FP and glasto sorry you got BFNs (they are so rubbish) hope the spotting is imp but sorry of AF
hatty sorry but I had to laugh after you'd posted so excitedly about opk then next post so frustrated when it broke ! Sorry, my dodgy sense of humour Did you try another when you went home ?
Bucky a big long LH surge for you this month, just keep at the bd'ing lady !
Welcome hanaflower, what a lovely name
GG any progress on the home sperm test ? Has DH agreed to it ?
MTW I hope you can resist the temptation of the HPT, but were you not advised to test early in case you have another CP ? Poor you, tricky decision.
MrsEi loving the symptoms, craving cheese sounds like a winner to me and LOL at you lop-sided stiff-nip !

07mumstheword · 30/01/2008 20:48

FP & Glasto So sorry you got BFN's. It's is just so disappointing.

Jollybear I'm 7 dpo and acting like I'm 17 dpo! I have absolutely no symptoms so I'm making them up in my mind. There is no way I am sane enough to keep you strong but we can always try, stay away from those HPT's

Hatty I'm assuming you were at work or something with just the one test and no back up test in your handbag? Ooh you must have been. Hope you get with the next one

Bucky Yes it was me, I had for 2 days running and it also happened with my Persona this month, very confusing but just keep BD'ing. I'm rather hoping it means a stronger egg to come out in the trying to get hatched mode?

Mibbes You are exactly right, that is my dilema, I will test early but it's just how early I mean I could get ridiculously (sp?) early or sensibly early lets hope I can hang on to sensible

Hi Mrsei GG Hanaflower

MrsEi25 · 30/01/2008 20:54

MrsEI, you are funny No idea about your symptoms but hopefully they mean something.
Sorry to those who got bfn's or tew showed up. I'm not working today, so currently enoying a cup of tea and piece of caramel cheesecake for lunch, whilst dd2 is sleeping She is obsessed by cake so I wouldn't get to eat any if she was awake Humid and about 30deg today though so not really tea weather though.
Have you chatted with dh about testing at home, GG?
Hello to everyone else

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 08:41

Hi scully Sorry if I've missed it but where do you live? I'm of the heat. In UK it's blowing a gale and very cold. Hope you enjoyed your cheesecake.

londonmummy2005 · 31/01/2008 09:37

Morning ladies! Scully I hear you on the cake, DS wants to eat everything I'm eating!

This is my first post here but have been lurking for ages! I just got a BFN so needed some support

I think my cycle is 31 days and I've been bd'ing from the 14th to the 22nd on and off, I used OPKS that said I was ovulating on the 20th- 22nd and my AF is usually on the 1st of the month but only spotting, it starts properly on 3rd or 4th.

Do you think I tested too soon?

This is my first cycle and I got pregnant with DS1 first time trying so think I've got my hopes up too much!

Don't mind trying for a while but I thought I was preggers over christmas and as a result put on 7 pounds! Want to know if I am so If not can start health kick gym thing. If I am then I can carry on stuffing my face {wink}

scully · 31/01/2008 09:54

I'm in Brisbane MTW Did live in the UK for 11yrs though, so I know what I'm missing by not being there in Jan/Feb
I'm being good tonight and not having any wine, trying to limit myself to every 2nd night
London, I would test again on the 4th or 5th if af hasn't arrived. Hard not test before then but if you're that regular, makes sense to wait until you're late.

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 10:45

Scully Oh I'd LOVE to be in Brisbane now! Lucky you.

London As Scully said try testing again on the day or day after AF due if she doesn't get you before then. It is so hard when you get your hopes up, I've done that for 10 cycles now and praying this is the real one

twinklingfairy · 31/01/2008 11:13

Hiya london and welcome. I agree with the others, all you can do is wait. It sucks don't it
I was the same as you too. I truly thought I would fall first time, cos I did with DD. Hopefully you have though

I have had a scare! Last night DH and I BD bout midnight. At about half 3 I woke with a sore tummy (lower, so sore womb) and the same uncomfortable urine infection pains(6 days of that now). I dealt with DD who was crying for her dummy and struggled on for a bit in bed. I finaly admitted that it was all just too uncomfortable at 4.25 (I checked) and went downstairs for some drugs. I got to the kitchen and realised that I felt really nauseas so put my head on my hand and leant over the sink for the inevitable. Next thing I know I am waking up, flat on my back over by the fridge (a unit and a washing machine away).
I know have a bit of a black eye and a bruised chin, presumably I hit them as I fell. I also have a scuffed knee, I must have landed on it. I lay there for a bit getting my bearings, I woke up thinking I was in bed! Then took my anadin and went back to bed. Checking the time, it was now 4.38. So none of it took too long.
All a bit scary and I have booked an appointment to see the doc. But 2 things are scaring me. I really don't want any drugs, we are on CD14, ov is norm CD17. And how did I get all the way over the room? I must have been really out of it!

