@mummatara when you go through something like this, irrespective of ttc again, you just want to feel normal again so you can reset. It's the not knowing that becomes so tiresome! How's the bleeding now? Sorry, I just re-read my message. He said to dtd every 2/3 days (and not everyday as that doesn't allow enough time for spermies to regenerate). He's having the frag test done just to see if it's anything to do with him having poo sperm. I guess our tests are looking at the bigger (scarier) picture of whether we will look into IVF as I started this journey when I was 36 and it's a year later, still no baby. The irony is I have so many friends who have easily conceived at my age and older so it's a case of eliminating reasons at this stage. He did explain a bit about NK cells and how the birth of 1 child can activate them so I'm battling with age and high aggressive NK cells. I think my chances of conceiving naturally is fairly slim now even though DH thinks I'm pregnant every month, bless him!

Hey all, sorry I’ve been quiet and haven’t chatted much, or been very helpful to anyone else, but now I need help 😆

Today and yesterday I’ve had this squeezy feeling in my stomach which I aaaalways get when AF is near, so I was wondering if this was the case. I’ve just been to the loo and I am bleeding. Im having no pain whatsoever. Im in two minds about whether to bother telling the EPU, because I dont want them to jump to the conclusion that it’s a tube rupturing and make me have drugs/surgery. Im wondering if it’s my body realising that the pregnancy is over and it’s finally getting rid of whatever was left in my that was causing hcg to rise.

Do you think it would be ok for me to keep it to myself for now? I could do a test every day and see if the line is getting lighter, if it is then my theory is right. Obviously if I’m in pain I will ring them, but I’m really not, not even AF cramps!

@ChickenT2b yeah, I had blood tests in both because first one I had pain in my left side so they were worried it was ectopic and second one I had a small bleed. I bled each time at 5 weeks.
That just of been so awful to try for that long and have a mc 🙁 hope you’re doing okay! how are you feeling about this cycle? Xx

@bunnykins123 oh bless him 💕 it's def started again properly enough for a pad so I won't get excited if it stops nothings going to happen anyway until my hcg is a lot lot lower I imagine 🤷🏼‍♀️ yes must be very difficult I'm 36 and I know many people my age that have no troubles whatsoever you hear that clock ticking don't you. Well every 2/3 days is certainly less tiring 🙊 tbh we did 3 days in a row last time and I did vow not again I'm not built for that much bedroom activity 😂

@LuckyMoonstone ooh glad something is happening for you. I think if you're not in pain I would just leave and see how it goes

@LuckyMoonstone have you taken another test to see if you are still getting strong lines? If not, it could be either your normal period or your body recognising the miscarriage. It doesn't sound to me like ectopic unless your HCG is still in your system. I'm so sorry you're going through this 💕

@bunnykins123 not since the last one, I’ll have to do one in the morning and compare it to my pic of the other days if I can find it on this thread! Deleted it off my phone. I’ll probs still have some hcg as it was like 82 on Sunday but if it has started dropping since then, that could be what is triggering me to bleed to sort of ‘finish’ the miscarriage

@mummatara literally just the tiniest little period-type pains, no sharp/stabbing pains or one-sided pains

@bunnykins123 @mummatara The problem I have with every other day is that they also recommend making sure you DTD the day before O. But if you have a cycle like mine where you don't know which day O will happen then it may well fall on a non-DTD day which would surely lessen the chance of it working that cycle, right?

@TheBirdintheCave i worry about this also, so I just do it everyday just in case 🤣

@bunnykins123 is the dtd every other day for everyone or just for low sperm count? Ive seen conflicting advice online!

@LuckyMoonstone could you hold your pee for the next 4 hours and do a quick dip test? That way you should get an indication. At 84, regardless of the time of the day, you would still get a second line regardless of urine concentration. Orrrrr wait for tomorrow like any other sane person 🙃 I actually think this is your body recognising the miscarriage so hopefully this is the end 🤞

@TheBirdintheCave are your cycles irregular? Do you use OPKs? I totally get what you're saying though. My O date this month was cd11 and I'm usually a cd14/15 kinda gal so our attempts were rubbish.

@bunnykins123 I really hope it is! I’ll see if I can do one this evening. If not then tomorrow AM

@TheBirdintheCave I have this problem too I O anywhere between day 14 and 23 hence the DTD 3 days in a row last time but I know that realistically it can happen as my pregnancy in March was DTD once 5 days before O. It's just the anxiety of getting as much in as possible isn't it 🙈

@bunnykins123 glad you are getting some more tests done. And actually have heard that if sperm I’d a bit low in a certain area tho at dna fragmentation can be an issue. And obv is there dna fragmentation is high. There soerm fertilising the egg can alwyas make it a bad one. Which can explain recurrent miscarriage. As you would have some good eggs deff amongst the few bad ones we all have that is normal. Hopefully this may throw up more answers

@mummatara bless you hun. It’s so hard when it drags on. You just wanna be normal again as such an be able to reset. The stop and start can be quite normal tho I think.

