@theblueflowers I'm okay until about 11/12 DPO then I become an obsessed woman analysing everything. I actually don't know what's worse - the TWW or scheduled frisky time 🤷‍♀️

@mummatara it could be that the sac is breaking down which is why you are feeling smaller clots coming out? Oh nooo don't test! That's the best way to give yourself extra anxiety!!

mummatara · 10/10/2022 13:46

@bunnykins123 yes I thought that it could just be so broken down that I haven't noticed it. It's def been lighter this'll again this morning almost not even worth wearing a liner so I think it's on its way to finishing. Haha It was just a cheap one I was like oh wonder how faint it is 😂 damn not that faint at all 🙄 I won't test now for a couple of weeks no point in wasting more tests

theblueflowers · 10/10/2022 12:33

Anyone else just go mad in the second week of the TWW? I am so cool in the first week, can focus on work just fine, and then it's like a switch goes off from 7dpo!

So much waiting involved in this game.... I can't wait to be in the TWW! Still waiting for any indication that my body intends to ever ovulate again. 4 weeks post d&c and counting. I have no patience!

RaliaMusca · 10/10/2022 14:13

@Luna57 can I just check (I can't find where you've written about it) why you were given cyclogest? Is that because of threatened miscarriage due to the bleeding?

Luna57 · 10/10/2022 14:31

@RaliaMusca yeah, I think they have to confirm there’s a pregnancy and because I had a miscarriage before and having bleeding now they’ve prescribed me it for 2 weeks and if there’s progression in those 2 weeks I will be prescribed cyclogest til 16 weeks. It’s not stopped the bleeding tho it’s still very on and off. You might be offered it tomorrow if all goes well

FfayeN · 10/10/2022 14:37

@TheBirdintheCave So we are truly in this together! You have been temping too haven't you? This is my first month of temping properly.
@theblueflowers @MrsCristianoX hear hear, I normally manage fine up until then and then I have the urge to rummage and find my tests in my drawer 🫣. As nothing has shown on my temps it's taken that urge away a little this month.

Hang in there @lizziecat1 your probably almost there I got my period 5 weeks after and ovulated that cycle. I didn't ovulate at all between my D&C and the period at 5 weeks. The waiting is the absolute worst i can never understand how it all just take so long 🙄

RaliaMusca · 10/10/2022 14:42

I have done a bit of research around progesterone (I'm currently studying for a health-related BSc and am doing a module on drug interactions so was curious) and they should offer you Utrogestan as that's the one that was used in the clinical trials (PRISM trial).

I'm obviously not a doctor but it might be worth checking with whoever has prescribed it as there are different forms of progesterone and from what I've read the Utrogestan is the only one that has been shown to actually be beneficial in trials in preventing miscarriage.

You can go to medicines.org/emc or bnf.nice.org.uk/drugs and search for both mediations, that will bring up all the details.

RaliaMusca · 10/10/2022 14:43

@Luna57 forgot to tag you in my post above, sorry!

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 14:46

@FfayeN i might track ovulation this month just out of interest. Full on POAS withdrawal here 😂

bunnykins123 · 10/10/2022 15:11

@mummatara defo leave it a while after your bleeding has stopped. That way you won't scare yourself if you still get a dye stealer! Hopefully you've passed it all now and that's the last of the bleeding 🤞

@MrsCristianoX do it! It's actually quite interesting (and possibly confusing?!) to see your temps. Mine defo don't behave normally but generally seem to do what they should around O.

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 15:16

@bunnykins123 I can just do it with a thermometer (I did buy one) you don't need to get the vaginal sensor thing?

mummatara · 10/10/2022 15:32

@MrsCristianoX you need a basal thermometer with two decimal places. Just put it under your tongue at the back it's super easy

Luna57 · 10/10/2022 15:38

@RaliaMusca I’m in NI so no doubt we won’t get the privileges of any good medicines. @MrsCristianoX is a pharmacist maybe she could shed some light on cyclogest? Any time I’ve googled cyclogest it’s all about the luteal phase and implantation and using the pessaries in the TWW 🤷🏼‍♀️ I genuinely don’t have my hopes high they will maintain this pregnancy

RaliaMusca · 10/10/2022 15:40

@Luna57 exactly, I think they're commonly used in assisted fertility during the luteal phase but not once you are actually pregnant.

mummatara · 10/10/2022 15:58

@bunnykins123 I hope so 🤞🏼🤞🏼 never thought I'd say this after the marathon sessions of trying to conceive but I'm actually quite looking forward to getting back to dtd it's def been a while 😂

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 16:18

@Luna57 cheers for that...not at work today but the NI hospitals recommended cyclogest 400mg twice daily. Utrogestan vaginal caps are only available at a dose of 200mg so would need to be given more frequently. So if you work it isn't really an option. In my 20 years of pharmacy I've never seen a pregnant lady prescribed utrogestran or in fact anyone. Both are used for ivf.

BUT I haven't studied both forms and would need to do a little more research x

FfayeN · 10/10/2022 16:34

@mummatara I must have missed your post but hopefully you're coming to the end of it now 😌. Hoping your body get back relatively quickly also.

@MrsCristianoX it is really interesting, mine looks roughly how it should but there are so many variables too. Amazon have some super cheap thermometers for bbt. Try and do it at the same time each day and before you get up, keep us posted! xx

bunnykins123 · 10/10/2022 16:42

@FfayeN today I took my temp and I got 4 really different readings. How can that be so?! I feel like it's pot luck which reading I'll get each day 😂

@MrsCristianoX I bought one of the Ovusense ones but it never worked. Getting technical support to help with it was literally like getting blood out of a stone so sacked it off. Back to the tongue thermometer....

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 16:46

@FfayeN @bunnykins123 thanks!! I have one of those. Really didn't want to have to go for a vaginal one 🙈

FfayeN · 10/10/2022 16:46

@bunnykins123 I have had this aswell so now I just take the early morning one and take the first answer, it's so easy to keep checking it especially if you're awake in the night. I guess it's only so accurate, if it's a cold night for example it may be slightly lower, if I've had a drink or bad food it's higher and if you've not had a good sleep it can be affected too. You're just looking for a rough average line before and after ovulation. Fertility Friend is the easiest app to log it. When I had my hypothyroid out of control they were all over the place, now it's treated it's looking a lot more normal! Xx

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 16:48

@FfayeN ooh I just downloaded that!

bunnykins123 · 10/10/2022 16:53

@FfayeN that's so true! If I've had alcohol the day before, my temp always shoots up. Not helpful! The worst was with the heatwave! That's good advice. I'll just have to hope the 1st reading is accurate as this morning there was a 0.30 difference between readings at 1 point which is not ideal 🤦‍♀️

@MrsCristianoX Ovusense do an armband one (this is the one I got) but literally it didn't sync with my phone or do much of anything. So you can get ones that aren't the 'vag plugs' but I think they aren't as well developed yet so a bit temperamental. I don't fancy putting one up my foof all night 😂

Indianna2006 · 10/10/2022 17:02

@FfayeN thats again good they’ve been seeming a lot more stable. Hopefully that’s a positive thing for your hormones and falling. I always used fertility friend and again found it the easiest to log temps and makes it really clear. And also found it pretty accurate with predicting ovulation if you were consistent.

MrsCristianoX · 10/10/2022 17:03

@Luna57 I've checked updated NICE guidelines and what you have been prescribed is accurate. I will use this as part of my learning cycles for next year and maybe learn a bit more xx Community pharmacists tend to argue with patients about drugs of abuse 'no it's not due yet' is one sentence I use a lot

@bunnykins123 so very true 😂 I think a wristband would annoy me just as much
