Hi MrsEi,
Yes we are cycle buddies! Yay! I'm |keeping EVERYTHING crossed this month! cramping seems to be dying down a bit this morning which always helps me feel a bit more able to function...
Good luck Swali, it's so hard to know isnt it. I did the whole am I arent I this month. wishing a BFP your way!
Lou xx

JollyBear · 11/02/2008 09:19

Morning all,

Sorry to hear about your AFs arriving mrsEi and lou

mibbes I think you are allowed to know better than FF! It may move your ov in a few days and agree with you. So glad you are not set for a long cycle this time though

bucky hope AF is still AWOL! You too swaliswan

I've still got high temps today but am just confused as I think it is unlikely I'm pregnant. I got a BFN yesterday, 15dpo. It wasn't FMU but at 15dpo I wouldn't have thought I can blame that!! I'm away from Tuesday to Thursday with work so I'm not going to test till Thursday which is the day FF suggests, that's if AF doesn't arrive beforehand.

07mumstheword · 11/02/2008 09:46

Mrsei I'm sorry you got BFN & TEW turned up. You seem OK about it this month so I hope you are rewarded next month with a BFP

Jollybear Sorry you got a BFN too I know you've got to give next cycle a miss so if AF does turn up I hope your first cycle back on the saddle you get a BFP.

Lou Sorry you're feeling down too, it really is tough

Bucky & Swaliswan Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks Mrsei for pointing out my milestone 1 Can you believe I am 4 wks today...that's nothing. It really is a double edged sword testing sooo early.

mibbes · 11/02/2008 09:55

MrsEi sorry she got you , but glad you are not too down about it. Great news about your sister's dream ! Talking of which we could do with another one of yours..
Swaliswan good luck
JollyBear even at 15dpo you still need FMU in some cases, sometimes the PG hormone takes ages to build up. Still no AF at 16dpo and high temps sounds very promising to me.... amazed at your willpower not to test until Thu ! Good luck HCB xx

FF has moved my ov date to Fri - so I did know better ! So am now 3dpo. Already symptom spotting - but so far nothing to report apart from being tired, which after 2 late nights is no surprise really !!!

mibbes · 11/02/2008 09:58

cross-posted MTW - good morning ! Great to hear you are feeling more positive and have passed 1st milestone
Bucky did you manage not to test this morning ? womby-feelings sound promising

doghouse · 11/02/2008 10:29

Hi there
Have been lurking for a while - can I join you lovely ladies? I am 38, TTC#2, have DD 10mo. My cycle (although only my second since having DD) is about 40 days.

I am currently 12DPO having BD'd frantically for the day of and two days after a on an OPK so am ridiculously hopeful even though this is my first cycle of TTC as DH has just come back from Afghanistan!

Am expecting AF around 14-17th (14th if going 14 days after Ov; 17th if going by expected cycle length if that makes sense?!) but yesterday and today had some spotting - brown/pink and bit of red in CM - still hasn't come to much.

On top of all that, my temp remains high. .... it couldn't be implantation could it? I had that with DD.....

What do YOU think?!

Swaliswan · 11/02/2008 10:37

Ooooooooo, how exciting doghouse. You never know, it could be implantation as you are 12dpo. I conceived DD1 on my second cycle off of the pill but the first one ttc as DH was on pre-op training for op telic during cycle one. I got pg straight away then he missed the entire pg and birth because of op telic

Apparently it is very typical for babies to be conseived just before or just after a tour of duty so you never know....

Swaliswan · 11/02/2008 10:38

sorry, make that conceived!

JollyBear · 11/02/2008 10:50

Welome to the 2ww doghouse! High temps and spotting sounds very hopeful to me

Thanks HCB mibbes I won't abandon hope just yet. I haven't got good willpower at all, just as I'm going to be away I don't want a depressing BFN with no one to moan to about it.

Well done for beating FF at her own game!!

Bucky2008 · 11/02/2008 11:37

Welcome doghouse we will throw babydust your way and keep our fingers crossed. It sounds like you did everything right.

Well, there was no steely resolve in the Bucky household afterall. I tested this morning with FMU should be approx 13dpo ( thought I had an 11 day LP ) and BFN. . No AF though, so I am thinking that baby there was no egg this cycle??

Bucky2008 · 11/02/2008 11:38

oops Freudian slip... I meant 'maybe there was not egg' not 'baby there was not egg...

