Hey ladies I have been brave and started new thread.
Aquababe will not have to look at her thread opener again.

OP posts:
aquababe · 11/02/2008 10:13

Know exactly what you mean emmsy my af was 6 days late this month and I was convinced I was pregnant despite 3 bfns. I too would love to fast forward till about 10 weeks.

cece · 11/02/2008 10:21

morning all,

Well af is due at end of week. Have had two days of spotting though - think my cycle still a bit messed up. Surely she can't be on her way! That would be less than 28 days and I am normally 33 days, sometimes 36!? Oh well, in a way it would be OK as would then be ttc again but worried about what it migth mean for my cycle...

I am worried I am perimenopausal!

MollieMooma · 11/02/2008 11:33

Morning all, hope your all feeling the benefits of the sunshine we've got today. As we're on the subject of cycles can I ask a question? I had my ERPC 15/01/08 my AF would be due 23/02/08 if I hadn't got pg do you think I'll see her then or not? Not had any obvious signs for my cycle otherwise

cece · 11/02/2008 12:20

after my D&C it took 6 weeks to come back.

Emmsy1 · 11/02/2008 14:45

cece I am usually a 28-29 day cycle, last month I was 48 days!? (totally convinced I was preggers!) This month I 'O' on CD9!! which means AF due CD22 or 23 ???
I blamed xmas for last months long cycle and this month I am blaming AD's (really don't want to think I may be pre-menopausal P.S ssshh don't tell anyone but will be 43 in 2 months!

cece · 11/02/2008 17:03

I'll keep it a secret! LO I am 41 in 15 days . At least I will get to have a drink this year.

bunnyinheadlights · 11/02/2008 20:49

kate i ended up having a mc at 10 weeks with my first one. it was a missed mc, no bleeding at all and very very sick and nauseous the whole way through - scan at 10 weeks showed that heartbeat/development stopped 2 days after my 8 week scan. i went for early scans cause with my dd, i was told i was 100% going to mc at 5 weeks and spent the whole of that pg worrying and getting addicted to scans. i dont think you should be worried though at my 8 week scan little fella was showing up small for dates (about 1 week off). the consultant didn't think much at the time, just said these things can sort themselves out and we would know for sure in 2 weeks time. well we did. but you are the right size for dates And a heartbeat that is a good sign. everything crossed for sticky bean for you x.

molliemooma my af came exactly 29 days after erpc. in fact i think i must have ov'd whilst i was still bleeding (tmi) as bled for over 2 weeks after erpc. before mc cycles were 28 days, so it was bang on. although the waiting for first af can drive you nuts.

kate2179 · 11/02/2008 21:09

Thank you bunny. {{hugs to you}} Really hope you never have to go through that again xx

lou2311 · 12/02/2008 08:35

Hi Bunny, I was almost identical to you with my MC. It was the waiting that made it hard because you just keep hanging on to the thread of hope that it will be okay. And to go nearly to the three month stage was heartbreaking for me too. I feel for you. We will get there!!
Hugs and good thoughts to Emmsy and Cece
How are you today Verso?

WorzselMummage · 12/02/2008 15:21

I'd like to join you if thats ok ?

I'm booked in for a ERPC tomorrow morning, i should be almost 14 weeks but my our baby had died between 8 and 9 weeks. I'm still having symptoms, nausea and painfull hips its horrid. i just want it over now.

This is my 3rd Mc and 3rd D&C although the last 2 were a few years ago so the hospital dont seem to think they count and i wont get any tests or anything i'll just have to hope it doesnt happen again.

This baby was 20 months in the making so we're getting right back to TTC to hopefully make the most of the 'superfertility' which we're supposed to get after a MC.. i'll believe it if i see it but i've got my fingers crossed anyway. I've got some OPKs ready to go so hopefully i'll start ovulating soon.

It seems so cruel that there are so many people in the post going though the same thing and it seems just about everyone i know has had a mc at one point or another

anyway, i hope you dont mind me posting here ?

Emmsy1 · 12/02/2008 16:08

worzelmummidge Your very welcome to join this thread, my heart goes out to you, I'm so very, very sorry that you are going through this, especially to find out so late in to the pregnancy. Lots of {{{{{hugs}}}} for you, I hope that you find the girls on here a big help, they are a good bunch!
I have had 2 consec M/C's but I was only 6 weeks with the 2nd, I also had a M/C about 7 years ago (a blighted ovum) I didn't find out until I was 9 1/2 weeks (at my first scan!) I refused to believe the hospital because I was still having all the symptoms, so I asked for a second opinion at a different hospital, but sadly it was the same result so I had to have an 'ERPC' The distress ans heartache I went through was awlful, I really do feel for you, take care hun xxxxxxxxxxx

cece · 12/02/2008 17:15

worzel a sad but warm welcome to you. We all know what you are going through. Good luck for the ERPC

cece · 12/02/2008 18:15

Had the doc surgery on phone. The GP has had a look at the scan results I had done when I had the infection. She wants to see me to discuss them. No appointment for 2 weeks though... guess who is going to worry themselves sick about it!

