Margo34 · 18/08/2022 16:37

@Tor88 my GP said low dose aspirin should only be taken from 8w-12w in pregnancy and not before 🤷

Margo34 · 18/08/2022 16:38

Oh @Pancake92 I'm sorry to hear this 😔

mummatara · 18/08/2022 17:06

bunnykins123 · 18/08/2022 17:23

@Mariabombia I'm somewhat an unusual case but it took me 12 weeks to have negative tests. Nothing wrong, no retained products, just my body moved being pregnant, I guess 🤷‍♀️ I think the issue with care following miscarriages is that the EPU is focused on pregnancies so miscarriages massively gets pushed to the sidelines. Tbf I went private any nobody (neither private or nhs) said it could take as long as it did for me to test negative. I remember those days like yesterday even though it was nearly 4 years ago! You can absolutely get pregnant with HCG in your system too, providing your ovulating.

@Tor88 I was the same, giggled at the prospect of a new pregnancy but it was just residue HCG. I'm a aspirin babe 🙋‍♀️ 3 miscarriages and I had my consultant tell me over a month ago to take baby aspirin daily as it helps (no idea how but apparently it does). I'm not being monitored let se but I'm taking it daily. No I'll effects at all! For what it's worth, my trust clinic is run by the top dawg for reoccurring miscarriages (Dr Shehata) so I'm rolling with their advice!

@Pancake92 oh hun I'm so so sorry 😓 big hugs from me, I know how hard it is.

@Chellooo 'chop it off' lol 😂 welcome to the TWW!

@Pancake92 I’m sorry that’s rubbish. Sending lots of love!

@Chellooo so funny! I think you’re safe to have a rest now before one or both of you breaks something, chart looks good!

xx

LuckyMoonstone · 18/08/2022 17:56

@Pancake92 I’m sorry, hope you’re ok x

MrsCristiano · 18/08/2022 19:01

@Mariabombia hey lovely..just in from work and saw the posts I've been tagged in. Will take a proper read soon but yes you can absolutely ovulate with hcg in your system..my bloods were monitored every 48 hours 3 times then a final blood draw showed my level had dropped to 84 but the doctor scanning me said my left ovary was about to release an egg 'a big juicy follicle' and I had noticed the start of fertile CM. They advised me to wait because of a little tissue left in my uterus which came away 2 AFs later... xx

Indianna2006 · 18/08/2022 20:08

@Pancake92 sorry to hear 😔

@Chellooo gets sooo much doesn’t it. I think you prob got it covered. Even if you ovulate today you still covered.

mine was a bit later and knackered ourselves out. We did O-4,-3,-2,1. But we didn’t do ovulation day as it was too much. I was annoyed at myself. But alas. It did not matter. BFP anyway. I think the day of can sometimes be too late anyway due to the 12 hours needed for the sperm to capacitate before they can fertilise the egg so reckon your good 👍🏻. Phew haha 🍆❌

Indianna2006 · 18/08/2022 20:09

@Margo34 @bunnykins123 isn’t it funny how there’s such varying opinions between aspirin amongst medical professionals. No wonder it’s so bloody confusing for people!

balletshoes25 · 18/08/2022 20:53

Hi all,

Been more of a lurker but so lovely reading everyone's stories. What a supportive bunch of women in this corner of the internet!

Feeling pretty down and confused. MC at 10 weeks end of May. AF turned up 6 weeks after. But as yet, no sign of second AF since MC! On CD40 of a usually 31-33 day cycle. Done two tests (latest one yesterday)- both BFN.

Just want AF to turn up now so we can try again but no signs whatsoever of it coming. Were any of your cycles messed up for a while after MC?

Also going away this weekend with friends - one of whom recently had a baby and so baby coming along too. Obviously happy for my friend but also a sad reminder.

Sorry for the rant!

Margo34 · 18/08/2022 20:53

@Indianna2006 I know right! For one of the most natural things in the world, getting pregnant and staying pregnant is certainly not a cake walk especially if the professionals can't agree 😭🤣😭🤣

Luna57 · 18/08/2022 20:55

@Pancake92 I’m so sorry this is happening to you! Life is just cruel sometimes!

MrsCristiano · 18/08/2022 20:59

The aspirin situation is so different for every individual. Because of my past stroke I have to take it all the time. I was on stronger blood thinners but neurologist recommended aspirin 150mg for ttc.

I don't think this is my month. That chemical messed my hormones up and I'm just feeling a bit ugh about it all. I'll be cheering all you ladies on..goiod luck 🤞❤️ xx

curliegirlie · 18/08/2022 21:57

I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks so LOTS to catch up on I see....
@Pancake92 so sorry, CPs are shit...
@Indianna2006 a huge congratulations 🥳

I'm out for this month (cycle 6) I think...12dpo and repeated bfns. No idea what's going on bbt-wise, as I haven't dug out my thermometer again since returning from holiday in North Wales last week, as I was feeling a bit deflated about the whole thing (not helped by DH getting really upset by my answering a text when he was getting amorous with me - unthinking on my part, I know, but he was the one who pointed out my phone was buzzing away, I probably wouldn't have checked then otherwise...). But fully expecting AF to arrive in full force tomorrow after some spotting today.

And I think that's it for TTC for us. DH said the other day he thinks #3 would be too much. And possibly that I'm taking on too much generally. We've just taken on a mum and her 5 year old from Ukraine, and so have ended up doing a lot of having to keep an eye on all 3 kids (2 of whom have Down's syndrome). I think it's just shown him some of the practicalities/challenges of dealing with 3 and it's put him off 😢. And I'm not doing this unless he's completely on the same page. So there we go. It's been a rollercoaster of a six months. Now to work out what bloody contraceptives to go on 😢. Good luck girls. I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines...

bunnykins123 · 18/08/2022 21:59

@Indianna2006 you're totally right. Tbf I've read articles that say not to take it at all, some that say to take it from 3dpo, some that say to take it from bfp and some from 12 weeks. I don't think they actually know. But I think at some point, you've got to trust what the specialists say and just roll with their advice...🫠

@balletshoes25 I'm so sorry you've found yourself here and for what you're going though. Big hugs. Hormones can be wild after a miscarriage, they can do some really weird things for a while until things settle back down. Have you discussed this with your GP?

@MrsCristiano oh hun, hope you're ok 💕 its such an overwhelming process all this.

bunnykins123 · 18/08/2022 22:04

@curliegirlie great to hear from you!! That's completely understandable and I agree, you both need to be on the same page. Maybe a bit of a breather will make you reconsider but I totally understand why you've come to that decision. Don't be a stranger - we will miss you! 💕💕

@curliegirlie that's probably the nicest and most selfless thing I've read all day❤️ you never know what the future holds. You are an inspiration lovely 🥰

Daisy155 · 18/08/2022 22:12

@Pancake92 so sorry to hear this and I can’t believe what your GP said what is wrong with these professionals sometimes seriously! Shocking 😕

MrsCristiano · 18/08/2022 22:26

@Margo34 I like to think I sound Liam neeson ish but considering I'm female probably not 😂 both come from around the same area though. Oh new username may be MrsLiamNeeson if DH guesses again 😅

Margo34 · 18/08/2022 22:32

@MrsCristiano 😂

FfayeN · 19/08/2022 08:23

I'm out, just waiting for AF now 😒. BRING ME THE WINE 🍷