JollyBear · 11/02/2008 11:48

Hello bucky I was just looking at some charts on FF and there were quite a lot of ladies with BFNs on CD 13,14,15 who went on to get a BFP. It isn't over till AF arrives remember! Fingers crossed

mibbes · 11/02/2008 12:18

Welcome doghouse ! At 12 dpo it could well be a implantation bleed Lots of MNers report brown spotting pre-AF but if this is not usual for you then I'd be very hopeful ! When do you plan to test ? This could be the shortest visit to the thread ever !
Bucky so sorry you got BFN but I concur with JB, it is not over yet missus I have read posts on MN of women with PG symptoms, high temps way past 18dpo and no BFN for weeks ! So both Bucky and JB there is still plenty of hope.
JollyBear, I will be waiting with baited breath for news... surely if not PG then AF will have shown by Thu in which case you shouldn't have to endure another BFN - preferably she won't arrive and you'll get a BFP !!! Ha, yes well how could FF possibly know more about my body than me !

doghouse · 11/02/2008 12:34

Thanks for your warm welcome! Will try and get up to speed with everyone's situation!

I don't know why I said 12DPO - it's actually 9DPO as Ov day was 2nd Feb! Don't know if this makes any difference to likelihood of it being an implantation bleed. Certainly don't normally have spotting before AF's arrival.

Don't know when to test as 14DPO will be 16 Feb (Sat) but was actually expecting AF on Sunday. Have a CB test at the ready tho!

mibbes · 11/02/2008 12:42

doghouse you can have imp bleed from 8dpo so it is still very possible. Look forward to hearing test results

JollyBear · 11/02/2008 13:42

doghouse I agree with mibbes, spotting at 9dpo is very promising esp as you had it with your last pregnancy.

Thanks mibbes I hopefully I should know one way or the other by Thursday! I've been reading some of the archives, and sometimes on long cycles you can get to 18 days of high temps but not have ov at all . I do hope that isn't the case!

And to think I used to love having long cycles as it meant less AFs... silly jollybear.

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 16:19

afternoon girls
hope everyone is ok today
yay lou glad you are feeling more like yourself today i feel ok but a bit confused as to what exactly my AF thinks shes doing!! she is really light again like last cycle and that is really unusual for me i dont know what my body is doin now!! exactly the same as last month mind so defo just my stupid AF
welcome doghouse its lovely on here so pull up a chair and grab a cuppa
JB and bucky sorry about those BFNs but its not over til the fat red bitch sings fingers crossed
how is everyone else??

mibbes · 11/02/2008 16:47

Hi MrsEi
I need a slap as at 3dpo am already analysing every twinge , thought I had distant AF cramps earlier very briefly. Having said that I had similar last cycle when was symtpom spotting but it turned out to be pre-OV ! Oh dear, must do some thing to distract myself otherwise it is going to be a looong fortnight ahead !

ScaryHairy · 11/02/2008 18:04

Welcome Doghouse - sounds like implantation to me, whether at 9dpo or 12. Actually in some ways 9 dpo seems more likely to me whereas 12 dpo could be pre-period spotting.

I am 6dpo and have had some cramps and spotting today (and have a 13/14 day luteal phase). I know 6dpo is early for implantation but with my daughter I got a BFP at 9dpo so I reckon maybe I am an early implanter! Am trying not to get too hopeful, really and truly. Oh who am I kidding...

JB and Bucky - sorry about BFNs but am still keeping everything crossed for you.

Righto, must go take control of fractious one year old. See you all later!

Swaliswan · 11/02/2008 18:17

Erm, well after saying that I was absolutely not going to test under any circumstances...I did a test this morning. I got a BFP!

I actually feel really bad about coming onto the ttc boards and getting pg so quickly. I know that it causes a lot of heartache when AF turns up and you get BFN after BFN.

Please don't kick me off the board yet though! I don't really feel pg iyswim just shocked and very nervous that I'll have another mc.

coolkat · 11/02/2008 18:34

Congratulations Swaliswan don't feel guilty, any BFP keeps us going!! Although I am a teeny bit !! Christ you must be mega fertile or DH has super swimmers!!! I will keep everything crossed for you. X

Mibbles I am like you analysing everything then don't know whether what I am feeling is right or I am going mad! Today I ache all around my middle and my bits feel hollow I am sure its from two much walking and pushing DD on her bike today and I bet AF is starting her journey, her ETA is Friday

Bucky sorry for your BFN although it is not over yet, I feel some people take longer to get their BFP because the hormone is not detected as strongly in some women than others IYSWIM.

Doghouse, Welcome, we could see you lurking you know!! Your symptoms sound promising lets hope you do not have to stay here to long!!

Jollybear - High temps keeping everything crossed X

Hi to anyone I have missed (not very good at following this as its so busy!) Hope your ok.Sorry for the ramble.
Coolkat

ScaryHairy · 11/02/2008 19:19

Congratulations Swaliswan. That's lovely news.

MrsEi25 · 11/02/2008 19:54

congrats swaliswan on your BFP dont feel guilty you are just as deserving of a BFP as any of us so enjoy it and i hope everything goes smoothly for you
