Hey hey, making this thread to lead on from last months. I’m 1 or 2 dpo today and I’m going to try and not symptom spot this month!! Also going to try my best to not test until 12dpo at the earliest!

what DPO are you all?

@PPop what?! I have so much empathy for you, I think I’d feel a bit emotional having a date in mind and then it being pushed back. I’m awaiting spontaneous labour and not knowing if it will be this evening or in four weeks is tough.

So strange isn’t it. I can’t remember not being pregnant most days but then I also can’t believe how close we all are to having our bubs.

Thank you! We had been on the 37 week track until yesterday and it threw me into such a tailspin! I've been massively anxious and trying to just move along with it. Went shopping today, dented my car and struggling to waddle around so I'm living the dream 😂

When do they offer intervention to you if you haven't gone into spontaneous labour?

Yes I do miss having a cocktail, mocktails just don't hit the same!

Mortima · 29/07/2023 08:49

Congratulations @ScaredSally and @MillieKitty ! Hope you're both recovering well.

Sorry that they've changed the goalposts for you @PPop, I think I'd feel pretty frustrated too to have the plan changed at this point. I think my last midwife appointment said they would offer induction from 38 weeks here (which seems to be massively jumping the gun to me, if there's no apparent reason for an induction??), but I think different trusts will vary.

I think we're quite close in due dates @Wrenegade, hope you're doing well. It's such a strange time waiting and not knowing if it will be today or in another month potentially.

I'm 37 +1 today and definitely hoping to go full term as I still feel less prepared than I wanted to be by now, and also feeling grateful that I'm not feeling too uncomfortable and have had a pretty easy pregnancy after the first 18 weeks or so. It feels so strange knowing that life will change forever in such a short space of time - I'm trying to enjoy this last bit as much as possible, but one more week of work to go.

How are you all getting on? Has there been any new arrivals? 👶🏻

Baby girl is five weeks old now! Time really does fly

Baby girl was born on Tuesday 27/08 I'm besotted and sleep deprived from staring at her 😂

Hope everyone is doing well! It's madness that we all went through this together!!

Wrenegade · 01/09/2023 03:47

@PPop congratulations on your baby girl, hope everything went smoothly for you and you get more sleep soon 💕

@MillieKitty wow! Time really has flown. How are you getting on? Our baby girl arrived two weeks ago on the 17th August and has already gained a pound and almost out of her new born clothes 🥹

Fingerscrossed2023 · 01/09/2023 09:12

Hi team, have just read through this whole thread today. Was so cool to see the TTC and then the BFP now to you with your babies! So lovely. @PPop did your sister ever get pregnant?

MillieKitty · 01/09/2023 12:16

@Fingerscrossed2023 aw it's definitely very surreal reading it back! Congratulations @PPop and @Wrenegade ! I love how we all have had girls 😂

PPop · 02/09/2023 01:01

@Fingerscrossed2023 sadly not, I haven't heard from her still. I do so wish she has a baby even though I fear things won't be the same again.

How is everyone finding motherhood?

And more so how are you finding your body after carrying the little ones? I am finding my tummy odd to look at currently 😂

ScaredSally · 02/09/2023 09:00

@PPop i am exhausted! Just hit the 8 week sleep regression. He woke every 60-80 minutes for a 20minute feed overnight and is refusing to nap during the day unless on the move in his pram/sling... it's a lot! But wouldn't change it for the world

I get what you mean about the tummy. My figure has definitely changed. My hips are so much wider and my rib cage /chest too. Just take some getting use to I guess

MillieKitty · 18/10/2023 20:08

How's everyone doing?

Baby is 12 weeks old today, how time flies

Wrenegade · 18/10/2023 21:56

Hi @MillieKitty
how are you and baby getting on, happy 12 weeks!
baby is nine weeks tomorrow - I feel like we’re getting a bit more settled now and the colic phase is coming to an end.

HJA87 · 19/10/2023 09:51

Congrats on everyone’s babies. My baby is 11 weeks on Sunday. It feels like time is flying but at the same time it feels like this thread was startled a looong time ago! X

PPop · 19/10/2023 22:41

It's mad to think that mine is 7 weeks I was behind everyone else I think!
She's so much fun I love watching her learn about the world! Though the days are long and a bit lonely!

MillieKitty · 20/10/2023 08:30

@Wrenegade good thank you! Although I am on my first proper period and i cannot believe how heavy it is! I haven't even been able to leave the house and I am back in the adult nappies, no one prepared me for this! 😆 I'm glad the colic has settled for your baby, it's awful when they're uncomfortable and in pain

@PPop the days can definitely get lonely, have you booked onto any baby classes? They're a great way to meet friendly faces ❤️ I've been good at getting out for walks however the rain makes it hard now! It's non stop today 🌧️

@HJA87 that's amazing 11 weeks! I feel like it's gone so fast but slow at the same time , my girl has changed so much already

PPop · 20/10/2023 09:26

@MillieKitty yes we have been doing lots of walks, I swear the dogs have started rolling their eyes when they see their leads 😂
I've done a couple classes got one this morning but I'm just a bit quiet and don't know how to start conversations at them which is so silly!!
I fear you could spend all your money on classes though it soon adds up so I am trying to do different things daily 😂

Oh the period is rough, we didn't manage to bf she had latch issues and I had supply problems so I got mine so quickly it was horrid! Lasted 2 weeks just ended now!

PPop · 28/05/2024 21:28

Dunno if anyone still checks this but I hope you are all doing well!!

Wrenegade · 28/05/2024 21:45

@PPop just got the notification! How are you?

I am doing really well thank you! How are you? Little one is 9 months tomorrow, she's been a brilliant little sausage so far I love being a mum!! I never want to return to work lol! Though I do find it lonely sometimes I must admit!

I’m so glad you’re doing well. I could have written exactly this. I have a meeting with my manager tomorrow and I want to delay it as long as possible. Although I do think returning to work will be good for me in the long run because it has been lonely. I just don’t want this precious time to go so quickly.

Mortima · 03/06/2024 09:05

So lovely to read about everyone's babies - the TWW thread feels both very recent, and a lifetime ago at the same time.
I had a baby boy on 1st September (2 weeks late), so he's now just turned 9 months, and is a delight most of the time. I'm also really not looking forward to going back to work, it feels like mat leave has gone far too quickly, although it definitely hasn't been easy at times. I've found baby groups to be a bit of a saviour, but I'm lucky that there is loads to choose from near me.

MillieKitty · 03/06/2024 12:05

So nice to hear from you all! I've returned to work now and it was a bit weird but it's going well, I went back part time though which really helps, little one is ten months, where does the time go 😭

PPop · 17/07/2024 10:25

It's so lovely that everyone is doing so well!! We are currently going through a food issue where she is a tricky feeder I think it's normal and linked to teething so hopefully that doesn't last too long... Grin

Wrenegade · 19/11/2024 19:59

How is everyone getting on? I can’t believe it has been two years since we were all here eagerly testing and hoping. We’ve begun discussing TTC number two but will probably wait till the spring, just wondering if anyone else has plans or is expecting again yet?

ScaredSally · 20/11/2024 06:48

Hey! Can't believe it's been so long! How's your little one doing? Toddler life is such a whirlwind but the best kind! He's such a little chatter box it melts my heart seeing him grow everyday but he takes so much of my time there's no way I could handle another haha