MrsEi25 · 31/01/2008 14:12

hi ladies
welcome to the thread london it sounds like you might have tested a bit early TBH if you are not due AF for another 4 days or so chances are it could still be early for you fingers crossed for you
TF oh dear you are in the wars arent you have you been and had your urine tested?? if not then make sure you take a sample along to the docs with you. UTIs are poo arent they!! i have just finished another course of antibiotics for my recurring UTI and they seem to have worked this time (touch wood) make sure he gives you a proper check up how long have you felt like you have got an infection?? this could have been the cause for your fainting as it is really easy for the infection to spread from the bladder into the body due to the warm, wet environment which is ideal for bacterial growth get better soon xx

GryffinGirl · 31/01/2008 14:21

Afternoon everyone and big welcome to London - i agree with mrsEi that maybe you tested too early. It's not over until the fat lady spots

i think I am at CD27 today of a (usually) 28 day cycle and have sore (.)(.) and what someone on here (was it *abbeymeg? ) described as "windy nips" . However, I have had those for the last thirteen cycles of TTC, so I don't read too much into them. I know AF is on her way when they disappear. I have decided not to test this weekend, as I can't bear ANOTHER BFN, but if there is no sign of AF by Monday I might consider it.

scully - Brisbane, oooooh lovely Gazing out of my office window I can see black clouds, lashing rain and the windows are rattling and whistling in the wind. Yuck.

hello to everyone else.

londonmummy2005 · 31/01/2008 14:56

Thanks for your messages girls, just have to wait now, have to hide my tests it's too tempting!! Have just got a spot on my chin which usually means AF is on the way so probably not my month this time.

TF - poor you, hope everything works out must have been scary! always worse in the middle of the night too.

Bucky2008 · 31/01/2008 14:56

Well I have snuck off home ill...after getting drenched in some kind of weird rain storm. .. It was the heaviest rain I have ever experienced in England. I was in Newbury. It only lasted a few minutes but bleedin'ell. Needless to say it did not help my delicate state. My cold seems to be 200 times worse now! And still one more night of BDing!!! The smiley had gone last night, so I guess the egg has hatched now. I will soldier on for one more night and hope I don't die during the act .

Fairy That sounds horrid. You obviously passed out . Maybe you staggered around a bit before you fell over . Good that you are going to the docs though.

Mrs Ei, at least your Skyman had something good to look at. My builders actually held their shirts in front there faces when talking to me!! .

07MTW I am going to do some research about our mega LH surges...it's not that common from what I know?

Waves and hugs to everyone else. GG fingers crossed you will be joining DG in the bean stakes. Hopefully this month will be different.

MrsEi25 · 31/01/2008 15:58

hi bucky it really depends on your definition of 'something good to look at' im just glad i had a bra on otherwise he might have thought i had an 'outie' on the account of my tummy skimming (.)(.) not attractive...

I'm officially out of the running now - AF has just turned up. At least I can move forward now and start afresh with a new cycle. Wishing you all lots and lots and lots of luck and sending truck loads of dust your way! xxx

twinklingfairy · 31/01/2008 17:30

Oh poor you FP It is just so rubbish isn't it? Doesn't get any nicer either, cept if you get a BFP that is, now that would be nicer

JollyBear · 31/01/2008 17:44

Oh dear, you are all in the wars today.

Get better soon bucky and TF

I have to go now but will catch up properly tomorrow... byeeeeeeee

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 19:52

TF Poor you I'm glad your doctor is helping you now and without any risk to your mammoth BD'ing

Bucky Poor you too! A cold it miserable, I hate them! Are we odd then with our long LH surges? I hope it's not too detrimental (sp?) to our quest for a baby!

FP Sorry she got you better luck next month.

GG I hope you get your long awaited BFP!

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 20:23

HELP! This temping thing is driving me MAD! My temp have been creeping up for days now but I have no idea what this means. My Taking Charge of Your Fertility book is all in old money (90's) and mine is in new I.e 36.5 etc.

Fertitly friend shows me a lovely graph but doesn't explain what it means other than I've ovulated.

If my temps remain high is that good? Will they suddenly dip if TEW is going to show? What sign am I mean't to look out for?

Does anybody know?

DG Fancy going to Mauritius in my hour of need!

07mumstheword · 31/01/2008 20:53

Where is everybody?

It's OK I've done a bit of research and know temps will remain higher than the beginning part of my cycle. If it drops so I hope I stay HOT HOT HOT!

twinklingfairy · 31/01/2008 21:06

Have just turned teh computer on and was going to say that mtw but you have done your own research.
I am a little confused by my own graph this month, my temps have been up since CD8 but neg OPK's. But I think that is prob only cos I have had my UTI since then too. so not really sure.
Did you see that boy on This Morning, this morning? He said that temping wasn't so good Ach well, I am going to keep going anyway.

mibbes · 31/01/2008 22:07

hey ladies !
welcome london Bucky get well missy, I had a cold earlier this week but all better now
FL you are lovely standing by your friend, even though it is difficult for you being .
MTW 18 days of high temps and you have a beanie ! Not that I expect you to last that long before testing !!
FP so sorry she got you, TEW
Fairy why did he say temping not good ? Surely it is the best way of tracking what is going on - did he have an alterative ? Glad you are getting sorted after last night's drama !!

BabyBump2B · 31/01/2008 22:08

Hi All!

My goodness I'm away for a couple of days and come back to BFNs - not what I was hoping for with all that baby dust I threw around on Monday.

I'm ok - feeling very very down right now. Not sure if it has to do with my cycle or knowing I'm ov and not being able to try but am very emotional.

TF take care of yourself!

I have no advice on the temping thing at all - I am completely unable to remember to take my temp in the morning so i'm not sure what my chart's going to tell me

xoxo
