Hi all,

I’m just starting my TWW and planning on testing around 29 October (unless period comes sooner which it did last month!)

Anyone else planning to test around Halloween?

@ChloeN It's nice to know you aren't the only one, since TTC my social media is full of TTC content, reels about pregnancy tests, miscarriages, infertility etc etc, I don't think It's helping my MH atm, also lots of pregnancy announcements and baby posts. I think I'm going to take a step back from social media and mumsnet for a little while. Going to delete a couple of the fertility apps and just keep one. I dropped BBTing last month and that was nice but I don't know if I can stop OPK, think it"s a control thing. HOWEVER I will not be BDing twice a day this time and giving myself a UTI!!šŸ˜‚Think we will just try every other day maybe. I'm going to get back in the gym, concentrate on getting as healthy as I can, start reading again at bed time and watching TV rather then scrolling MN and obsessive googling!! I need to try and keep a positive mindset.

ChloeN · 01/11/2022 16:59

@Roxybabe its so overwhelming isn’t it, I need to start liking different things on social media so I get different content keep coming up🤣 I’m defo not dtd as much this month either, last month was too much šŸ˜… hopefully we can stop obsessing and it might work out for usšŸ¤žšŸ»ā¤ļø

Quick update from me.
I have an underactive thyroid, diagnosed 2 years ago,
I've had a bad headache for 2 weeks now, and the really light bleeding I thought might be an IB- turns out I'm now massively overdosing on thyroid medication... so my healthy lifestyle is actually having a positive effect on my thyroid and I no longer need the higher doses.
I have desperately wanted to heal my thyroid, and somehow it's happening slowly,
Very happy girl here.
Overactive thyroid causes headaches and light, irregular periods!

Still on this thread as I feel invested in everyone's journey 🄰 congratulations on everyone's BFP and sorry for those that have been visited by AF.

I'm feeling much more positive that I've had a fresh start and am on to the next cycle. Would be lovely to start a new thread for the next TWW with those of us who are on the next cycle. You're all so supportive and have helped me out massively xx

Roxybabe · 01/11/2022 18:58

@ChloeN hopefully!! thats what they say! just relax and it'll happen...

I'm going to take a break from these threads until my next tww. See you all on the next thread. Congrats to BFPs and hugs to everyone else!

I'm sorry to all who are feeling down. šŸ˜”wishing you all the bestā¤ļø

@Toastyteacakes mine is similar this morning. I think I'm happy to let the doctor know today

birdboo · 02/11/2022 10:11

Cycle day 27 (my average date for my period. My cycle can go 26 to 35 recently) Flo still predicts I have 2 days before I'm due;⁷ still have symptoms and increased discharge. No pms but a bfn with a first response.

Feeling deflated. I really thought the symptoms were it this time.

Billyv · 02/11/2022 12:23

Ahhhh lovely @SmurfStar @Toastyteacakes best of luck for the next 9m x

Spotting and headache here today so thinking AF is on the way. Sad not to have a BFP but hey it's my first cycle off the pill, so I'm mainly pleased I apparently ovulated and have a decent LP. Roll on next month šŸ™‚

Billyv · 02/11/2022 12:24

Best of luck to everyone else on the thread too, hopefully next month is the lucky one x

Roxybabe · 02/11/2022 14:07

Feeling so much better today, I think the day AF shows is always the worst. I thought I would make a thread for next month as I guess we all have fairly similar cycles if we are testing around the same time? I'll call it 'end of November testers' or something if you would like to join. Fingers crossed for a little August baby for us all!

Congrats @SmurfStar and @Toastyteacakes ... wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months!

Roxybabe · 02/11/2022 14:18

I started a new thread ladies, if anyone would like to join for the next cycle. its called 'end of november testers (ttc august babies)'.

not sure how to add the link.

Awww that's exactly what I was thinking when my AF showed - "Well I guess it won't be a July baby after all". Could do without a September one cos that's my birthday.

Roxybabe · 02/11/2022 14:52

@WednesdaysChild11 my husband wants a September baby, he says thats when all the pro athletes are born šŸ˜‚ not sure how true that is…

I don’t care, I just want a baby! Had my heart set in a little spring baby but I guess you can’t choose!! If only you could!

I mean it wasn't true in my case šŸ˜‚

I don't care either really. Would just love some good news lol. Whenever they are born it is special. I was looking at birthstones yesterday in a jewellers for a friend's upcoming birthday and I was thinking I wonder what my (hopefully) future child will be. I've got a thing about birthstones lol I think they're lovely. x

Roxybabe · 02/11/2022 15:15

@WednesdaysChild11 awww me too, I have a birthstone ring from Pandora! I always wear it! I always look up the due date and see what star sign they would be and who they might share a birthday with!

Me too! šŸ¤¦šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø In terms of ppl who have been close to me throughout my life whether immediate family, loves, close friends..

I've had Jan, Feb, Mar, Apr, May, Jun, July, August and September covered!

October and November hardly have any significance to me and there is literally nothing with December, in fact I struggle to think if I even know anyone with a birthday in December. So I think I secretly think it would be nice to have a baby born in one of these months towards the end of the year. Which means I best get cracking in the new year! Lol

Roxybabe · 02/11/2022 15:57

@WednesdaysChild11 haha I do the same.

I have noone with September, November and July so those months would be nice! But also the sooner the better so praying for an august! Although I do already have 2 nieces in August so if this month doesn't work out, September would be great!

WednesdaysChild11 · 02/11/2022 16:31

@Roxybabe fingers crossed for August for you then šŸ¤ž my Grandad was August. He's no longer with us but was a massive part of my life. It'd be nice to have an August baby for the big void he's left behind 😢 but hey I'm getting off track..

Carly2014 · 02/11/2022 16:52

How is everyone keeping? I have had 24/7 nausea until today. It went away around noon and now paranoid something is wrong! I also have a weird lower right pain but I have been told I have a cyst so maybe it’s just that.

I also had an EPU appointment yesterday where they took my bloods and gave me anti sickness and blood thinners. A bit scared to take them but supposedly I’m high risk as auto immune. Has anyone taken them before? I also haven’t taken the anti sickness yet because I only felt sick during the middle of the night and first thing this morning.

Billyv · 02/11/2022 17:59

Hi @Carly2014 no experience with the blood thinners or anti sickness meds, but I wouldn't worry too much about sickness coming and going, that's normal. Random niggly pains are normal too as everything stretches and gets ready for the baby growing x

Carly2014 · 02/11/2022 18:03

Thanks for letting me know. As it’s my first time I’m just overly anxious. I am 5 weeks tomorrow.

ChipAndDip · 02/11/2022 18:07

Thanks for starting a new thread @Roxybabe!

Congrats to those with a BFP, so lovely to see some good news on the thread!šŸ¾ Wishing you a happy and healthy 9 months.

And sorry to those feeling down about AF. I ended up spotting for a full week before it turned into a full flow yesterday (had a couple of false starts!) so I’ve been trying to keep myself occupied and not think about it. But now at least I can start fresh with this new cycle 😊
