Bucky hope your cold is ok and you survived your evening with dh
TF that all sounds very dramatic, I do feel sorry for your dh as well, he will get some strange looks for a few days
FH, sorry TEW got you.
I've spent this morning at A&E with dd2. I managed to be at work for an hour before her nursery rang to say she had fallen over and managed to put her teeth through the skin just below her lip So I had her saying 'ow', 'car' or 'home' every few minutes and wanting to leave the hospital as she hates anything medical after her surgery last Nov. They applied some glue rather than stitches and she should be good as new in a couple of days. So she is now sleeping and I get an afternoon at home
Even though the weather looks rather unpleasant in the UK, spare a thought for my sister, who is currently living in China. Temps where she is today are -13deg to -19deg celcius

Morning all,

TF Why did he say temping wasn't any good?!

hanaflower That is really high! Staying in bed later does make a massive difference to your temps.

scully Sorry to hear about your DD. Hope she feels better soon.

MTW FF says that pregnancy charts have a sustained high temp after the length of the LP. Sometimes there can be a temp drop for implantation, but it stresses that a dip does not necessarily mean pregnancy.

bucky TF hope you both feel better today.

GG Fingers firmly crossed that AF stays away. How are the windy nips?!

JollyBear · 01/02/2008 10:37

Oh and BB2B Hope you feel a bit brighter today. It must be really hard not being able to TTC this month

Bucky2008 · 01/02/2008 11:56

Well, am having a duvet day today...No BDing was had last night as I fell asleep at 8pm and woke up this morning! I hope we did enough BDing on all the days with and one day afterward .

How is everyone feeling today? GG any news?

GryffinGirl · 01/02/2008 12:03

No news with me - no sign of AF and I still have mild sore (.)(.) symptoms, but that's about it. I am on knicker watch though and no testing until I am waaaaaayyy late (should it come to that). I'm not getting my hopes up, but I know if/when AF arrives, this time I will be absolutely devastated.

p.s just got an ominous spot of mild cramping down below. Oh god...not again

mibbes · 01/02/2008 12:17

hanaflower Flip ! Do you sleep in a sauna ? I thought I had high temps with a peak of 37.1 (or maybe it was 37.2) but eihter way I am practically frozen compared to you ! I think MTW meant that the example charts are in Fahrenheit not the blank ones... maybe I'm wrong. MTW use this converter to give you an idea of what the 'old money' charrts are on about: "www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm"
or try this to go from Fahrenheit to celsuis (my brain exploded trying...)
Begin by subtracting 32 from the Fahrenheit number.
Divide the answer by 9.
Then multiply that answer by 5.
Yikes too much maths - I used the converter as was also frustrated that the examples in TCOYF meant nothing to me given my tewps in celsius. Am still loving the temping - how sad ! It has actually helped me get out of bed each morning as want to get to the light to see what today's temp is, oh dear I need to get out more ! Still low but no surprise as CD10 - dopn;t expect a rise until let next week, but wil be peeing on digi-opks from Monday - ooohh the anticipation !
MTW Also to follow on from my HCB JB TCOYF says that you can have a further rise (triphasic) after imp where temps to even higher and stay up there ! Although don't expect to reach the heady heights of hanaflower - that girl is on fire !!!
LOL check me all gen'd up about temps - can you tell it is my new obsession !
Bucky enjoy your duvet day, it is not a day ot be out of the house anyway - nasty weather out there, lots of snow up here in Scotland ! Hope you are feeling better soon

lou2311 · 01/02/2008 12:51

hello all,
having been TTC since miscarriage in july, and using digi ov tests and temping before and after MC, I talked to DH about trying a clearblue digital fetility monitor. V.expensive, (£85) but I added up the ov test kits I'd used anyway!
So... we tried it this month and although as my cycle is irregular it showed high fertility from day 9, it showed me exactly when I was ovulating, and therefore cut down on my worrying and fretting.
Am now playing the waiting game but I found it so much better than temping, as I didnt have to wait till my temp went up, etc. Lots of peeing on the little sticks, but quite used to that by now! Hope this helps somebody, not trying to sell them or anything!!! LOL
It just put my mind at rest to see that i was ovulating as i really didnt know and my temp charting was not making it clear either.Positive thoughts and baby dust to everyone xx

MrsEi25 · 01/02/2008 13:11

afternoon girls
how is everyone today??
MTW sorry but i havent got a blind clue what temps mean etc except that 36c is around 96f but thats not exactly accurate really is it!!
ah well not much to report here except that i lost my new glasses yesterday im such an arse!! they were £150.00 and have vanished into thin air i put them in the hood of the pram and forgot they were there and when i remembered they werent there!!ah well i will have to get a pair that are glued to my face and then i wont lose them!!

GG I hope those cramps aren't AF pains. >

bucky glad to hear you are having a nice day in bed.

Hello mibbes HCB, glad to hear you are all prepared with the opks. You have been paying attention to your charting lessons haven't you? Gold star, straight to the top of the class for mibbes! My temp was 36.88 this morn which is my highest temp so far, but I have nothing on the hottie hanaflower. lou thanks for the info, sounds like it has been really useful for you. Keep us posted with any symptoms

mrsei25 You need to get a string for those specs so you can keep them round your neck at all times Can you not retrace your steps in case someone found them and handed them in? Specs are of no use to anyone else.

I'm 8 DPO today. I can't decide when to test . FF suggests 12th Feb, a whopping 18 DPO I don't want to test too early but I can't wait that long!!

JollyBear · 01/02/2008 13:48

There is a thread on the pregnancy boards from DG. She is having more bleeding on her hols . Just wanted to let you all know.

Thanks for letting us know about DG Jollybear. I would never have known if you hadn't. I hope she is ok . I left her a message, but I hope I haven't made her feel worse! . Hopefully she is fine, I'm worried about her though, she must be just wanting to come back off her hols

JollyBear · 01/02/2008 14:47

Thanks bucky, it must be horrible for her because she is not at home. I thought your message was really supportive and mrsei25's was too. DG would want you to be honest IMO. Hope you are both OK, it must bring back feelings about your own mc

hanaflower Our temps are very similar. Hope they stay high for us

mrsei25 how rubbish you have to buy new glasses. They are so expensive.

07mumstheword · 01/02/2008 17:45

TF I've recorded yesterday's This Morning so will watch it soon.
