Halloween testers 🎃

Hi all,

I’m just starting my TWW and planning on testing around 29 October (unless period comes sooner which it did last month!)

Anyone else planning to test around Halloween?

Well there was a bit of a performance on Saturday night with two cheap Tesco tests 3 hours apart. The first one was a bit of a disaster, I didn't have much of a flow but the control registered and a very faint line appeared but then disappeared after a few minutes. I don't know if this was an evap line 😔. The 2nd one just came up negative but it was very late in the day at that point. So at that point I just decided to leave it and wait.....

Fingers crossed for you not long to go now...

Ah thanks @ChloeN it's so long since I've had a proper off the pill cycle I can't remember what is normal for me...

@WednesdaysChild11 I will, not feeling hopeful, I think a BFN at 13/14dpo is pretty definite 😩 would rather AF show! Feel like I can’t stop thinking about it!

Short LP here too. I'm on another thread about it that's pretty active. It's called 'Short luteal phase?' Lots of LP chat but also some lovely success stories.

AF due tomorrow for me. But I've had a bit of a weird cycle, and I'm not exactly sure what's happening. No symptoms of either AF or pregnancy as it stands. Have tested and BFN. So I guess I'll just have to wait!

Well turns out I was very wrong ! I tested this morning with a FRER which had a faint line and then I tested with a CB digital and it came up Pregnant. I can’t believe it at all !!!

@EmmRach how many days is your LP? Since charting mine seem to be mainly 11 days with a few 12 days thrown in, I’m not sure what is considered short as different websites say difference things, my apps tell me my LP is normal so hopefully it’s fine. But some sites say 11 is short. But I’m currently 13/14DPO and waiting on AF so if she comes tomorrow at least thats a 13/14 day LP. One positive from this cycle I guess.

@Roxybabe my LP has been 8 days fairly consistently for months now. Which is too short from what I've read.
Maybe this month I might manage bit longer. AF due tomorrow and not feeling my usual rubbishness. But a bit of a weird month with my temps as I've had Covid. So I'm not sure what's really going on this cycle.

13/14 LP would be brill wouldn't it.

@EmmRach I don’t know too much about it but from the little I hve googled it seems as though some women dont have problems falling with a shorter LP and I think there are things you can do to lengthen it. I might ask my doctor. Have you already got children, I have read some women say there LP was shorter after having their baby. I’d be happy with 12/13!

So don't know what's going on with me. I thought it was AF, but it was just brown spotting. Not had days of brown spotting before a period before. It's normally red then brown.
Hoping it's nothing sinister! AF due yesterday according to Glow app.

@Roxybabe no, this is my first. I am a bit older though at 35. I do wonder if that's why.
I'm taking high dose vitamin c and B vitamins which is supposed to try lengthen your cycle. This is the first month I've done that. But I've also had Covid so I think I'll have to wait till my next cycle to see the true effects of the vitamins. I know there are some other things you can take like vitex Angus castus / maca root but i think they can change your cycle and as I'm regular (just with a short LP) I don't want to try those until I'm out of other options.

Any sign of AF today?

@EmmRach no AF yet. Just got a faint positive on a FRER. I’m in shock!

@Roxybabe you could have implanted a bit later on? HCG only shows up once you've implanted. And then doubles from what I've read? Try again tomorrow am? Keep us updated. Fingers crossed for a better line on your next test

how many days DPO are you?

@Hopefull1981 I’m around 14DPO, 2 days late for AF. I’m worried this isn’t going to end well, the line is faint for 14DPO. I’m hoping I ovulated a couple days later then I thought or HCG is just a little slow. Guess time will tell, but thank you.
