Hello Bucky EI Scully Coolkat Mibbes Scary Jollybear Twinkling anyone I may have missed and all the newbies on here.

Just popping in to say hi cos I miss you lot.

Bucky I feel for you. I keep looking at this and the waiting room thread and it's amazing how many oldies have gone and newbies are arriving. I do hope you get your BFP soon. Hopefully the tests will help. I'm glad Finn dog is better.

I'm ok apart from extreme tiredness I don't really have any symptoms which goes to show symptom spotting can be difficult to predict a BFP

Good luck to ALL of you for a BFP this cycle.

07mumstheword · 20/02/2008 08:59

MOB How could I have missed you I know the advert you mean, it tugs on your heart strings doesn't it. It's a good idea to go to doctors after this cycle if nothing happens as you definately should get some help at your age that sounded rude but you know what I mean

GG Sorry I forgot you too, hope all is going well in the GG household.

madoldbird · 20/02/2008 09:05

Good to hear you are well MTW. No, it wasn't rude - i AM old and decrepid (sp??) or, at least, i feel it at times!!!

JollyBear · 20/02/2008 09:58

Hello all!

MTW Great to hear from you! Glad all is well with you.

bucky It must be really hard having been here for a while, I've only been here four months (lurking for 5 and lots of new people have come and gone in that time. I hope that you don't disappear because you are a great person to have around

hattyyellow · 20/02/2008 10:05

Morning all! Sorry to hear BFNs...

MOB felt quite tearful at your husband watching that advert, really hope it happens for you soon...

love the sixth form analogy..can I join too on cycle err 6? Can we all spend our free periods drinking coffee, flicking our hair furiously and smoking at the local cafe like my sixth form did?

Had a quick chat with doctor yesterday, tiny village practice with loads of appointments -it's one great reason for having left London and moved to the sticks!

He said they can do an initial examination in the practice before I get to a year of trying, where they feel your ovaries and uterus to see if they feel inflamed/enlarged/cystic..

he offered to do it then and there as I was last patient of the day but it sounded so painful I chickened out and said I would book in next week..anyone know anything about this? He said it's an internal examination but ow, ow, ow how on earth do they feel your ovaries without splitting you in half?? My biology might be sorely lacking here!

hattyyellow · 20/02/2008 10:47

Have looked on the net and found that it is an internal exam, link below if anyone else interested in reading about ovarian cysts..

www.womenshealthlondon.org.uk/leaflets/ovarian/ovacystsymp.html

Still thought the ovaries were higher up to reach than that!?

Yearrrggghhh, I hate internal exams

JollyBear · 20/02/2008 11:03

hatty It is good your Dr will have a look at you before 1 year! Internals are horrible but at least it will let you know what is going on. Let us know how it goes.

Oooh I feel like nervous now, hanging out with chic short skirted six formers. I presume you are spending all your dinner money on cigarettes and the NME!!

hattyyellow · 20/02/2008 11:16

JB I know I was amazed that he suggested it..I think they're pretty quiet at the moment as they recently opened!

He seemed to think i have various symptoms of PCOS but it hadn't been spotted before because (a) I'm not overweight which is normally a factor and..

(b) I was on the pill for years and then got pregnant quite quickly after coming off it, so the symptoms were masked during my time on the pill and my cycle regulated by the pill when I first came off it allowing me to get pregnant..

ps was never cool enough for NME, probably more like Just Seventeen! Is that still going I wonder?

When is your liver scan? Soon I think?

JollyBear · 20/02/2008 11:28

hatty Hopefully he will refer you to a gyne quicker if he suspects PCOS. Did you think you might have PCOS? Hope you're OK and it wasn't a shock

My scan is a week tomorrow, eeek. I'm thinking positive thoughts .

GryffinGirl · 20/02/2008 11:34

hello everyone!

Like Bucky I am lurking, but nothing much to report at the moment - no symptoms and nothing happening - so haven't posted much. BD-ing hasn't been as regular as it should have been this month because of DH working like a dog and me being fast asleep when he comes home at night in the wee small hours then leaves early in the morning. i think a BFP will be even more remote. He literally is my "dream" DH at the moment, because I usually see him in my sleep . Bucky you cant disappear - I am another old timer and I am sure I will be around for a while yet as nothing ever happens to me .

hello jolly - sorry if I missed anything on the thread (have only managed to skim it) but did your scan go ok? Thinking of you

coolcat - it's great to have you with us and so sorry to hear about the BFN

ooooh hatty - ouch at the sound of the internal examination. I think I have that to look forward to soon

hello 07MTW and madoldbird - it's great talking with you guys . DH's results are due end of this week or beginning of next week. They said it was 2-3 weeks for the results and he went on Thursday 7th Feb. He is getting a little nervous I think. I'll keep everyone posted on the results (he said I could )

Moadoldbird - that story about your DH made me smile and go a bit teary at the same time. Fingers crossed for you.

hello to scully MrsEi tapster lou

GryffinGirl · 20/02/2008 11:36

jolly - crossed posts with you. Scan next week - fingers crossed for you!

