with no one else there apart form DH and me. loads of sand, and sea, and sun.. hmmm.

hester · 14/12/2004 18:08

jb, I think the chances of us both getting pg at the same time, at our age, must be zillions to one! And pretty nightmarish... though infinitely better than neither of us getting pg, the odds of which are rather higher

Can you imagine, though - toddling along to antenatal together, neighbouring beds in the labour ward...

hester · 14/12/2004 18:08

PS. Caribbean for me, please!

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:12

lol, well I didn't want to say it, but that was exactly that i was thinkin! lol, I can just see u two attempting to do each otehrs legs when ur 9 months, and ur waters r about to burst! lol. it would be rather funny thou, has she been tryin the same amount of time as u?

hester · 14/12/2004 18:18

No, she was a late starter - because we were beginning to worry that I may not be up to it.. LOL at the thought of us heaving our bulks around, bickering about whose turn it is to do the backrub, taking turns tidying each other's toenail varnish/leghair/bikini line because we both want to be the cutest aged hag in the labour ward...

Thanks jb; I'm feeling very low right now and that helped!

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:20

hmm, should I be worried.... well u know it's a known fact that us girls like to look our best, even if we r screamin the place down and giving birth, hey at least u'll have a good person to hold hands with, cos u'd both be tryin to rip eachothers arm off! lol.

hester · 14/12/2004 18:24

You can just imagine the couple conversation:

'Don't you understand I'm in pain here? I just want a bit of support from you!'

'You're in pain? YOU'RE IN PAIN? What about me, don't I get my turn to suffer?'

'OK, OK, you can be the most-in-pain now; but I get the sympathy when it comes to the stitches!'

'You always have to be in charge, don't you? Why can't we do it my way, for once?'

Think we'll have to ferry in some doulas to keep us apart!

jeddah · 14/12/2004 18:25

OMG girls its taken me ages to catch up with the gos!

Come on we need a BFP!!!!! to start a new thread.

Hester you are due tomorrow! when will you test again?

Tania GOOD LUCK for tomorrow! we'll all be thinking about you

nothing much happening here with me. Been referred to Gynae bod. Cd4! and green light all the bloody way!

Hulababy · 14/12/2004 18:28

Afternoon all. CD11 here so still quiet right now. OV should be around CD15-17 I think.

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:28

LMFAO!! actually I can picture that, it will be a 'why to u think ur sooo special u get to relax in the bath'

'cos i'm bloomin PG's y'

'well guess what i'm 2 days further on than u so budge up'

'me budge up - u budge up' lol (later that night out wanting to go into town)

' u never take me out any more'

'well if u didn't always look like u have a football up ur top!'

'me ... me ... what about u...@ lol. (i'd love to be a fly on the wall in ur house if that happens! lol. then again thou, two women - PMT.... er, actually i won't! lol. (if ur anything like me things start being thown around the room! lol

jingleballs · 14/12/2004 18:28

any news on the gyno app jeds?

hester · 14/12/2004 18:29

Hi jedds!

Yes I'm due tomorrow, and was very excited as I've been feeling SO pg for the last five days. But this afternoon I suddenly felt - less so, and more premenstrual. Then the cramps came, and I started crying here at my desk (open plan humiliation moment - had to dive under my desk and pretend to be looking for something on the floor).

I was sooo convinced... but it's not looking good. Please pray/cross fingers for me that I may still get my miracle. At the moment I'm feeling SO scared; guess I'm still not over the mc and am not handling this well.

jeddah · 14/12/2004 18:31

JB
No, I am waiting for the referral letter to get to the gynae consultant, so when I ring, they will know who I am, probably ring on Friday from work, as I think it was sent yesterday or today.
