Two week wait, needing some company!

Hi everyone 👋
I've had two miscarriages, one in November 2021, and one in January 2022. Me and my partner have been trying for over a year. We have tried really hard this month to catch ovulation by using OPK's. I'm currently in the dreaded 2WW.

Anyone else out there in the same position? Would love some company in this tricky time! X

Hi all, I've done a test and like an idiot I peed all over test window which I know invalidates it! I could see a very faint line, but I have no idea if its accurate now, im assuming not! 🤔 doh!

Oh @Summerbreeze111 are you going to take another, surely it must have detected something to show a line 🙈

I'm always scared to pre on it but if you turn it window side away from the stream that should help that problem!

I've just done another one and not even a hint of a line, that was a massive roller coaster. I am so confused now but I have no FRER tests. I'm 11dpo but would have thought it would have shown up on the second test if the first one was a true result. Gutted!

@Summerbreeze111 I hate when that happens! Second test could be negative because you'd only just peed already? Apparently makes a big difference whether you've peed/drunk lots recently in terms of hormone strength.

Oh really, I think I peed about an hour after, it was still quite dark the wee. Does it take time for the hcg to build up again? Clinging on to the last bit of hope! Had a look at the first test, and the line did have a tinge of pink to it. Second one, zero, zilch, nothing! Argh.

How are you getting on?

@Summerbreeze111 yes apparently first morning urine is the equivalent to waiting 5 hours between pees I think? (Which i definitely can't ever do... 😂) The more you've peed and the more you've drunk, the weaker the HCG.

Ladies I had quite a few symptoms and tested negative, and I came to think it was my brain wanting to get pregnant.

Hope there are some BFPs from the group for this group and more to come in the coming months for all of us trying.

@Yoyoathome I have a theory that when you reallyyy want to conceive, you can cause your progesterone levels to sky rocket, (which would make sense biologically, since it's the progesterone peak that makes the womb ready to accept an embryo etc). Those symptoms we all get (and sometimes get just days after ovulating) - they aren't imagined. I reckon they're real side effects of a big progesterone surge. Problem is, the progesterone surge can happen regardless of whether or not implantation does... This is total conjecture, by the way, but definitely my experience. I refuse to believe that those really intense symptoms, even on non conceiving cycles, are just wishful thinking...

@Yoyoathome i agree, I wonder if there’s any studies comparing womens progesterone who are ttc and those who aren’t. I am 100% having feelings I’ve not had last 3 cycles, wonder if next cycle I’ll have totally new bizarre symptoms.
Im trying to ignore my body atm and just ride out this tww.

@Cally1980 I'd love to see that research if it exists... Only really started thinking of it like that last month, when I had SO many symptoms, and ones I'd completely forgotten about like the weird taste in your mouth and temperature regulation issues, and I was just like "there must be something causing this. This isn't made up."

What on earth am I doing?!

@Summerbreeze111 there's still a chance especially as others have said about morning urine etc, and an hour maybe would not have been as concentrated enough during the early pregnancy days 🤞🏼

@Cally1980 and @daisyhrl , I would tend to agree, (without sufficient medical backup), that the symptoms weren't just imagined, and it was progesterone that raised due to brain activities. This adds one more layer of complexity to conceiving and esp TWW since there is a lot of reading into it when one wants to get pregnant. So agreeing with the point, better just to ignore the body reactions too much in order to avoid a disappointment.
It is much much easier said than done in reality!!!

My stark white test 🤣 with all my feelings or lack of, I suspect this isn't my month BUT I still would love to see as many bfps in this thread as possible ❤ so chuffed to see the ones we have so far.. many congrats!! And to those still waiting you are not out until AF arrives. If it does, like I'm suspecting mine will, then we just need to brush ourselves off and have fun in process of making our little humans 😅 I think the more relaxed we are, the more it will help which is easier said than done when you want something so badly and have suffered losses but that's all we can do 🥰

Hi!! 👋🏼 Please can I join? Currently 7/8dpo and I'm driving myself mad so need some distraction! I stupidly started doing the clear blue ovulation tests again 2 days after my solid smiley out of curiosity, and first day was a blank circle and they've since been flashing smileys for the last 4 or 5 days... how is that possible? Did I not ovulate the first time round? I'm wondering if my body is still a bit all over the place following a miscarriage in Feb. Has anyone else had this happen to them after their peak?

Hi @helloimlaura ! So double peaks can happen, apparently, but if your first goes high enough to get a positive OPK, then I think that's usually when you ovulate? Think it's the beginning of the surge you're tracking for.

Gaaa cheapies drive me mad... Took one this morning (after faint BFP on early test yesterday) and stared at it for 10 minutes straight – nothing. Then walked away for 10 mins and now there's a v v v faint line... Praying it's not a chemical over here!
