Hi ladies

I have a short LP, about 9-10 days. Anyone else in the same boat? Have you managed to get pregnant with a short LP? Any advice would be very welcome!

Ermmmmmm....

So a bit of bleeding yesterday as I described below. But I couldn't help but test this morning... anyone else see what I think I see?!

(I stupidly scratched the first one in my excitement. So I’ve done another using same wee.)

Short luteal phase?
Mugascauld · 03/11/2022 10:09

@EmmRach I definitely see lines in both! With my first baby this is what my first positive looked like, very light on cheapies got progressively darker each day. I did an FRER after getting the slight positives on cheapies and it was very clearly positive! I’m so hopeful and excited for you 😊 how are you feeling? Has the bleeding stopped?

GabbyGal · 03/11/2022 10:17

@EmmRach Definite lines there! The spotting could be implantation bleeding?

EmmRach · 03/11/2022 10:18

Thank you!! I'm very cautiously trying not to get excited. It's just every difficult not to!! That's good to know your tests were the same. Thank you
I have clear blue that I'll try tomorrow. See what that says!! I might even Amazon some FRER you know... 🙈

Yes still bleeding. It's very light, lighter than yesterday and It's brown today. I'm 10DPO today. And AF was due yesterday.

EmmRach · 03/11/2022 10:20

Thanks @GabbyGal - that's what I am hoping!!! Is 10DPO right for implantation bleeding?

Just very cautious as with a short LP I think we're more likely a candidate for Chemicals?!

Mugascauld · 03/11/2022 10:39

@EmmRach totally understand being cautious about getting too excited. I didn't experience it myself but I think implantation bleeding is common around 10DPO. I think 9/10DPO is one of the most common times for implantation, so it makes sense. Fingers and toes crossed for you x

EmmRach · 03/11/2022 10:46

Eeeek ok. That is also reassuring to hear. Thanks so much. I'll be sure to keep you updated

GabbyGal · 03/11/2022 11:38

@EmmRach Yes I think it happens around then or when AF is due so many people assume it is AF. I had it on my first pregnancy and assumed it was AF but it only lasted a couple of days and then I got a BFP!

Fingers crossed for you!🤞🏻🤞🏻

I have had my usual day 7/8 dpo spotting
super sad about it. 😞
it’s actually a bit more red than my normal pinky discharge, despite being on Letrozole/ trigger shot and high dose progesterone this month
lost as to how to fix this issue.
i guess try again next month and speak with consultant again.

hoping everyone else has a better cycle!

EmmRach · 03/11/2022 15:06

@Jendy87 😔 oh no! I'm so sorry you're feeling sad. I bet with all the new things you're trying this cycle you probably felt quite hopeful. So it must be extra gutting.
Definitely a re-group with the consultant needed. Sending positive vibes!

Jendy87 · 03/11/2022 15:14

Thanks so much for your support x😘

Jsh125 · 03/11/2022 19:23

@EmmRach I definitely see something there without squinting at all 😊. Got all my fingers crossed for you. Hopefully the bleeding stops & it's just implantation bleeding.

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 06:31

Update as promised! Still bleeding this morning. But only a smidge. And my line on my cheapy is darker (yesterdays included for reference). Plus got a fairly good line on a clear blue. So all pointing in the right direction… but I’m still cautious!

Short luteal phase?
Mugascauld · 04/11/2022 07:05

@EmmRach that’s great! Definitely a darker line in the second one! Have you told your partner yet?

I got a blazing positive OPK this morning! But my MIL is staying with us at the moment, gonna need to get creative😂 it’s great news though because it hopefully means I’ll ovulate on time this month rather than very late (CD22+) like my previous cycles!

