Congratulations Swaliswan and welcome if I didn't say it before.

JB BFNs suck!!

Bucky waves to everyone else and commences her self consumed post....

Well she has not shown up yet...although I feel a bit like she is on her way now. This whole thing has me confused though...DG help meeeeee.....

Last month (much like several months before)
CD14 - negative OPK
CD15 - OPK
CD16 - negative OPK assumed ov.
CD28/CD1 AF turned up (11 day LP)

This month
CD14 - negative OPK
CD15 - (pm) OPK
CD16 - (am & pm) OPK
CD17 - negative OPK assumed ov add 11 days means that AF should have been today I guess. I actually thought the egg would have hatched during the super long surge hence why I was expecting AF on Sunday?

Anyway, if no AF today....what is going on? I thought the LP didn't change. Can the egg hatch that 2 days after a 2 day surge?

mibbes · 11/02/2008 20:41

Bucky you are right LP is supposed to be the same give or take a day. I am almost sure I ov'd at 12 hours after my last +ve opk this month assuming the bleed meant was ov'ing. Also had 2 day surge (+ve Thu am and pm and Fri am then bleed Fri pm) Are you testing tomorrow or holding on ?

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 20:45

bucky have you tested again?? maybe do one with FMU in the mornin if she hasnt turned up by then
i have a feeling one of the 'regulars' is going to get a BFP over the next few days (before thursday!!) i keep thinking everytime i check so something is going to happen no dreams about it yet but lets wait and see

ooh, ooh dream about me mrsei dream about me!!

Brill news swaliswan I am sure it will be a sticker. Remind me though, sorry, you have a LO already? How old are they again. I am so nosey!
Bucky, weren't you going to leave testing until Thursday cos you were going away? Or am I getting you mixed up with someone else? So many names, so many details, poor fairy's head cannot cope

Bucky2008 · 11/02/2008 21:24

Not me going away Fairy . I wish!

I don't have any more tests thank goodness, the BFNs just make me sadder and sadder. I'm sure AF will turn up tomorrow .

In fact I am getting a bit hysterical with all my overanalysing this month .

I booked my doctors appointment for Thursday, as this will be officially Cycle 10, although its actually Cycle 11 and I didn't use any contraception after miscarriage in September 2006!!! Just wasn't actively ttc till about April 2007.

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 21:58

bucky i would say to the GP that you have been trying from your 'proper' TTC starting date if you get me he is much more likely to take you seriously if you tell him how long you have actually been TTC whether you had a MC or not and whether you were trying or not. you havent used contraception for 17 months so he should check you out anyway if you get what im getting at i hope you dont need the refferal and you have to tell your gp you have a BFP

Bucky2008 · 11/02/2008 22:10

I think I know what you mean Ei. Its just weird, first time I ttc it only took 3 months. Then the MC. Then I went off the idea for 6 months but never went back on the pill and now its been AGES...I guess I will tell him the truth?

twinklingfairy · 11/02/2008 22:25

It seems to me that you have to play up your dates and things, to get attention, not play them down, cos then they will fob you off.
Isn't it awful that you have to play the system at all, why can't they just help. Just because you don't have anything, visably, wrong with you doesn't mean that you ought to be treated with any less respect
I know my doc will defo make me feel like an obsesssed woman if I have to ask for help.
When I spoke to him about my UTI I told him I was TTC and that I was temping and I felt as if I ought to apologise for it.

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 22:34

exactly TF thats what i meant aswell only you said it a bit better than i did i have never had a good gp who takes my concerns seriously and i always feel as if i have to aplogise for asking for their "expert" help

Wonder what he will say when I say that I have been trying since September 2006 and am only now coming to the doctor??? . I'll be sure to let you know.

off topic: I have just been read the meanest thread about 'names'..... They are being so nasty to each other!

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 22:51

they always are i dont go near those threads as (almost) every name i like is slated and theyre nice names!! even as far as my DDs name so i gave up!! you need a referee on some of them honestly

Your dd has a lovely name EI, those threads are ridiculous sometimes, naming a baby is such a personal thing.
Congrats Swaliswan, wonderful news
Sorry af arrived for some of you, hopefully she will stay away next month.
Well I am on cd16 today, had positive opk's on Sunday (cd14) and again today (cd16), dh & I finally managed to bd last night and will tomorrow night as well hopefully, fingers crossed Don't feel like I've ovulated yet so hopefully we weren't too late.
Hello to everyone!

lou2311 · 12/02/2008 08:14

YAY!!!!! Swaliswan I am soooo happy for you, it is great news. I really hope it is a sticky healthy bean!! Lou xxx

07mumstheword · 12/02/2008 08:15

I didn't get on here yesterday and it's very hard to catch up apologises if I've missed something vital but I've skim read.

