1DPO - Testing buddies? 😄

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is 1DPO today... I got a peak ovulation test on CD14 and CD15, today is CD16, so I am around 1DPO. We DTD CD13 & CD14, so I am hoping the sperm stuck around a couple of days!

Just wondering if anyone else is around the same dates as me and wants to chat during their TWW 🙂

I'm okay, period has been really heavy but is slowing down now.
I’m going to start ovulation tracking soon, not sure when to do it though?

@overthinkersanonnymus I've had the slightest bit of spotting today, I'm due on tomorrow so we'll see what happens! How are you?

@MrsLaura89 I would track from 2 days after your period, with my first I ovulated super early at 7 days after my period. I do it once a day in the morning first thing and when it gets darker do it twice a day. Hope this helps!?

@HallE21 I'm due on today and have been cramping since Sunday which is annoying!!

Confirmed bfn this morning so my plan is to just try and relax next cycle. I've drove myself mad this time xx

DP and I are going to try to be quite relaxed about it and just DTD as and when throughout December, I am trying very hard not to be obsessive!

@overthinkersanonnymus im exactly the same! Due on today, had the tiniest bit of spotting and cramping over the weekend and a BFN this morning.

I've decided to tempt fate and wear white underwear today as we all know AF can't resist white underwear 😂

@overthinkersanonnymus I'm okay, coming to the end of my period now so I’ve started tracking ovulation. I’m NOT being crazy this month and testing early. I’ve decided it’s not fair on me or hubby. Really hoping for a little Christmas miracle!

@MrsLaura89 I'm really going to try and calm down next cycle. The compulsive testing and hours I've spent looking through pictures and the internet has been crazy!! I really want to wait until 12 dpo next time and if it's bfn, just accept it. Hopefully Christmas and new year will distract us!!

The only way I can describe how mental I was is like a gambling addiction maybe? Like every negative I got, I thought "do another one in a few hours and it'll be positive" and I'd do another, then the cycle would repeat!!

Honestly I've never been so glad to AF so I can get off the ride lol xx

@overthinkersanonnymus this is a really good way of describing it, I would agree that I was doing the same!
I felt relieved that AF arrived too, with all the bleeding/spotting I had it was really torture.
My husband says there is no rush, why do I need it to happen straight away but he doesn’t see it from a woman’s POV really..just hoping he’s up for DTD a little more as he can be a bit funny in the evenings due to being tired from work.

I'll be working a lot in my fertile window so I'm just going to go with the flow. If I can't be bothered then I'm not DTD. I was sure I'd missed it this month anyway and it didn't stop me from acting crazy lol.

I'm 35 now though so I am concerned that I'm running out of time. I was always on the fence about being ok with not having children but as I get older, the less ok I am with it. I suppose that's the luxury of being young! You think you've got time but it creeps up on you

Can I join? 8dpo today, caved & did a cheapie test which was obviously negative. I know it’s probably too early but still feeling a bit deflated! I should have waited but the days are going by so slow & I feel like I just want an answer either way.

Doesn’t help that I work from home & work’s quietening down so when my DC or DH aren’t home during the day, I don’t have a lot to distract me. Feeling a bit obsessive!

hey, I’m nervous! I’m due to ovulate around the 17th and I’m working tomorrow night and the night after so it might mess me up.
My tests are getting darker and my temperature is going up so I want to DTD tonight!
Trouble is, husband doesn’t always feel like it and he was in a foul mood yesterday so we didn’t do it. He also doesn’t understand the female cycle and the importance of timing 😂
Going to beg tonight! Might see if he’ll be up for a quick one before work tomorrow too 😂😂😂

I already know im going to be acting exactly the same as I did last month 🤣 but maybe a little more relaxed (I hope). I should be ovulating around the 20th so it would be lovely for a NYE bfp but im not going to get too hung up on it.

Hopefully the busyness of Christmas will keep me distracted. It's when I'm in work (because im so bored) that it gets to me. Too much thinking time and time dragging!

I'm not testing like I did last month, it made me crazy..more than usual 😅
I have just started using the ovulation sticks this month out of curiosity, I’ve used one this morning and it’s darkening more so, we DTD last night but I just know I’ll peak at work and miss my window 😞 bloody typical. I won’t be testing at work though, that would torture me knowing I’m stuck there without taking my opportunity.
What do you do for work?

@MrsLaura89 I wouldn't worry about missing the peak. You get the peak 24hrs before you ovulate any way so as long as you're DTD in the days leading up to it, and just after, you're covered.

It's just an indicator, not an exact science.

I’m new to the whole tracking thing, we didn’t try for the first 2 so now that we are trying it will probably not be so easy!
I worry that I’m now 3 years older than last time, I’ve had covid and vaccines and just changes to general health that my body may not be able to do what it did before.

My fertile window is starting on Friday, so lots of DTD over the weekend... Quite sad it will be too early to test on Christmas day 😂

I'm glad to hear that everyone seems to be in good spirits! I have decided that I really need to calm down with the early cycle however I am curious to see whether the app that I use is accurate to gauge when I'm ovulating so would like to use ovulation strips... Can anyone recommend any? I was thinking of using the clear blue digital ones as its a clear answer instead of looking at lines (I do that enough trying to find a BFP!) but has anyone here used them?

We're having a bash at the SMEP this month so I'll be DTD tonight, Friday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday and then maybe Thursday (if I can be arsed) god it looks a lot now I've written it down 🤣🤣
