carrot juice? what's that actually like? I'll bare that in mind with the t and choc...... I have IBS at eth dr advised me key triggers can be.... caffiene, choc, orange juice?, wheat and dairy products, so I managed to cut everything out of my diet, (which he was pleased about) but when he mentioned stopping choc.... well, I'd rather have the worse bowel movemets goign that give up choc! :o (besides if was xmas and that's like asking a child to not ask for toys really isn't it!)

hester · 08/12/2004 12:45

Carrot juice is the chocolate of vegetable juices - mild, slightly sweet, milky. When I ordered one in the organic juice shop the other day the assistant said to me, slightly snottily, 'Staying in at the shallow end, I see' Grin

It's all part of my 'Don't-cut-out-anything-eat-more-of-everything' plan. I think that as long as I keep eating broccoli, fruit and carrot juice, I can eat as much chocolate as I like!

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 12:46

lol, I like ur logic, what do u eman the 'shallow' end? with the carrot juice?

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 12:47

hester · 08/12/2004 12:53

Just found out one of our secretaries has died, very suddenly.

I only knew her vaguely but feel so sorry for her family; she was in her mid-twenties, with two young children...

Sad
jingleballs · 08/12/2004 12:54

god, sorry hester, do u know what caused it?

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 12:57

just bd anyways?? my lass i would bed 10 times a day if i could.but dp finds it hard to keep up.hav to chase him around the house.the thing is (i havent been exactly open) but havent told hm that i am monitoring dates and times and ovulation and all that stuff (he would tell me to go and take a )so am only trying to charm him and get him in bd and jump on the big bear (he is twice my size) .but its so much stress that i cant take any more.i'll hav to tell him its team work now.

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 12:59

mid 2os and 2 children? bless them.thats not fair.what about the dad? yes do they know what caused it? sorry about those news

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 13:04

LMAO@ cockenzie!, luckily for me, my DH (bless him) could se I was down about TTC, (we're v v open with each other ... prob too much really) but anyhow, after he's had a long leave period he sits up all night, so he sleeps the following night to get up for work on the mon morning, ie no sleep sat night, early bed sun, work mon. during one of these occassions (and I was particually down) he sat up all night lookin up on the internet seeing if he could find any tips, then when I woke up in the morning he was full of ideas etc... and it's made him more involved in his own way (he's normally living on the computer!) lol.

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:07

Hi all

CD23 here so I'm now into the waiting game. Not sure when (if?) I O but possibly 2/3dpo. Have just ordered some cheapo early tests off medisave so I can at least go insane a little cheaper this month Grin

Tania - When I had my lap they found endo on my right side (where I'd had pain) which they lasered off. I got pg after 6 months - but 3 months seriously trying and the first month I got the O on persona (which is why I love it so much!) Op itself was pretty fine - just an afternoon job and then home. I did feel rough for a few days but then felt worse because I had taken too much nurofen (so watch out for that one!) I was in pain so took it but didn't realise that you should only take it for a few days as after that it can be the cause of stomach pain and then you can get into a vicious cycle of taking it to relieve the pain which it is causing. (stupid I know but you live and learn). Since starting periods after DS I have had a lot less pain but still some but this partly why I am desperate to ttc soon as I feel like I am racing it to get pg before it comes back! Good luck with your op - when is it?

All sympathy with DS crying. My DS is an angelic happy little soul all day and for the last 10nights has sobbed his heart out through the night. No idea what is wrong and just wish he could talk to me / I could explain to him. Anything! It's very hard and gets harder the less sleep you have. Am seriously considering checking into a hotel for one good night's sleep.

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:10

sorry hester - that's very sad.

jb - your DH sounds like a real sweetie (what's he doing in the army??? only kidding - don't want to start a controversial subject Grin)

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:14

so here's a question for all you fertility experts...In the past I have O on around CD20/21 which makes sense as my cycle is normally 34/35 days. This month I tried to monitor CM but didn't see any change at all. However, around CD10 - 14 I was v.v.v. horny and wanted to bd ALL THE TIME - we did as much as we could Blush although I felt that it was 'just for fun' iykwim. I've read since that you would expect to be horny around O. So, my question is - could I have O'd that early? And/or can you O more than once in a cycle? And whilst I'm at it - how long do you O for?

Enough questions I think! Any answers????

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 13:15

yes u must hav a nice relationship. my dp is angel too but he thinks doing those things that way is too clinical and u just take a chance.
however, when we tried for dd we did it every day mor and eve.and wabang!!

HellKat · 08/12/2004 13:24

Hiya rudy and cockenzie,
God hester, that's awful!! Just before xmas too. Really makes you think how lucky we are eh?
If it's any consolation rudy, i always get frisky around o time lol Wink. just think it's natures way of saying "come and get it" lol.

cockenzie · 08/12/2004 13:28

but say u feel fruity for 4 days.is there a particular day u would ov or do u need to bd on all those 4 days?

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:31

well that's what I thought hellkat but it is unusual for me to O that early - though knowing how weird and unpredictable our bodies are it wouldn't particularly surprise me. Though it would make my LP v.long - about 20 days - is that possible?

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:32

no idea cockenzie!

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 13:34

rudy - it's something he enjoys doing so thats good enough for me (besides he wanted to leave his mums! - this was the cheapest way!:o )
I always get really horney a few days before AF - no idea why, but it's really strong, normally CM feels like it's thinning as well at that time... any ideas? (don't normally get anything around OV time)

HellKat · 08/12/2004 13:34

I'm really bad with cycles and stuff. never monitored mine really (just had to make a note for past dr's of how many days a mth i didnt bleed). It's only since having ds this year that I've started to watch it and work out roughly when things happen.
God that looks so vague lol.
If anyone's good with when the best ttc is please let me. I'm such a newbie to this!

RudyDudy · 08/12/2004 13:36

no idea at all jb!! Sometimes I think the more I try to understand what is happening with my body the less I do!

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 13:36

right girls, i'm off to clean my house, then over to a buds for a coffee afternoon.. (tea!) Did u still want those patterns Hester?

Twiga · 08/12/2004 13:38

Hester that's rotten Sad

Tania, hope your ds feels better soon, lol x

jingleballs · 08/12/2004 13:38

lol, ahy, and reading stuff on the internet makes things soooo much worse! lol. (it's a nice idea but if we just let MN take her course.. we could all catch?)... na, all this TTC lark in it's own way is rather soothing, and 'normal' he he, i'll be lost when evenutally i'm not charting/using my persona!
