Hey ladies I have been brave and started new thread.
Aquababe will not have to look at her thread opener again.

OP posts:
Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 07:59

only 2 sleeps to go before scan! Thanks for all the good wishes, I'm so nervous about it,wish it was over and done with, really hope that its good news. one of the girls in the other waiting room (scully) has had some bad news with her 8 week scan, but I haven't invited her here yet, as the docs are still investigating.
HTGG so dreading the cold beaches, but quite looking forward to the indoor 'heated' swimming pool. The children love Rory the tiger,Bradley Bear,Anxious the Elephant and Greedy the Gorilla so they are really looking forward to the shows. I have nearly managed to pack the kitchen sink, so just waiting for the big day!
MoolieM just checked your profile, we have more in common than you think! I work in a JC too, although I am an old 'BA' employee, I started my career break the year that they merged. I also had my first child 2 months before I was 35, check out my profile now! I work in LO2008, but have worked in aberystwyth, toxteth and wallasey, where are you based?

MollieMooma · 29/03/2008 10:23

Emmsy 2 more sleeps will fly by (I hope!)
Oh my goodness I'm ex "BA" too, started in 1995 and transferred to JCP in 2003, always worked at 6909 or 04701 as we are now, can't put the name down as the place is too small and someone might recognise me Bet you can't wait to go back next year (not). The only good thing I can say about them is that for maternity rights and leave they are good, it's the only reason I've stayed for the last few years whilst ttc. Have a wonderfl break x
Bunny To the horrible men at your work f*ck em I say! Get surfing just learn to minimise quickly Hope you've enjoyed your week off hun.
GG Oh my goodness, it's like a whole new house! Perhaps you should post before and after pictures for us so we can share your experience
Hello to everyone else, hope your all well x

Emmsy1 · 29/03/2008 14:54

MollieM I started in 1987, and started Mat leave in 2003 followed by 5 year career break. Its great being able to have career breaks etc.. but really don't want to go back. I may go back for a month so I dont have to pay back any money (I'm sure its only a month I would have to work for??) just have to wait and see what the circumstances are then! (I have had a few health problems the last 15 months, and will persue the diagnosis when baby born) XX

Emmsy1 · 30/03/2008 15:58

Well girls, 1 more sleep to go before my scan tomorrow, my H has the day off to look after the children, so wont have to drag them with me. I am going on my own, no one has offered to go with me this time, think folk are not very optimistic about this bean! I am feeling quite scared, wish it was all over and done with, any of you girls fancy coming along with me for a bit of moral support? I will buy you a chocolate muffin and a drinking chocolate!

Spink · 30/03/2008 20:34

hello emmsy, just popping in to say I'll be with you! What time are you going in?

Jackstini · 31/03/2008 12:06
HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 31/03/2008 13:08

Hello hello. Have I missed Emmsy? Wanted to wish her good luck before she whizzed off to hosptial. .

Jacks - DD2 LOVES Peppa Pig (or Pigga Pig as she calls her).

Will also say hello to anyone lurking and welcome them in for some cake, tea and a shoulder to cty on. Don't lurk for too long ladies. It's so nice here and we're all in the same boat.

Glad to hear that everyone else is OK and that my pom pom shaking is needed . I think I might give accupuncture I try and you all seem to rate it. And, it'd be great to get everything in tippity top order before TTC again.

Oh and Bunny, yep some of my life has been glam but can I just tell you that I've also done PR for a collostomy bag manufacturer (5 hour seminar on the merits of their product as opposed to their competitors..... YAWN, barf, hurl . So not all glam parties!

Am more than happy to pass on the 'beeny effect' to y'all when the build starts . Do you think we get the big boobs too?!?!?

HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 31/03/2008 13:11

Oh, and can someone tell me how I can set up my profile page so I can show you some pics of the DD's, DH, me and the soon to be bomb site that was our home. Ta ever so. xx

Jackstini · 31/03/2008 13:13

GG - click on 'my mumsnet' tab at top of page and go from there - look forward to the pics!

mistlethrush · 31/03/2008 13:15

HTGG - I managed to do this recently just enough to put some pics on -you need to go to 'my registration' and start from there. You need to do the profile bit somewhat before any photos show up.

MollieMooma · 31/03/2008 15:17

Ooh goodie more photo's! I'm such a nosey bint! GG that sound made me laugh when you told us about your PR job for collostomy bags, what on earth did you find to talk about for 5 hrs, think I'd struggle for 5 minutes Bring on the "Beeny effect" my dh is transfixed by her boobs they change size 3 times every episode!

Emmsy1 · 31/03/2008 15:50

Girls,my baby is just fine! measuring 10 wks and 4 days, due 23rd October, thanks for the support, speak next week XX

MollieMooma · 31/03/2008 16:09

Emmsy HOOOORRRAAAAAYYYYYY
So pleased for you hun that is fantastic news, enjoy your holiday now with peace of mind

ClairePO · 31/03/2008 16:28

That's wonderful news Emmsy! :O

NotSoNewAnymore · 31/03/2008 16:51

Hi all,

I have been lurking for a while but have decided to take the plunge and join in.

After 3 weeks of inconclusive scans, erratic hcg levels and (at least) two incorrect diagnoses, I eventually had a complete, natural miscarriage at home last Thursday . I should have been 10 weeks pregnant but the baby was only measuring 6 weeks. It was my first pregnancy (I posted on the miscarriage board - my name was 'newtoallofthis')

So...I have a new name, this is a new start and 2008 will be our year

PS - Congratulations Emmsy!

mistlethrush · 31/03/2008 16:56

Congratulations Emmsy - good news and have a great holiday.

And sorry that its really bad timing for you to join given dates Notsonew. I had mc at 10wks on my first pregnancy, although ended up with D&C. Its really hard. Be kind to yourself and don't expect it to be easy. Those pregnant ladies just seem to pop out of the woodwork all over the place and it can be really difficult. Lots of support here though - I find it very helpful to have a good rant every now and then to people who know what you're going through.
