Hello all,

Congrats swaliswan!

bucky I'm so sorry AF has arrived . I hope your visit to the doctor goes ok.

I'm off for a few days now, so I want to hear about some symptoms when I get get back on Friday, especially you HCB mibbes!

My temp is still high BUT yesterday I really felt AF was on her way, no sign yet... knowing my luck it will be in the middle of some cringey teamworking thing tomorrow .

Byeeeeee

Bucky2008 · 12/02/2008 10:24

Hey welcome JerryErnie always nice to have a new addition to our clan AND we are cycle buddies. Hurrah, I don't feel so sh*t now. I love having a cycle buddy.

How long are your cycles?

Anyway, hope you won't be on here for long (because you will get that BFP) and feel free to tell us whatever is on your mind.

And just ignore me when I waffle on about rubbish, I tend to do that quite a bit and half of it is usually off topic!

mibbes · 12/02/2008 10:40

Morning Ladies !

Bucky so sorry TEW got you , was hoping it'd be your month, grrr... you seem to have bounced back much more quickly this month though which is good . Give the doctor the full story (with some elaboration where you feel it wil help !) and hopefully he'll be on the case getting you/DP all fixed up
Welcome JerryErnie, sorry AF arrived but you are in good company here, you have chosen the best ttc thread, well done .
swaliswan having never had a BFP I can't really help but listen to MTW she speaks wisely. Hopefully there will be other BPFers along to help out and reassure you
JollyBear HCB high temps on CD16 a very, very good sign ! The AF feelings could be ligament stretching pains of the bean ! I don't want to raise your hopes (although mine are sky high for you !) Hope you manage to successfully cringe your way through all the w@anky roleplay cr@p you'll no doubt be asked to do over the next few days ! 'See' you Thu . And dont worry, by Thu I will be 6dpo and will have invented millions of symptoms ! Today I only have 'tired'...so far !!!! It is not even midday - loads of time for me to come up with more

MrsEi25 · 12/02/2008 10:46

sorry TEW turned up bucky, glad you've got a doc appointment to look forward to though. maybe you'll get a BFP before you get your test results as is the cliche (well, it was my second set of test results when it happened to me).

re: your opk to AF question...I have to admit that I don't fully trust opks as an accurate indication of ovulation. I had at least two positive opks that didn't result in an egg (AF followed 4 weeks later in both cases). 11 days is the shorter end of a luteal phase, so perhaps some of the reflexology sessions has been affecting it and making a bit longer - which is good, more time for the bean to implant.

JB fingers crossed AF stays away during your course (and doesn't return for a year).

DG waves to all the symptom spotters, I'm 8 weeks today (fingers crossed). Not really suffering from MS so much this week (perhaps its the constant eating), but boobs don't take well to being woken up in the middle of the night for loo trips. Spotting easing, but still waiting for a spot-free day.

MrsEi25 · 12/02/2008 11:24

hi DG glad to hear you and digibean are doing well WOW 8 weeks!! (8 down 32 to go xx)

Hello again, I'm off to bed soon Good to hear you're doing well DG.
Welcome Jerry
No news here, just waiting for ovulation which should be sometime this week......

mibbes · 12/02/2008 12:12

Hey DG great to hear from you ! I can't believe that is 8 weeks already Why are your boobs upset at night-time toilet trips ?

digitalgirl · 12/02/2008 13:44

hey mibbles I think it's the change in direction of gravity from lying down for a few hours, then getting up...really hurts for a minute or so. wouldn't think little b-cups could inflict any pain .

just popped out to get a valentine's day card for DH - the card shop was rammed, had to fight my way through!

madoldbird · 12/02/2008 13:56

A big hello everyone.

I am so sorry that i disappeared for a while. i was just really fed-up and down about ttc and things in general, that i have stayed away. i hope you will all forgive me and let me back on the thread! I have been really ratty with DH, even telling him that i wanted to stop trying (though, of course, that's the last thing i want to do). He then said that if i made that decision it could destroy us, and that knocked some sense into me. I am on CD13, after an early AF last time (must go and change my stats in the waiting room).

