ohhh bgger twinkle - so sorry it is a BFN for you . Stick with bucky's* positivity and I am sure it will be your month. Hell, that's what I dream every month

P&M and hattyellow - i know how you feel about house prices. DH and and I are both professionals with (by most standards) good salaries, but by virtue of our "odd" jobs, we are tied to central London. We have a nice, but very tiny, flat and I panic about how a baby will fit it!! It's four flights of stairs to the top (no lift), no garden and the (ahem!)"spare" room is a cupboard. We don't own a car any more! Eek!

shreksmissus - I wondered where you had got to

bucky - ::::::::::::::::::

see all those ::::::?! that is positive mental vibes going your way, my girl!!

picknmix - it's been ages since we chatted!

hello to everyone else o7mtw, mibbes, it if good to be back

mibbes · 19/01/2008 10:16

Ha ha fairy no I didn't want to scare him ! I must have similar thermometer to you as it also beeps 10 times - glad he knows am temping now so can beep away without having to kick him out of bed first so I can beep in secret . Spotting is getting more obvious now so expecting AF any day - did a last ditch HPT and no surprise it was BFN. I think I'll join Bucky and Fairy on the postivity train - this will be my month - no reason why not . Just wish she'd come properly so I can get on with it !
You poor ladies from the South of England - move up here to Scotland - you'd be able to afford castles !

Eleveld · 19/01/2008 10:23

Hi

Any of you wise ladies had experience similar to this as it is driving me mad:

Am now 4 days late (am never late, very regular).
Have had kind of AF symptoms for about 10 days now - cramping sore lumpy boobs (I always get the sore boobs before AF but never get the cramps until first day of AF).

BUT have done two early response tests and both negative.

Is driving me mad. Wish AF would just arrive so I can get on with things. There is not the slightest sign of it - normally I have a couple of days of light spotting which should have happened about 5/6 days ago.

I'm assuming I'm definitely not pregnant (because of the negative tests) and AF is just being psychologically delayed?

Please help!

Thanks

mibbes · 19/01/2008 10:37

Eleveld there have been several ladies complaning of late AF but BFN this month - me included (usually 30-35 day cycles and only started pre-AF spotting properly today on CD41 !). I wonder whether the stress/excitement of xmas has caused late ovulation and therefore longer than usual cycles ?... Did you use temps or opks to confirm when you ov'd ?
One the other hand you may just have to wait a little longer for the HcG to build up enough to be detected by HPT. Good luck

Eleveld · 19/01/2008 10:42

Hi Mibbes

Thanks for your message.

Mo I didn't use anything like temps or opks - this is my first month of trying so it's all a bit new to me!

Guess I'll just have to hang on and be impatient!

Good luck to you too

scully · 19/01/2008 11:16

Hiya, yep I remember you EI, sorry, MrsEI How's your dd, hard to believe the little mischiefs are 2 already
Feeling quite blah tonight, have been fine all day, went to the beach (sorry, it's summer here ) but feel quite nauseaus in the last hour. Couldn't possibly be any type of useful sympton though, as today is only cd21.

Bucky2008 · 19/01/2008 11:47

Fairy I know exactly how you feel...I was beyond fed up this month, but after a few days you should feel a little better and hopefully will jump back on board with enthusiasm. Just for Hatty I am going do a positive chant for us all...hmmm, now let me think....

"In with fruit and veg and water out with BFP Pee..." maybe not...

"From postive mental energy grow postive experiences...." ohh that one's quite deep .

I get so angry so quickly at the moment. I actually had a foot stamping fit in the street as Finn nearly dragged me into a canal in the pouring rain this morning. . I was soaking wet anyway and covered in mud, and he was yanking me down the street...wish I had thought of my mantra then! . I have never been an angry person before, not sure where all this rage is coming from . Anyway, the only person who I think saw me was this woman walking too Westies. The fact that she too was walking dogs in such sh*t weather, must surely mean that she is as mad as I am so hey ho. I am calm once again though now!

eleveld I think that has happened to most of us at one time or another. Your LP always stays the same so if AF is later than usual and you are not PG it just means that you ovulated late. Late ovulation could be caused by stress and given that Christmas was just a few weeks ago and was a bit of a change in routine for all of us, it is not uncommon for cycles to go a bit awry. Depending when you ovulated, there is always a small chance that you are testing too early as well. Hang in there and hopefully in a few days you will know one way or the other....in the meantime feel free to hang out here and vent as much as you need to.

abbymeg · 19/01/2008 17:16

Well, staying away from MN in vain hope that conception fairy would see my calm, relaxed attempt to get pg in a casual way and wave her wand when she thought I wasn't really looking and KNOCK ME UP ALREADY didn't work.

Abbymeg is checking back in with symptom spotting avengence.

Cycle 6.

Here we go again.

I hope you're all getting on okay with your own quests for babies. Once again, massive congrats to DG.

Bucky - what cycle are you on now?

