HellKat · 08/12/2004 14:37

I'm the same. Mind you nowhere near as bad a s before i had ds. I'm now on about 3/4 coffees per day (was only two but my dad sent over yummy creamers from the states, irish cream and vanilla flavours), cant resist em. But i do like my herbal teas. Got green tea atm but not keen on it (this one's got jasmine in yuck! prefer normal).
A good healthy cold drink (and it's yum) is "v8). you can get it supermarkets etc. It's a veggie juice drink.

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 14:44

SweetFudge · 08/12/2004 15:06

Sorry to hear about your AF, Yingers.
Also, congratulations, Feelingverylucky. If you don't mind, I have a question about your inseminations -DH and I are using the same route re. known donor and inseminations in the back of vehicles. Did you store your donor's sperm in a jar kept in a warmed flask? Our donor was told by MNI(when we used them) to warm a flask beforehand and then store the sperm in a clean jar in said flask. Wondering if you do it differently and if so, would you be able to share info? I'm pressing our donor to start on zinc and so far, no luck.

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 15:34

Rudy - I don't mind camomile & limegrass, at a push the rasp and elderflower is it?

Morning all, sorry to hear about AF, Yingers. Congratulations Feelingvlucky. Sorry to see you are feeling low, cockenzie. Sorry if I missed anyone, have only had time to skim through thread.

Twiga · 08/12/2004 16:19

Hi Colin! Am assuming you're stateside, where abouts? Hope you're having a good day.

Cheer up Cokenzie {{{hugs}}}. In answer to your question I'm a committed Christian, have been since I was around 7/8 years old.

Twiga · 08/12/2004 16:20

Cockenzie, have just realised I've been constantly mispelling your chat name...oooops.....sorry!

hester · 08/12/2004 16:20

Feelingvlucky - I am so thrilled for you and your girlie! Grin It's so lovely to hear a home insemination success story - I demand a special delivery of babydust from you because I'm doing it the same way and need a bit of luck!

You and your dp must be having a lot of interesting emotions right now, when you had been expecting her to be the one to conceive. I know that by the time you hold your baby in your arms you will both feel that THIS is the baby you were meant to have.

Huge congratulations again. Let us know how you get on xxx

SweetFudge · 08/12/2004 16:24

Hi Cockenzie,
Sorry to hear you are feeling low.
Back of vehicles meaning inseminating myself using sperm from our known donor- much in the same way as Feelingverylucky has done. No quickies for dh and I after that!

SweetFudge · 08/12/2004 16:26

Hester, I've just scrolled further down the thread and seen your post about one of the secretaries at your work. It sounds awful. I hope she had extended family that can offer her partner and young children much support.

How are the inseminations, BTW?

hester · 08/12/2004 16:27

Rudy - interesting cycle you've had! Can only think you may have ovulated early. But your fertile period would have started some days before you ovulated, and that's when you started feeling 'in the mood'. Ovulation itself happens towards the end of your fertile period (about four days in, though it varies between women and sometimes between cycles) and once you have ovulated you only have a few hours to get the sperm in before the mucus changes and your cervix tightens up. that's why it's important to BD BEFORE you ovulate, because all through those fourish fertile days you can get sperm into the womb and it can wait there for your egg to be released.

I think you can only ovulate once.

You are correct, Twiga. I'm in a small town in Southern Oregon about 50 miles north of the California border. Hope your day is good, too.