Mugascauld · 04/11/2022 07:10

@Jendy87 i missed your response yesterday, so sorry that you’re feeling down😔 it must be so disappointing. This TTC process can be so tough. I hope your consultant can provide some more guidance for you and you can always vent here if you need to!x

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 07:25

@Mugascauld
Yeah, I wanted to do some nice 'reveal' type thing. But what I actually did was shouted him into the bathroom as soon as I saw the faint line yesterday and said.... "errr is that a line?" - not really what I had envisioned. Haha but these things never go like in the movies do they. He is being super level headed at the moment though. He's really trying his best for us not to get excited just yet. Keeps telling me off if I say something about being pregnant. Which I know in my heart is right. But it's so hard not to get carried away!!

Stealth DTD...!! Good luck with that. Hope you don't have an old bed hahaha!! Hoping that this is the one for you!! Great news you O had come forward a bit!! Fingers crossed for a decent Lp for you!!

GabbyGal · 04/11/2022 07:43

@EmmRach It’s looking good, congratulations!

I’ve got a BFN this morning but on the upside I am 11DPO so have added 2 days to my LP.

EmmRach · 04/11/2022 07:46

Thanks @GabbyGal 🥰
That's excellent news about an 11 day LP! That's a great success!! All the stuff online says 11 is sufficient!! And if AF hasn't arrived yet... you never know.

Mugascauld · 04/11/2022 08:06

@GabbyGal 11 days is great! I’m hoping mine will have lengthened this month too with my (hopefully) earlier ovulation.

@EmmRach i was the same way with my first! Showed my husband when it was a tiny squinty line and he couldn’t see it at all. Was a complete anti climax! Doesn’t matter though, there will be plenty of exciting moments for you over the coming months hopefully!!

GabbyGal · 04/11/2022 20:05

AF has arrived to ruin my weekend so I’m definitely out this month. BUT I’m happy my LP was slightly longer this month and I have an appointment with my GP on Monday to discuss my thyroid and will raise my LP with her too.

JuniperandI · 05/11/2022 07:42

All this lovely talk about longer LPs! I started taking morning primrose oil and had EWCM from the day after my period finished. Keeping an eye on it with OPKs and started BD much sooner than the last 2 cycles - fingers crossed for all of us! 🤞🤞

Morning all, new week!
How is everyone getting on?
I'm gradually getting darker tests. 14DPO today. Still tentative about getting too excited, but feeling slightly more confident each day.

BCxx · 07/11/2022 19:16

Has anyone taken agnus castus? It seems to be get such mixed reviews as if there is a big negative to taking it.. I’m 1dpo.. is it worth a try in the tww or should I just leave it and see what happens? Should hopefully get a few extra days this cycle anyway since ovulation was early 🤞🏼

@EmmRach such good news 🎉 will you go for an early scan or wait?

EmmRach · 08/11/2022 07:37

@BCxx glad to hear about your early ovulation! What CD did it fall on?

I didn't try it, like you I had heard good and not so good. So I was going to wait till I was running out of things to try.

Yeah, I've booked in for a 7week scan on the 24th Nov. Its potentially too early. As because of my short cycles my due date as per ovulation puts be back a whole week as to my due date from the first day of my period. It's cancellable until two days before incase the worst happens. But we booked for then as we want to tell the in-laws on their silver wedding anniversary which is the 25th Nov. So fingers crossed they can find a heart beat - if I even make it that far. Let's see!!

I'm glad @DesertSnow is no where to be seen. Means she's enjoying her minimoon and hopefully baby making!! 😍 but I can't wait to hear about the wedding!

Mugascauld · 08/11/2022 09:02

@EmmRach thats so exciting! It would be amazing if a heartbeat could be seen then. With my son we had an early scan and saw a heartbeat at 6weeks+2 so it is possible!

@BCxx i haven’t taken it so can’t offer any insight unfortunately.

Im either 3 DPO or I haven’t ovulated yet, not sure🙃 I definitely tried to ovulate and Natural Cycles thinks I did based on temps but i think it’s too good to be true. I also can’t always trust my temps as I’m still up in the night a lot with my son. I think maybe I tried to, but failed, and my body will try again in the next couple of days which will result in my usual CD22 ovulation. I just have to wait and see!