ShakeysGirl · 20/02/2008 12:01

Made me laugh about the 6th form - i have to dress up as a school girl on the 2nd of March for a party lol i went to it last year and have some truly embarrassing pictures to remind me of it! I love theme nights, we did a beach party a couple of weeks ago. Dp organises them, hmm girls in swimwear and now in school uniform i think he has an agenda lol
jolly i dont know about stamina, i tend to lie there and do nothing quite often lol

mibbes · 20/02/2008 14:02

Jollybear HCB, Hi missus ! I meant to say the other day that although bummer I am out this month, you are right that it is great I have had a normal length cycle again - phew ! Will be sending lots of positive vibes next week, hope you get the all clear.
hatty hope the internal isn't too bad. I wonder if I'll be sent for one when go to the docs next week as one of the main issues spotting can be a sign of is fibrioids and they'd need to look inside to see if there are any in there . I don't relish the prospect but if there is something in there preventing implantation and that could potentially cause mc if bean did implant then I want it sorted out ASAP.
I think I'll be doing a Bucky and just lurk and post if anything to report. There will be nothing happening for at about 3 weeks on the ttc front as approx 3 days until AF then another 16+ until ov. I'll pop back with what happens at Doc appt though.
Wishing you all lots of BFPs !

coolkat · 20/02/2008 19:25

HI LADIES

Just a quick one as I am not feeling well, full of cold, ears and eyes kill, chest sore .
Tested about 1/2 hour ago and got BFN again. Decided what will be will be, won't test now till weekend then may go docs. So tired today, me and DH had huge argument earlier and its upset me don't argue that often but when we do christ.

I see its been really busy on here so just a few bits I have picked up on

Shakeys girl, jealous about ring good luck this month.

Bucky good to see you, I understand what you are saying but stick with us we need to share your happiness when your BFP arrives.

Ei your doing a grand job keeping everyone going with your positivety - Keep it up!

GG good to hear from you, I know what you mean me and DH are like passing ships sometimes Keep in touch.

Jolly good luck with scan. x

Right ladies off to chill, my apologies to anyone I have missed, not on top form today!! infact messed up big spread sheet at work today

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 20/02/2008 20:22

hatty poor you with the internal but hopefully it will help answer your questions or at least put you on the right track to getting your baby
MOB aahhh your story about your Dh almost made me weep xx he sounds so nice you both really deserve a BFP this cycle or soon at least
GG good luck for the results i hope it is ok for you both or even if it isnt quite as positive that he can get the treatment needed im sure all will be fine and the same with you it might just be a case of rotten luck and you will get your long awaited BFP
anyone iv missed??
nowt happening here but DH has been very forthcoming in the BD department so i am a little shattered but hey ho whos complaining!!
xx ei xx

madoldbird · 21/02/2008 07:22

An early good morning to everyone!

I am sorry i nearly made several of you cry yesterday!! Wasn't my intention to depress everyone. However, i am sure you are definitely all pregnant or about to be - being emotional and teary is a symptom, right?

hattyyellow i can imagine how apprehensive you must feel about the internal, but i guess at least the GP is being thorough, and taking you seriously. Practice mentally "going" somewhere else in preparation (nice garden / beach with crashing waves / arms of Sean Bean) so you can relax and switch off while he's doing it.

GG it can be so hard sometimes, all this BDing. I know often i'd rather just have a sleep! It must be doubly difficult when you are not often together at the right time. Don't give up all hope this month, though, as it only takes the once! How lovely of your DH to let you share his results with us. (Although, hope you would have done anyway, ) Don't think DH/P's realise half the stuff we tell each other on here.

Mibbes Do let us know how it goes at the docs. And don't disappear for too long!

coolkat so sorry to hear you sounding so down and poorly. A BFN is even worse to deal with when you are not feeling well. Hope you and DH have sorted things out now.

EI lucky you - MrEI being so eager!! Long may it continue, although i hope he doesn't exhaust you so much that you are too tired to come on MN!!

Still nothing to report here. (.)(.) very slightly tender, but not like normal when i screech in agony if DC's / DH / cats climb all over them at this point in my cycle. Am trying not to obsess with the thought that maybe i didn't ovulate (after the egg is released, it is the corpus luteum left behind that releases the progesterone that causes the pre-AF symptoms... i think...so if i didn't ovulate... no corpus luteum... no symptoms....) Aaaarrrgggghhhh someone stop me!!! I will definitely try and get around to temping next month, which should show if i have ov'ed.