Was going to start back ttc after AF, now I don't know whether to or not...

Emmsy1 · 12/02/2008 20:47

cece could you not ring the docs and tell the receptionist how worried you are? they maybe able to give you a 'telephone appointment' hope it goes well hun xxxx

Emmsy1 · 13/02/2008 04:47

I am only 10 dpo today and I did a hpt ehis morning. it was a BFP!! it was only very faint but still there and it appeared straight away. I am really excited but still very, very nervous (last 2 preg's were M/C's)
I will keep you informed xxxx cece hope its your turn very soon xxx

MollieMooma · 13/02/2008 08:26

Welcome Worzelmummidge, sorry your here but hope we can support you

Emmsy - congrats!!! V pleased for you, sending you lots of sticky thoughts.

CeCe-please please hassle the docs for an earlier appt or as said a telephone appt you can't be expected to wait that long and I can understand your hesitancy to TTC again now, I'd be exactly the same, you must get on to them hun

lou2311 · 13/02/2008 11:26

Having a very bad day today - woke up crying and said to DH that my life was pointless and it was too late and that we would never get pregnant and it wouldnt be till 2009 now and that is too far away, and that I wanted to just go and be on my own for a few days as i'm so miserable. (pauses for breath and to apologise for very poor punctuation)

I feel better now.. thanks xx

Emmsy - very excited for you! thinking sticky thoughts...

bunnyinheadlights · 13/02/2008 11:53

oh lou! i know how you feel. it's rubbish isnt it? i saw GP this morning and broke down in her office. then went on to sob in car and couldnt drive because of the tears. hope being able to rant here helps. we will make it. one day at a time, but we will survive this! and you are not alone. i hope you feel better soon x

(gp is referring me to recurrent miscarriage consultant privately and told me wait until he gives the all clear... i dont want to wait. the only thing keeping me positive was ttc right away. but then now i think what's the point of getting bfp if mc is a possibility? maybe there is something wrong with me after all...am very confused... )

emmsy congratulations! lots of sticky dust your way.

MollieMooma · 13/02/2008 13:19

Lou - hugs - can you book a weekend away maybe with the girls or dh give you something else to think about, take your mind off ttc? It's so hard all this waiting, it seems that's all we do, wait to get pg, wait to m/c, wait to OV, wait for AF, god it's neverending!
Bunny sorry to hear your feeling crap as well today. I think it might be cake time again (non-fattening, no calorie ones for Lou of course!)
Keep smiling girls x

cricri · 13/02/2008 15:19

Sorry to hear that so many of us are feeling down at the moment. It is very hard. In addition to posting on here, you could also contact the Miscarriage Association helpline if it helps to actually talk to somebody who has also been through this. Also your local hospital may have a mc counsellor too, although there may be a waiting list. Didn't somebody on this thread go along and find it helpful? I can't remember who that was, sorry. But remember that you're not alone in this and keep talking to us if it helps (((hugs to you all)))
It's definitely time for cake I say. And maybe something stronger for those of us who can indulge... I agree with the waiting being hard, I'm fed up with waiting! Patience is not my strong point!
WorzelMummage Glad you found the thread but sorry you had to join us. Thinking of you today and hope everything went as well as can be expected. (((hugs to you)))
Emmsy, cycle buddy, I congratulated you on the other thread but congratulations again - really hope this is a sticky one for you and fantastic news

cece · 13/02/2008 17:16

Emmsy - [grin[

Came home from work to find this news

No AF yet and last night bd - which we aren't supposed to be doing but donw mow . Wouldn't get pg this close to af would I? Not sure why I am asking... that is now got pg last time...

Emmsy1 · 13/02/2008 20:01

Thanks for all the congratulations girls, please keep your fingers crossed for me, don't think I could cope with another M/C just wanted to sprinkle a bit of baby dust your way .................................................. ................ definately need to keep some back for myself!
cece really do hope all is well, have you rang the docs yet??

ages ago someone on this thread said that it would be a good idea to take baby aspirin as soon as you get your BFP up to 12 weeks?? I took one this morning, does anyone else know any thing about baby aspirin??

jules Thanks for advice I am a little worried that I will M/C if I don't take it as there's a very good chance that I have RA (rheumatoid Arthritis) it hasn't been diagnosed yet, but my little sis is being treated for it with methotrexate (she already has deformities) The Docs are still not sure that her diagnosis is right (may be lupus with some of the symptoms she has) My joints started hurting, approx 13 months ago(toes, fingers, wrists, shoulders, cheek bones) not very painful, but definately something not right! I was also diagnosed with episcleritis last year and now dry eye! My doc has not pursued my joint pains as he knows I have been TTC for the last 18 months (and have been pregnant twice in the last year, but M/C) so don't feel that the doc will advise me correctly, he shrugged his shoulders when I asked him back in september did he think that my M/C was anything to do with my joint pains, don't want to lose another baby while docs decide whats for the best!

cece · 13/02/2008 21:33

Emmsy - maybe you could phone the midwife for some advice.

And no I haven't phoned the docs, will wait for my appointment. DH has convinced me if ti was urgent they would have told me so...
