1DPO - Testing buddies? 😄

Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone else is 1DPO today... I got a peak ovulation test on CD14 and CD15, today is CD16, so I am around 1DPO. We DTD CD13 & CD14, so I am hoping the sperm stuck around a couple of days!

Just wondering if anyone else is around the same dates as me and wants to chat during their TWW 🙂

Hi, I am 1 dpo. Only dtd 2 and 3 days before ov as dp got serious flu day after and i isolated him in his room 🤣. Didn’t want the kids catching it so the chances of me conceiving this month is not as high as I would have hoped. This will be baby number 3. I’ve had a few loses in last two years. Took a break for 6 months. Now much 5 of trying again. Not using ov sticks or planning too much.

@Cossete thankyou! I will have a look into these on my next cycle if I have to, my husband got some from boots today.

@overthinkersanonnymus I'm going to try to make it to the day my period is due, but we'll see how that goes 😂 What is SMEP?

In order to ensure sperm and egg meet, you will “try” every other day starting on the eighth day of your cycle. The timing of this is based on how long sperm live, realistically a few days under ideal conditions. On the tenth day of your cycle you will begin daily testing with OPKs (ovulation prediction kits))* and upon receiving a positive OPK you will “try” 3 more days in a row. Skip one day and give it one more try.

@overthinkersanonnymus ah okay, I've never heard of that before! I've just read it out to my husband and his response was "can't we just do it every day?" 😂 I have explained that it can lower his sperm count but I'm not going to say no to DTD if we're both up for it but it's the wrong day.

Hi girls. Where are we all up to in this months cycle?

I'm coming up to my usual ovulation day (should be this coming Tuesday) and not a drop of ewcm in site and the most negative of negative opk 😩 they're as whit as my hcg tests !!

hope I'm not having an anovulatory cycle. I'll be fuming lol

I highly doubt that we will fall this month as husband didn’t want to do the deed yesterday and according to my app that’s when I would have been ovulating. Maybe tonight he will want to but according to my opk sticks I’m out as they aren’t getting darker anymore 😒

To make it worse my sister in law has come over and I know they are trying and she said she took a test a couple weeks ago that was neg but she’s had sore boobs and not sure when her period is due. I gave her a test and bing! Postive. So happy for her but mega jealous.

It’s my work do tonight and I’ve decided not to go. I feel like my husband just doesn’t get it, he said we fell easy with the other 2 so just chill but I’m more aware of when things are happening and if we don’t have sex it won’t happen ever!!!! Grrrrrrr!

These men ay!! If only we didn’t need to rely on them! My partner got really ill with the WORST flu around it’s called MAN flu. According to him it’s worse than any flu I’ve ever had; right in my ov day!!
We managed to dtd 2 days before but that’s it.

These men are useless! It makes me sad that more than likely I’ll be getting my period between Christmas and new year and it’ll be another month until anything happens 😪
I wish he’d understand that we can only get pregnant at certain times in the month, sometimes I just think he’s stupid.

Well my Ewcm has kicked in but DP is thoroughly disabled with his back so I'm definitely not going to be conceiving this month. Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to have a relaxing Christmas and new year with out compulsive testing and symptom spotting lol

Have a drink and celebrate this year, I think I’ll be doing the same.
I couldn’t even tell you about CM changes as I’m wet all month long and it always seems about the same 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m hoping for a miracle tbh, I don’t think it will happen but I’m crossing my fingers anyway!

I feel like I’m turning into a crazy person again. Just been for a wee and wiped and had discharge with pink in it.
Overthinking has kicked in… last month had I spotting for agggeeeeesssssss but I can help think of the what ifs.
I'll have to wait and see if it carries on but I’ll test on Christmas Day just to make sure as I’ll be around 10 days PO according to the app I use but I think I ovulated sooner.
I hate this 😪

I'm literally due to ovulate tomorrow so I'm testing on opk every 4 hours!!

I promised myself I'd behave this month but 🤷🏻‍♀️

i don’t want to get my hopes up!
I think Christmas Day might be too early to test but part of my wants to just incase.

i didn’t get really dark opk’s because I worked 2 nights shifts so it messed up my tracking and sleeping etc but I did check my temp when I noticed my LH rising and it had gone up so this is why I think I ovulated sooner.

I keep getting twinges and period aches but after last month I’m terrified of being hopeful 🫠

Just keeping track on here like a bit of a diary...

Sun CD 9 (empty circle digital, negative strip) DTD

Mon CD 10 (empty circle digital, negative strip) DTD

Tues CD 11 (flashing smiley, negative strip am&pm) DTD

Weds CD 12 (flashing smiley, negative strip am)

Will test again this evening and hoping to DTD every day until a static smiley and / or blazing positive strip plus DTD one day after that too.

Hopefully it's tomorrow so we don't have pressure of a schedule over Christmas especially as we'll have to navigate timings around visitors!

This is our 12th cycle and the 6th of tracking ovulation, but the first month (due to work trips etc) we should be able to DTD every day for fertile week and hoping it will make a difference...

I can’t convince my husband into that much sex! I’m 100% sure if we did it everyday for a week I’d have a baby or 5 inside me right now.
We are trying for a baby but my trying and his trying is different. He thinks leaving it in a couple times will do the job 😂
Obviously if it happens this month I’ll eat my words but I’m not expecting it.

Haha I know what you mean think he and I both want a static asap so we don't have to DTD every day for loads longer, as it feels like so much pressure!

Last month I went from empty circle to static smiley in one day so missed out on some pre ovulation days and I was determined not to do it again this month so started early but typical this month we'll probably have loads of flashing days which means the earlier times won't have had much effect at all!

Hopefully that won't be the case and I'll get a static tomorrow as we're already pretty exhausted 😂

I do think they say whether you DTD daily or every other day it doesn't make too much difference but I feel like as we've been unlucky so far, it's worth a go every day in my fertile window this month.

I've had my day 3 bloods now, then semen analysis coming up for him in a few weeks as well as my day 21 bloods. So at least I feel like we're doing something proactive.

@monsteramunch is this your first baby to be?
I sincerely hope that this month is your month and your tests don’t give you bad results. I suppose if something is picked up at least you both will know and can make a plan from there.

Yes TTC #1 and I'm 35 so do need to have these tests to check what's happening both sides. It's a bit scary as you don't want bad answers but also feel a bit at sea if they say there's no reason it isn't happening!

Trying really hard to stay positive, last month I found especially tough and felt very very bleak. Nearly spiralled which isn't good due to previous issues with depression but now we have a plan and are giving it our best go this month I feel a little more in control at least.

AF due (on paper!) around 10th Jan so ages to wait but I'm not testing early this month, it's just too hard to see the blank spaces

Ah yes you have a little wait yet then.
My cycle was a lot longer last month and I had lots of spotting from the middle of it so when I did start bleeding properly it was much later than usual amount of days. My worry is that I’ve completely missed ovulation and in actual fact my period could be starting.
I’ve had some on and off cramps. Can’t see anymore blood at the moment but I’m going to pop a panty liner on and observe.

I’m feeling so stressed all of a sudden and emotional! I did have a peak on my ovulation sticks but like I said in other posts I couldn’t track properly for 2 days because of work.

I really want a glass on wine 😂

I think I ovulated 15-16dpo and I'm 18dpo today so 2-3 dpo I think! 🙂 I did use opks and they was rising but I think I missed my surge as all tests have been very low ever since and I felt the usual ovulation pains and ewcm so fingers crossed! 🤞🙂
We only dtd once and it was on the night my tests were at their highest x
