Hey ladies I have been brave and started new thread.
Aquababe will not have to look at her thread opener again.

OP posts:
HeyThereGeorgieGirl · 20/03/2008 20:21

Just wanted to wish every one a very Happy Easter. For those that can - eat chocholate, drink wine and be happy. And for those that can't - eat carob, drink herbal tea and be happy .

My little offering tonight is a pan roasted salmon, sauteed savoy cabbage with fennel seeds and some herby cous cous and..... choc easter cakes (with small choc easter egg on top!) made by my DD's yesterday.

Spink - don't go lady. Shake your pom poms like me!

And isn't this time of year all about ressurection? .

Hugs to all.

G xx

Rosie29 · 20/03/2008 21:35

Hi...just found this thread and was after some advice. Haven't time to read it all so sorry if i am repeating a previous question.
I had a d and c 3 weeks ago and had very little bleeding and generally have felt fine physically since. I just wondered on the reason to wait for a period before ttc again. We have been having unprotected sex for the last week or so, out of habit really rather than ttc (iyswim). I would, of course, be delighted to get pregnant again but was worried if this was to happen now would have a high risk of mcing again?
Sorry for the rambling post, am knackered!

Emmsy1 · 21/03/2008 02:26

Rosie sorry your here hun, but welcome! I think that the reason they tell you to wait for your first AF is for dating reasons, thats what I was told in 2000. If you do manage to get pregnant again that soon then I wish you the best of luck, if not, dont worry it will happen again soon X

HTGG may get some lactulose I will google it first just to be on the safe side, but thanks for advice XX

jackstini thanks for helping me countdown, its nice knowing I have so much support from this thread, hope you get another BFP soon XX

Thanks to all you girls for the support you have offered, it really does make a difference, especially when RL people dont like to talk about your new pregnancy when you have had a few previous M/C's XX

spink I will be thinking of you this weekend, my heart goes out to you. XXXXXXX

I hope that everyone finds time to relax a little over Easter and to over indulge in some RL choccie "Happy Easter" XXX

MollieMooma · 21/03/2008 08:24

Rosie Hi, welcome, sorry you have had to join us but your in the right place. My GP told me after my mm/c in January that we didn't have to wait for a cycle, like Emmsy said it's just for dating purposes, no evidence to show that it will mean you will m/c again if you get pg straight away. Let's hope it doesn't take too long for you hun but you know where we are if you need to talk
Emmsy What a lovely post, we'll eat all the stuff you can't this weekend and think of you x

to every one else and Bunny just for you some nice steak, red wine and chocolate as you can't have them in rl x

ClairePO · 21/03/2008 10:08

Welcome Rosie good luck with trying again, I second everything Mollie and Emmsy have said.

Morning all, hot cross buns today, sainsbury's be good to yourself or full fat, take your pick!

cricri · 21/03/2008 11:04

Hello ladies,
Haven't posted for a while, but I am lurking and keeping up with you all. This thread is always my first port of call on MN!
I'm sorry that some new people have had to join, but you're in the right place for support. I'm directing anybody who suffers a mc on the AN thread (and there are too many already ) here. Like Emmsy, I've found the support on here invaluable.
Spink Thinking of you this weekend (((hugs))) to you.
On a brighter note, I had my early scan yesterday and all is well . Measured 7+3 and EDD is 3 November. We saw a heartbeat and got a photo to take home. Can't stop looking at it as it still hasn't sunk in... After last time it was just such a relief to see something on the screen.
However, I know it's still very early days yet. I think it was PrePG who said that she'd seen a heartbeat at 6 weeks and then there was nothing so I know I'm not out of the woods yet. Having seen a hb also makes it more real and has made me even more anxious in a way. Still, I'm trying to take each day as it comes and keep positive.
I'm afraid I've scoffed all the hot cross buns, but I can offer some lovely warm bread my husband has just made.
Happy Easter to you all xx

MollieMooma · 21/03/2008 11:18

cricri Lovely to hear from you and with such good news! So pleased all is going well, I'm sure this is a sticky sticky bean (Like your fingers after eating all the hot cross buns )
So cool you got a photo too
Best of luck for the pg although I'm sure yu wont' need it, glad your referring newbies for support x

ClairePO · 21/03/2008 11:41

cricri how lovely! Glad it is all going well and fingers and toes firmly crossed for you and all our other graduates

