hello MrsH - welcome back!

Nothing to report in the way of symptoms, but still had a little EWCM last night so pounced on poor DH when he came home from work after a 15 hour day (bless him he's very nice about being used - obsessed with TTC? me?! ). I have noticed that I am getting EWCM for a longer period of time - 5 days at least - which is good on the one hand because at least I am getting lots of it and bad on the other hand because it leaves a wider possibility/time for hatching eggs. Can I ask you lovely ladies how long your EWCM lasts for each month on average? is there an optimum?

fruitloop/mibbes - i think that is an excellent way to slightly pull the wool over your DP's eyes. The information is bound to be useful to the doctor too, so it can only help.

hellooooooo to everyone else. It is quiet and echo-y round here today

digitalgirl · 22/01/2008 13:12

PMSL at LOTV and Seed Lotion

GG I seem to remember that Yardley bottle being perched on top of our family toilet for many years. I think it was one of those xmas pressies that kept doing the rounds.

Feeling very un-sympytomy today.... Digibean is misbehaving with some light brown spotting. Oh well, not long till we go off on our holiday, keeping my fingers very tightly crossed that it will be uneventful and rather dull (albeit in a very relaxing, beautiful kind of way)

JollyBear · 22/01/2008 13:20

Hello all and welcome missusH GG Not sure about EWCM I'm afraid! The more of it the better though I would have thought Keep up that BD'ing!!

FL and Mibbes I agree with GG an excellent idea. It WILL help you understand your cycle better which would be of interest to your Dr. Tell DH that the Dr suggested it!

Factoring in my different wake up times (I didn't realise it was so critical ) my temp hasn't risen but judging by my CM I was gearing up to ov . I did an OPK yest and got a v faint line but the instructions said only a v dark line is positive. I don't think I am going to ov at all this cycle now!

MissusH · 22/01/2008 13:20

Thanks GG - nice to be here

I am very def on the 2ww mibbes - am on cd33!! My cycles are normally around 31 days but I had a 28 day one in Oct followed by a cheeky 35 dayer last time. I'm not getting my hopes up but I reckon I'll test at the weekend if af is still a no-show.

I have no real symptoms - boobs are a bit tender, still have plenty of cm so no desert knickers here, and no cramps or anything... Could be hopeful, or could be body playing tricks again!

JollyBear · 22/01/2008 13:23

crossposts DG Digibean is probably just getting cosy and embedding itself further. Take it easy though and let DH wait on you.

When do you leave for your holiday?

glastochick · 22/01/2008 13:35

Afternoon all.

most bizarre symptoms here. Usually have very sore (.)(.) from OV until the day or so before AF arrival. Got my +ve on my OPKs on CD16, so figure I OV'd then or on CD17. So, on CD18 the sore (.)(.) kick in. Yesterday I was fine until I got home then started snapping at DH for no reason, then getting weepy when he asked why I was getting huffy with him. Very very tired so took myself off to bed only to dream we were at a hospital and David Bowie was there. Then Tom Jones was in the car park shouting at one of our cats!

Woke up this morning still feeling tired but sore (.)(.) are nowhere near as sore as they were.

Feeling befuddled to say the least.

DG hope you're taking it easy and Digibean is just settling in for the months ahead

mibbes · 22/01/2008 15:34

DG hope all is well with digibean - have heard that small amount of spotting normal, like JB says, just use it as an excuse to take it very easy .
JB do you usually have such long cycles ? Is it possible you could still ov - just a very very late egg ? At least you are temping and opking so you have a good chance of catching it if it does put in an appearance. I messed up by giving up on opks on CD25 as assumed had missed it, and then about the time FF now thinks I did ov I did have a smal amount of EWCM but disregarded it as thought AF was almost due. I really do think we'll learn a lot from using FF , especially me
MrsH sounds promising... hope TEW stays away - fingers crossed !
GC strange dreams are definitely a symptom but seriously, moodiness and feeling emotional .. sounds good to me (from a symptom prespective iykwim). By the way "befuddled" what a great word !

JollyBear · 22/01/2008 16:46

mibbes I had some long cycles early last year 41 and 45 days and one 62 fruitloop is thinking "they're not long cycles"!! I did an OPK the other day just because of the EWCM I had, I've not been doing them regularly because like you I've been expecting AF to arrive!

Glasto That sounds promising. Naughty old Tom Jones upsetting your felines.

MissusH Hope AF stays away for you!

BabyBump2B · 22/01/2008 18:01

Morning All (well its evening for you but morning for me in Canada!)

Glasto - wow sounds very similar to what I experienced last week. Sadly Dr thinks I ended up having an early mc but at least I know we can conceive! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

DG take it easy and take extra special care of the two of you... think the holiday is coming at the perfect time!

MissusH - fingers crossed for you too!

BB2B waves Hi to everyone!

MrsEi25 · 22/01/2008 18:41

Hi MrsEI!

I'm good! Have decided to try and get all healthy ready for the next round of trying!

Also today in Vancouver is beautiful - clear blue sky and loads of sun

I love the secret temping idea my DH looked at me like I was taking it a wee bit too far when I mentioned doing temps... well I need something to focus on don't I?

xoxo

MrsEi25 · 22/01/2008 19:25

well it was cloudy grey sky and rain here today so im obv a bit of you
we should form a secret temping alliance or somethin seems as how there is quite a few of us havin to hide it from our DH/DPs men are funny creatures arent they

This 2ww is much worse than than 2ww after ov
Am fed up already!
When will something exciting happen?