Swaliswan Congratulations Come over to the due Oct thread if you like. Few of us there seem to have symptoms which is strange as we always try to spot them here.

Bucky I think you can be honest with your GP. You may have eased off the trying for a short while after your MC but you still didn't use contreception. I think EI said the same. I'm still hoping she's a no show though.

I'm doing fine but I am an obsessive knicker watcher.

lou2311 · 12/02/2008 08:25

Hi Mrs Ei, how is my CB today? DH took me out to dinner and film last night as early Valentines Day. I think he wanted to cheer me up as well really. He is still making dinner on thurs tho, and its the new series of Bones on sky, so v.happy to stay in and avoid the rush! Its not like there will be any BD'ing on thurs anyway! LOL

Welcome Doghouse, best of luck!

And i agree about docs, I was told having had PCOS for 6 years that I just had to ask for help when I wanted to TTC, so i did, and they said "Oh no, the hosp shouldn't have told you that, you've had treatment for you PCOS so you'll have to wait for a year of TTC before we will investigate!" GRRRRR!!! We really shouldn't have to go through that at the docs, it's hard enough. And Im still having yearly smears as had pre-cancerous cells 5years ago. fed up with docs and hospitals!

lou2311 · 12/02/2008 08:27

Bucky - give 'em all you've got and dont come out till they agree to do something!!! xxx

libralady · 12/02/2008 08:37

lou1211
What channel is the new series of Bones on? I heard it was back on the 14th but then I heard it would be delayed due to the writers strike and although it is usually on Sky One, I can't see it in the TV listings.

libralady · 12/02/2008 08:38

Sorry that should say lou2311 - dodgy fingers this morning!

doghouse · 12/02/2008 08:41

Congratulations Swaliswan - that is wonderful news!

A bit more spotting today - sort of watery pink. Feel sure it is AF on her way though; don't know why.

My temp was still high this morning though? Thought it dipped just before AF? Aaagh! ... and so the madness begins!

Am very pleased to be on this thread now and not just a lurker! Feeling very excited about mrs ei's dream coming true for one of you regulars!

Swaliswan · 12/02/2008 08:47

Ladies, I really need to talk to someone who will understand. I did another test this morning with DH there so that he could see it in action iyswim. Now I'm really worried though because the line is feinter than it was yesterday even though I used FMU today and hadn't yesterday. I still have clear pg symptoms but now I'm going out of mind worrying that this isn't going to be a sticky one.

Bucky2008 · 12/02/2008 09:26

Swaliswan did you use a different type of test? That can make a big difference.

Well TEW arrived this morning. I guess the egg hatched 36 hours after the longest surge in the world . Still, I did BD in good time, so I guess the swimmers hate the eggs or something .

Anyway at least I have my doc appointment and DP said he will go to and have a test if we need to. He is convinced its him, don't know really maybe I am just old now .

Lou thanks for your advice (and Ei, MTW and Fairy) I will do my best. Maybe I will stage a sit in and not move until help arrives (especially if Dr Brownfield is my doctor that day ) Ahhhh dreamy....

Swaliswan · 12/02/2008 09:30

It was exactly the same make and type of test. I wonder if using urine that was passed in the early hours of the morning (after attempting to feed DD) still counts as FMU?

07mumstheword · 12/02/2008 10:00

swaliswan Me too. I've done lots of tests in the last wk and they do vary a little. I have consoled (SP?) myself with the fact a line is a line and it wouldn't even appear if there was no PG hormone. I would wait a day or two and do one again with FMU I'm sure it will come back strong.

07mumstheword · 12/02/2008 10:02

Bucky TEW bitch!!! You go to that doctors and tell um you want action NOW!!!

JerryErnie · 12/02/2008 10:14

Hi everyone, could I join in this thread? I haven't had time to read all of it. I'm 30, married, working full time and TTC baby no:1 (although dh doesn't really won't kids, but that's another story). My AF has come today, feel a bit down about it. Think I'll get drunk at the weekend as I've been off booze just in case!