Spink · 21/03/2008 11:53

hello to everyone else, thank you for thinking of us. This is just a quick post in between mad packing (feels like we are taking the whole house) I won't be able to mn while we're away, so I'll see you all on Monday eve probably.
be thinking of you, you'll especially be with me at certain times, and your presence on my shoulder will help me I am sure
xx

I pretend I'm going for the laid back approach but I know I'm not fooling anyone, my dh calls me OCD girl coz I obsess about things
Shout if you need anything, food, hugs, advice, support!
Emmsy I will have a bottle just for you tonight hun. Is it hormones raging as to why you and dh aren't talking?

to claire & Spink

ClairePO · 21/03/2008 18:44

I've just made choccie cupckaes decorated with fudge icing and mini-eggs to take to DP's granny who is in hospital after a fall. But I made extra for the mc avengers thread as we do like our cake! Help yourself.

Emmsy take an extra one for your DH too if you've made up already!

MollieMooma · 21/03/2008 18:59

Scrummy says Mollie with chocolate covered mouth

Emmsy1 · 21/03/2008 20:08

claire thanks fot the cake, I did take the 2 but ate them myself! thought the bean would like 1
mollie nothing to do with hormones, DH lied to me last week about how much money he had, told me only had £220 when he actually had £700 I put every penny into our household, even my savings go on the lot of us, H is very selfish, he likes to hide his money so he can spend it at the bookies,I can not abide lies, and H can do it so remarkably well! He knows I struggle to make ends meet, I work out the finances, he can just be so selfish at times! sorry for going on a bit, just can't stand him at the moment! Please make sure you finish that bottle for meX

ClairePO · 21/03/2008 20:13

Emmsy sorry you're going through it at the moment with (D)H. His behaviour does sound very selfish, you'd think he'd think things through a bit more. Hope he comes to his sense soon.

MollieMooma · 21/03/2008 20:18

Emmsy I have said this before but I will say it again all men are SIB's (Selfish insensitive b*stards) It's in their genes unfortunately and every one of them including my dear dh display this behaviour at times Give him a kick up the arse chick you don't need stress at this point in your life. I've just necked the bottle for you and will start on bottle no 2!

Jackstini · 22/03/2008 20:54

Emmsy - sorry your dh is being such a git - hope by now he has aplogogised. Getting closer to that scan....
Mollie - I'll share that bottle number 2 with you!
Bunny - I will eat 1 choc for you but thinking after the weekend I need to be more sensible with food. I might cut right down on all the things you are being told to give up. Hope you have a good weekend and the traffic doesn't get you!
CriCri - lovely to hear your news and so glad you got a pic and saw a h/b. I am keeping everything crossed for this little sticky one.
Welcome Dawny & Rosie. Sorry you have had to join us but post away when you need to - this lot are great.
Right later dinner now - anyone up for smoked salmon & prawns, a bit of panfried duck on potato rosti followed by melting choc puds?

cece · 22/03/2008 21:31

I have Milky bar mini eggs if anyone wants one...

saz29 · 23/03/2008 16:21

Hi I posted a little while back and have been reading since then, this is so informative! Anyway, I had a d&c almost 2 weeks ago, had very little bleeding afterwards (less than a day and so light it was barely there) but have recently been bleeding again. A couple of days ago which stopped after a day or so, and then again today, much heavier with some clots. I phoned NHS direct and they told me not to worry unless it was very heavy and carried on and to treat it like a normal period. Now having read up on all this treating it like a period does not quite seem right to me, surely I've not had time to build up the lining again so is this leftover bits from D&C? And if so should I be worried about the fact that I didn't bleed for over a week then started heavier bleeding? Oh and also last night we DTD with no condom, could that have affected things?
Gosh this is a bit of an essay - sorry. Just wondered if you can offer any advice. Thanks for reading. xxx

mistlethrush · 23/03/2008 20:49

SAZ - I think a D&C can send your system out rather, so could be OK - however, if you continue on the OK for a bit then bleeding for a bit, then Ok again, and it doesn't settle into a pattern and get normal within, say, 1 month, you definitely need to go back to the doctors and really get them to take you seriously. It took me 3 visits to the Dr to do that, and it would have been so much better if they had listened to me th e first time.

Hi to everyone else.

Am a bit cross about carob recently: I noticed that they had changed the recipe on one variety recently, and they have started to put in cocoa butter! In carob! which is known to be a chocolate so called substitute. So I can't even eat carob things without carefully reading the labels properly now!!!