Ah your poor DD pistachio How old is she. My DD amuses me with her babbling of morning too Now, when I go through for her in the morning, she is siting up in bed and just gives me a wee wave and a hiya. (She is 16mo)
Aren't they great when they are on form
I wonder if DH will be better with an ill DD later on too, I find my patiences runs thin after only a short time, when DH is ill. But then men are so awful at being ill

Welcome back abbymeg it is a shame that you didn't fool the conception fairy but I am glad that I have a cycle buddy again
hattyyellow how is your wait for AF going, any signs, or even better a BFP?

Back two minutes, and already trying to gross you all out... This comes with a warning...

Has anyone else had different AF since ttc?

I am losing mega blood/jellyclots, the like of which I have not had since post delivery of DD 10 years ago. It is quite scary and it feels gross. My AF was late, and rather than the usual surprise attack, took over a day to start properly. It's also continuing to be quite painful.

Part of me wonders whether (given mega-nipple syndome too ) I am actually getting pg but they're not sticking.

Doctors again for me.

MrsEi25 · 20/01/2008 11:35

hi all
abbey what do the clots look like?? ie how big are they etc i lose small clots every month (except this one) so not unusual to lose small ones but if they are big enough to pick up without squishing them [eww i know] i would save one and take it the docs with you. more will be along soon to pass on their words of wisdom
anywho... i was jus wondering if anyone noticed my question that i posted yesterday?? if yes noone answered me on either thread (apart from a lovely newbie) ah well doesnt matter i have covered the bases BD-wise just in case. i will have to speak a bit louder in future i think the perils of bein softly spoken...
how is everyone doin??

abbymeg · 20/01/2008 11:39

Thanks Mrs; I get clots every month, but one that I had last night was nearly the length of the palm of my hand, solid and maybe an inch or more wide. GRIM!
Oh, and I know that some peple on this thread have ov-d at day 8 before, it certainly sounds likely. Do plenty of b-ding just to be sure !

MrsEi25 · 20/01/2008 11:48

abbey i would put it in a bag and take it to the docs. have you had an infection of some sort recently?? or thrush (you dont have to answer if too personal...sorry) but it sounds like it could either be an infection or the aftermath of one anyway. after DD i had a uterine infection and after i had finished the antibiotics i lost a few clots which were pretty big. have you noticed anythin unusual like any pain or a (sorry again) smell of any sort?? thats what alerted me to the infection. also have you done a test?? as it may be an early MC (sorry to worry you or anythin xx) i had one about 5 years ago (i was 14 weeks tho 12 weeks on size of sac) and the clots i lost were massive from what i remember (sorry if TMI or sounding insensitive etc xx) i would defo get it checked out though xx

MrsEi25....I have had a similar situation to you this month i had loads of ewcm since cd9 so bd every other day and i have also been charting my cervical position...which was high on cd 10 and loads of ewcm.. and i'm now on cd18 and its still high and lots of cm...which is totally different from last month ....so me and dp are doing our best to bd as much as poss..i'd say that would be your best bet also..i have no clue whats going on this month, just bding and hoping for the best!

abbymeg · 20/01/2008 15:56

Mrs thanks for your help. I had tests for infections recently which were all clear. I am suspecting early MC as it's so unusual .

MrsEi25 · 20/01/2008 16:01

abbey hope thats not the case for you {{{{hugs}}}}

Hi Ladies - it looks to have been quite a quiet weekend.
MrsEi it sounds like you may well be hatching an early egg - good to hear you are getting the bd'ing in just in case . When do you usually ov and are you still getting EWCM today ?
Pistachio good to hear your DD is getting back to full health
Hi abbeymeg lovely to meet you, sorry non-obsessive behaviour didn't help. I'm afraid have no experience of clots but if suspected early MC you are right to see your doctor.
Hattyyellow and JollyBear any update on either AF or BFPs..?
TEW is dragging her heels here - day 3 of spotting , I wish she'd just get on with it so I can start afresh.

fruitloop79 · 20/01/2008 16:12

hi guys, I was wondering if you'd mind if I joined you ladies on the TWW? I never actually know if I'm on the TWW cos I haven't discovered when I ov yet but I've been reading your posts today and abbey I had something similar to you.
It was my last AF (after a cycle of 88 days!) I had major clots. Never seen anything like it. They were solid nd hard to break. and very dark. I assumed I wasn't PG cos I did loads of test prior to my AF. I just put it down to having 3 months worth of AF but not entirely sure I kind of forgot about it till I read your post.

fruitloop79 · 20/01/2008 16:14

Oh yeah, I would love to know what the doc says

MrsEi25 · 20/01/2008 16:20

hi mibbes thanx i have still got EWCM but only a little bit today so hopefully i havent Ovd yet so i can get a BD in tonight when DH gets home from work i prob will anyway just dont like to think i might have missed the egg i did BD when i first noticed the EWCM but i have had more pain today so we will see what happens and also i would prob be due AF around day 24 or so which is really early for me as im usually 28-30 days oh i dont know its so confusing all this TTC lark!!
sorry to see TEW is draggin her feet for you she can be a bitch cant she xx

Welcome Fruitloop recognise you from the waiting room .
I actually thought of you and your long cycles when a friend of mine told me that after coming off the pill she had a 90 day and a 50 day cycle - the good news is she is pregnant now .
