hester · 11/12/2004 09:01

Hi all. Am feeling a bit strange. Decided Thursday afternoon that I was pregnant - mainly on the basis of tingly boobs and funny taste in my mouth. By yesterday, was convinced. Last night felt nauseous; woke up this morning feeling even worse. Tested. BFN. Sad

OK, my period's not due for a few days (I THINK; I miscarried a month ago so I'm assuming). It's possible I am pregnant and it's just a bit too early to pick up, even though I did use a First Response. But I think it's more likely a combination of (a) feeling sick because I'm getting a bug - I do feel very rough this morning, and (b) so desperately, desperately wanting to still be pg.

I've spent the last two days away at a conference, at exactly the same venue as I was in last time I found out I was pregnant. I think I'm kind of replaying it and thinking up the same symptoms... also, so many people have told me I'll probably get pg again quickly and I know that at some level I've kind of convinced myself it will happen instantly. I feel that I've postponed some of the distress from the miscarriage onto this cycle, and that starting my period will feel like a continuation of it...

Sorry, I'm babbling, but I'm finding this really, really hard.

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 09:17

u can babble everything u want if it makes u feel better.i am so sory about the bfn after convincing urself that u was pg.u not having a nice time at all.why not waiting a few more days and test again? wish i had a magic wand for urself.big huggs

Hulababy · 11/12/2004 09:28

Morning all. No news here as too early in cycle. Going to look at some plans for new houses this morning :)

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 09:33

Hester - hope u feel better soon.

jingleballs · 11/12/2004 10:03

hester - I was afraid of this for you. not to worry thou, if you're PG excellent the drink are on you (((big hugs))), poss you could be. My doctor says you can still get a BFN up to 8 weeks (FS theres still hope for you yet). But if ur not PG (and I hope u r) then ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((biggerh hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))) we'll help u thru it (if u wanna chat about it to ppl who arn't as close to you as DP as i'm sure she'll be feelin a small portion of what you are in some sence) then u know where we are, when ur ready.

Hula - those b&^%£ds, that's so annoying to canell all of ur cards, at least no one was hurt, and you can still access some money - (now u won't be able to spend as much thou which is good!)

rudy - glad u enjoyed the ballet.

Canadian mum - a woman after my own heart! lol, I know exactly how you feel (less the children thou) god I can't wait for DH to come home and get me PG!

cockenzie - is the meeting at another venue poss?

Jeddah - OI YES U JEDDS! (SHOUTS AT THE TOP OF HER VOICE :O) how's ur head hon? he he he should I bang the pots and pans, or get you a full greasy english breckie? :o

tania - sorry about AF hon (hopefully you'll be on my hit list next cycle as well after the op) what am I saying, i'll be on that hit list as well :o wooohooo!

well I still have the 'O' sign on the persona - I must have opened it about 50 times yesterday to make sure it hadn't vanished! lol. cockenzie - I was on about the clear blue OV kits, they smile whan ur OV. (I was trying to convince myself they were crap as i'd never and I mean literaly never had a smiley b4, so I wonder if I haven't been OV? well any how I don't care cos I am now :o yay... I feel like a real woman at last! :o) any how, off with the family for a bit, so talk to you all later on... If I can drag myself away from MN!

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:24

canadianmum & jb - must be nice when u r in the same boat and feel the same things (roughly) so u can support each other.!!

really wish i could meet u jb!!

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:27

(((Hester))) - poor you. That is really tough having to be in the same place you were last time. I bet you're glad to be home. Fingers crossed it is just too early for testing. As we all know the waiting game is the worst bit of it in many ways as it's so hard not to get your hopes up (impossible even?). Keep babbling away to us and we'll either all go loopy together or we'll keep each other sane. Hope you're having a nice weekend Smile

As for me, CD26 so 9 more days....it's so ironic that when I was younger I was so pleased to have long cycles so I had fewer periods - well that one's come back to bite me on the bum, hasn't it?!!

DH reckons he got in about 1.30am and I can't help as I only noticed he was missing when I woke up at 5.30am panicked cus he wasn't there and found him downstairs asleep in front of Countdown! Still, on the positive side at least I had a quiet night Grin

Hello to everyone else - this thread is too long to properly keep up! Someone get a BFP and start a new one. Please??? Are there any weekend testers we can pin our hopes on?

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:30

where are you cockenzie? would you be around for a new year ttc meet up?

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:31

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:32

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:33

I'm in SW London but heading probably v.v. close to your way for new year. You anywhere near Gullane?

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:33

i dont mind meeting anyone.in fact would be nice to meet other ladies who are in the same boat and we can cheer each other up.but if u r down south and me up here , rather hard!!

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:34

Gullane not far from me actually. if u go there, there may be a possibility

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:34

well, I think we were going to try for somewhere centralish for the meet up as people are literally all over the country. so, who knows...

jingleballs · 11/12/2004 10:35

i went to enidbough once, (actually three times) to glencourse.... it was bloomin cold... It was november.. god i've never been any where so cold! the shops looked nice there thou, didn't manage to get around them mind. I'm in a whole nother country (and beleive me u need a passport to come this far into wales!) unfortunatly so for now, we'll have to message/mail! :o

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:36

rudy - sw london? where r u? used to stay in Thornton Heath not far from Crystal Palace? or Bromley was working in Bromley South

RudyDudy · 11/12/2004 10:36

cockenzie · 11/12/2004 10:38

jb - u in Wales?
funny , cos when i was in London (alhough staied there 10 years) i never ever got used to the cold and damp.only been in scotland for 3 years now, and i soon got used to the cold.its not the same cold, its fresher, finer air. i think anyway

jingleballs · 11/12/2004 10:38