Hope everyone is ok today (inc. everyone i haven't mentioned personally)

digitalgirl · 21/02/2008 10:10

hello ladies, been lurking...not much to report here other than I think we're fine.

hatty I had a quick internal when I went to see the gynae about my long cycles. Was actually less uncomfortable than the smear I'd just had. She stuck a couple of fingers up there and had a feel around for the size of my uterus. She then booked me in for an ultrasound scan to check size of ovaries and other things. Wasn't so bad.

Hope that helps

DG x

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 21/02/2008 11:41

morning ladies
DG nice to 'see' you and im glad all is well with you you should be due your 12 week scan soon shouldnt you??
MOB wasnt it MTW who had absolutely no symptoms whatsoever AF or otherwise and she still got her BFP she was only saying before she tested that she thought hers was an anovulatory cycle if i remember rightly you never know that could be you soon when are you due to test?? fingers crossed for your BFP
xx ei xx

EiWishFor3MoreWishes · 21/02/2008 13:22

do you girls think its high time for a new (and even luckier) thread?? we are up to post 945 in a few short weeks!! should i do it or does someone else wanna do the honours
xx ei xx

coolkat · 21/02/2008 18:33

Core blimey where has everyone gone?

Hi Madoldbird, this time of the month is horrible isn't it. I might start temping or something so I can keep track better.

DG good to hear from you, glad its going well.

Ei new thread sounds like a good plan!

No news here just poorly with 'fluey' bug, feel vile morning and night but not so bad in day, been to work but wasn't very productive! AF still AWOL, CD 36 so something should happen soon

Just been and got pup a new kennel and DD really excited wants to build it now also felt really bad as gave her MD's for tea just can't be arsed to cook. I had Beans on Toast.

Sorry for pointless ramble. X

madoldbird · 22/02/2008 07:16

Wow, it was quiet on here yesterday!

Purleeeease EI make us a bright new shiny lucky thread -then lets get chatting and accumulating those BFP's!

(I'd be quite happy to start the thread, but i think EI with her mystical powers, may bring us more luck )

scully · 22/02/2008 12:12

Hi everyone, hope your feeling better Coolkat. Lovely story Madoldbird, hopefully it will happen for you soon. Know what you mean about bding GG, we are also too tired a lot of the time, and not on the same schedule.
I'm currently watching Fool's Gold, Matthew McConauchey

GryffinGirl · 22/02/2008 12:19

hello everyone

just popping in to say no symptoms here,. but then, it was always thus

hi madoldbird and ei.

Ei - yes, what abotu a shiny new thread for all us 2WW-ers round here. mayeb it can be my "lucky" thread and a BFP will be mine

madoldbird - I said to DH that I would share his results with you lovely ladies and he was fine about it. We haven't heard anything yet, but he will chase from Monday. I tried to get him to register and post as "GryffinBoy" , I suggested, but he looked terrified at the prospect. He thinks MN is scary and that he will be inundated with cyber hugs and sympathy if the results are not as good as hoped .

Does anyone know how doctors give you back the results? The GP gets them, I know, but presumably if the sperm test is ok, they tell you, "you're completely fine" over the phone, but if things are bad they suck their breath through their teeth and whisper in doom-laden tones "I think you'd better come into the surgery...."

Digital - you are lurking, hurrah! Thinking of you and digi-bean
coolcat are you feeling better today? Are you ok after the argument with your DH? It's horrible and so thinking of you and big ((((hugs)))))

hello to mibbes jollybear shakey - sorry to anyone missed off.

hatty - have you had your internal exam. Are you ok today?

Is anyone testing this weekend? Fingers crossed TEW stays faaaaaaar away! Another week for me, but I am not hopeful as suggested. DH is now at home more (he comes in at 10pm - a vast improvement on last week ), but we have missed the boat for pro-creational BD-ing, so I am quite looking forward to recreational BD-ing with no pressure.
anyone got any exciting plans for the weekend? DH is off to Wembley for the football, so I am doing girly, shopping things with my friends

GryffinGirl · 22/02/2008 12:23

scully - I can sympathise with the "ships passing in the night" relationship! Poor you too.

My DH is very over-worked, but I can't get him to slow down so we missed the OV boat this month unless any little swimmers - assuming there are any (to be confirmed by THE TEST ) lingered up there. oops sorry if TMI .

GryffinGirl · 22/02/2008 12:24

p.s ooops, I nearly forgot BUCKY! are you out there, Buck-ster? Cooooeeeeee!!!