I hope everyone is well. i will read through and catch up with things. I do see though, that congratulations are in order for MTW that's wonderful!! And DG good to hear that you and digibean are doing well. I cannot believe that you are 8 weeks already.

I am off to have my first visit to a reflexologist in a minute, in an attempt to be positive about things. Once again, i hope you'll forgive me for being away for so long...

MrsEi25 · 12/02/2008 14:19

hey MOB nice to see you back here we have missed you ggod luck with the reflexologist i am looking into going to see one myself is it wrong to go and book an appointment without telling my DH?? he is not very supportive of any extra measures for TTC

MOB lovely to see you - poor you getting so down about ttc. Going to a reflexologist is a great way to approach things positively but in the meantime

Oh no mrsei You can't have that title, that happens to me all the time. Mostly cos I am a bit of an insomniac and am always posting after everyone has gone to bed

Well, NTR here again. Boobs are not really hurting anymore and I now realise thet they did this last month. I was convinced that I was gonna get a BFP cos my boobs were feeling so full, but they calmed down and I thought maybe not. AF turned up and it is all happening again this month

On the happy side, my fave big bro has just announced that his GF is 7 weeks pregnant
I couldn't be happier for him. He was with an older lady for a long time and the family thought that he was not going to get the chance to be a daddy to his own child. They split up about 2 years ago, he met his GF, is head over heels in love and now a baby is on the way!
We are a catholic family and they are not married, so I thought I had some time to get my #2 first, but I really am surprising myself with how happy I am for them

GryffinGirl · 12/02/2008 18:38

wooohooo - it's madoldbird back in the 2WW fold. Of course we welcome you back and there is no need to apologise to us for disappearing. Everyone here needs time out. After 14 cycles or something I get fed up too, so I know what you mean about wanting to stay away for a while until you get your head together. We're so glad to have you back

ScaryHairy · 12/02/2008 19:04

It's good to see you again Madoldbird. You don't need to apologise for having a break - we all need time off sometimes. Having recently been a total misery and banned myself from the thread for a couple of weeks I know exactly how you feel!

Lovely news for your brother TF and nice that you are so happy for them. It's hard not to be, isn't it? A new baby is just a lovely thing.

Sorry TEW turned up Bucky.

Welcome to JerryErnie. This thread's really nice. So much so that if I ever get my BFP I rather suspect they'll need to drag me off to the ante-natal threads kicking and screaming!

Good evening to Mibbes, Ei, DG, Scully, GG and anyone I had accidentally missed with my speedy typing. Hope you're all well.

No news from here. I haven't had any more spotting and it is still too early to test. I think I ov'd last Tuesday so the earliest date at which I could sensibly test is Friday, I think. Which won't stop me giving it a go before then. I don't even have any symptoms. My temp went higher again today but I am fighting a cold so I suspect that is the cause...

Someone was asking about OPKs and the time lag before ovulation I think? I've found loads of useful information on www.peeonastick.com on all sorts of timing-type queries, so it might be worth a look.

See you all later.

ScaryHairy · 12/02/2008 21:16

Great, now I've killed the thread.

Hrrrmphh.

Hey Bucky, I'm so pleased we're cycle buddies! My cycles are normally about 27 days, how about yours? I'm going to surf the ovulation calendar websites soon to find out when to try again.

ShakeysGirl · 12/02/2008 22:25

I hope no one minds me joining this thread but dp and i are ttc and everyone here seems so supportive. My last af was jan 7th and having just been to the bathroom it seems to have re appeared today. One of our problems is that dp struggles to ejaculate and rarely does although can when hes masturbating as he does it in a very strange way than we can't replicate during sex. He had surgery on his testicles when he was younger which has only left him with one. Anyhow hello everyone and sorry for gate crashing!

MrsEi25 · 12/02/2008 22:39

hello shakeysgirl and welcome to this lovely thread sorry AF turned up for you today and for the troubles TTC what cycle are you on? im up to cycle 4 as of sunday and im TTC#2 ive got a DD who is 2.1 how about you??