I am just floating around in the background, lugging into your conversations, with nothing of my own to add.

Though I was greatly amused by the LOTV convo Where would you find that stuff anyway?

Thanks for the thoughts on AF length. Mine seems to be stretching out to 5 days with only 3 of those being anything at all. The rest just nuisance spotting. But still, a total of 5 days sounds healthy enough to me, now.
You see, I was just trying to make this rubbish phase a bit more interesting.

twinklingfairy · 22/01/2008 23:25

I met a pregnant friend today, at toddlers, and though I was perfectly pleasant, it was V hard to feel happy for her (I really am though, she is a lovely lady, I like her a lot). She and I both began trying for #2 at the same time, though she really wasn't too fussy. She got pregnant unexpectedly and is now rather large Due 1st April and here I am still not pregnant

That is probably not helping my bordem(sp??) with this part of the month

FurtivelyPosting · 23/01/2008 09:30

Morning all! Hello and welcome MissusH!

It's official - I have noew entered the Totally Obsessive Phase of my 2WW. I've been getting the odd wave of nausea, I'm really tired and a bit grumpy all of the time, my boobs have started to feel heavy and tingly (although not sore) and yesterday I did a horrible and completely unexpected 'mouth-sick'. I've also started to have mad dreams featuring celebrities! A friend of mine is getting married in a couple of weeks (in real life) and in my dream we were going to check out her venue and ended up at the wedding of Gisele Bundchen, which just so happened to be taking place there. Gisele made us all go and stand on a hill outside the venue while Robert Downey Jr did a hammy poetry recital in which he rolled his eyes around a lot. Gisele stood behind him, adopting a series of supermodel poses. We were rather disappointed that she'd chosen to wear a grey cardigan over her wedding dress. We all went back inside to eat and my friend told me that she wasn't speaking to her husband to be because he'd tried to call the wedding off on account of his being gay!! Then I woke up. I reckon that I am either pregnant or just plain mad. I suspect the latter.

JollyBear · 23/01/2008 10:14

Morning all,

FP someone on the symptom spotters thread is having vivid dreams too! Hope you both get BFPs!!

TF TTC does involve lots of boring waiting around. I'm quite jealous of your 5 day AF! Fancy swapping for a 7 day one?!

My temp rose a bit today but not much hopefully this is my long awaited thermal shift.

MissusH · 23/01/2008 10:17

morning everyone - am doing ninja posting today cos I have lurking bosses!!

FP am liking the Gisele dream

TF I also get when I hear of new bfps. Is it wrong to feel and at the same time...?

BB2B am of Canada, I'm stuck in bloomin' Coleshill with a view of a brick wall (nice)

Well, still no sign of af, cd 34... I have not been too obsessive this month as I have been obsessing over weightwatchers instead!!

As I posted in the waiting room, I'm hoping sods law will prevail and I'll have to leave cos of a bfp!!

Right, boss alert, back later (mrs slinks off...)

GryffinGirl · 23/01/2008 11:09

hello everyone

BB2B - I am just back from Canada (last week), but in Ontario. We had a lovely time although it was -18C. Brrrrrr!

MrsH - lol at ninja boses. Luckily no one can see my computer and I have an office I can hide out in.

Jolly and MrsEi - I didn't have any vivid dreams last night, 'cause I was wide awake for 5 hours having a Work Panic about something I thought I'd mucked up . Does anyone else ever get those? Anyway, it was all absolutely fine when I got to work this morning [relief emoticon], but no baby dreams and no sleep for me due to worrying, so I am a grumpy old cow today .

Still no symptoms for me. CD19, so the dull part of the month.

Morning ladies, CD 5 for me so big yawn and nothing exciting to report...although I keep also having stupidly vivid dreams I don't think even I could claim that as a symptom at this stage in my cycle! Maybe we are all eating too much cheese!

The most exciting thing to have happened to me today is that my thread about getting my toddlers to eat proper meals has made it to the home page as active threads of the day

mibbes · 23/01/2008 12:36

FP mad dream sounds promising as do your other symptoms...
HCB JollyBear how much did your temp rise - I posted my temp change on waiting room for you so you can get an idea what is going on with mine
Fairy are you not approaching opk time soon..? Good work obsessing about AF length instead, constant obsessing is important to fertility ! as MrsH knows with her WW obsession. I am considering joining the local gym and obsessing over fitness for the next 2 weeks.... or maybe I can't be @rsed...
BB2B kindly keep your Canadian weather reports to yourself ! It is minging here and we don't want to be of you all the time !!!
GG not so good on the sleep-front. Think of it as traning for 9 months time... IKWYM about work panics - they are not good.
shreksmissus good to hear from you - lucky you with your super-short cycles - are you planning to test at the weekend or will you wait until late ? Great that you are not obsessing, but symptoms sound promising and have fingers tightly crossed for you .
hatty LOL at your MN fame !
MTW where are you - haven't heard from you for a while...?

Oohh and I can't believe I forgot to say that AF finally came properly last night so am on CD1 - woohoooo thanks goodness that evil cycle is over
Am at the ready with new thermometer, digi-opks and a brand new chart on FF - bring it on !

Fairy have you started taking Vit B6 ? I am going to try it this cycle to see if it stops my spotting - although on 'paper' had a 14 day luteal phase which seems good, 5 of those days were spotting which is bad - I'll report my findings back