@LuckyMoonstone I reckon it is perhaps your lining coming away again so like your period. So hopefully it resets it and comes away whatever was hanging on. How long ago would it of been since your last period? About usual cycle or less? I reckon hold onto urine like suggested above and do another test. You’d be suprised how once they get low in a couple of days they can suddenly really change. Mine did. And was then almost invisible.

@ChloeN I think for everyone. We don't know how DHs spermies perform yet, if they are poor I will need to ask about frequency. For what it's worth, this is the 2nd consultant I've spoken to recently who says every other day but really I think you should do what feels right for you.

@bunnykins123 I’ll see what happens this cycle then! I don’t think he has a sperm problem so I’m going to try and not be anxious about that, I worry enough as it is🤣

@TheBirdintheCave @ChloeN I do think they say the day before ovulation on recent studies has shown the highest percentage of becoming pregnant. But O -2 is still a pretty good percent. Just O-1 is slightly better yes. As gives them to time to do the 12 hour capacitation they need but also not enough time they die off etc and are fresh. But alas. Lots of ppl get pregnant from O-4.

altho I will say I don’t think everyone can. I think women who have tons of EWCM for days and the fertile oh is exactly right can. More young women who have more EWCM as it lessens as we get older. I certainly don’t think I would ever get pregnant do the settles method. Ie sex day 5-3 before ovulation only. Don’t think my EWCM is at that really egg white stage then when sperm survives best. Just a point worth noting for yourself.

i always get pregnent the day we do it when that is most abundant. Which is O-1 for me and O day.

i think every other is good idea also to not tire yourself out. An also does help replenish sperm for average counts even. I worried about it a lot until DHs sperm sample said he had 499 million per ejaculate which is so damn high we then dtd the month I fell. Altho not O day.
i think O-1 was our bingo day tbh!

@Indianna2006 thank you! I get quite a lot of ewcm, we’re both early 20s and don’t have any other babies yet so dtd everyday is quite manageable tbh! I think I saw something with percentages on and there wasn’t much difference between the days!
I fell pregnant the day before ovulation for my mmc so hopefully that’ll happen again this time🤞🏻

@Indianna2006 I’m cd30 now (so from first day of miscarriage bleed) so it’s like having a ‘normal’ cycle- I mean normal for other people not for me with my 40 odd day cycles lol

@LuckyMoonstone yes I know what you mean. But you do sometimes have 30 day cycles don’t you? Hmm seems like it could be that then. Which would be a good thing. Flush it all out hopefully and you’ll be on your way on your way fingers crossed 🤞🏼

@MrsCristianoX i think she did mean the test thankfully but it still angered me as the whole reason I was there was because I was trying to save my baby :( & it would have been on all my notes. they were just so blasé it was jarring. Sorry to hear about last night, I can understand your frustrations 😤

@RaliaMusca thanks girl! I'm just hoping if it was something sinister it would be more constant & more painful, as it's on and off. Hope it's just hitting a nerve like Luna said! Not very worried but will defo call epu if it gets worse. They didn't seem concerned when I mentioned it to them earlier in the week, it's weird i'm not getting many period type cramps this time!

@bunnykins123 glad they're getting those other tests sorted for you , did they say much more about the nk cells? We got told to dtd every 2/3 days too as dh has slightly low sc. I think they produce better quality ones then! Also takes the pressure off a bit.

@MrsCristianoX hahaha PMSL, I had the same convo with the DH the other night, "switch off from you getting there...and get me there ffs!!" Almost word for word. Frustrated doesn't sum it up so I hear you lady!!! 🤣🤣🤣

@Mariabombia yeh a little bit. He said that there are two types: 1. You always have high NK cells 2. They are activated after 1st birth. Looks like I'm the latter. He wasn't totally freaking out about my high NK cells, I think that's because they are considered quite controversial. I think it's a case of waiting for these final results before deciding on next steps. It's sooo boring 🙄

@MrsCristianoX oh you can bet your bottom dollar that the 1st time it's time to dtd, boom - 45minute sesh coming right at cha!

I've made it to 9dpo without testing! My boobs feel huge but that's it really.

I'm going to hold out till Friday to test; anyone due to test soon?! We've got to get a positive soon!
