Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

Hello @Longbin just jumping on to answer your question as my friend @RMS0209 thought I may be able to help because I’ve been charting a few cycles now.

So a drop in progesterone between CD22 and 24 of an average length cycle is normal and usually does mean you haven’t conceived that cycle however everyone is so different I wouldn’t count yourself out just yet. Not out until AF arrives of course!

It’s also normal to have a second estrogen rise in the luteal phase some people can mistake this for an implantation dip sometimes as bbt often dips when the second estrogen rise happens.

It is also possible for a drop in progesterone to trigger a slight increase in LH which could explain this too but also possible to see a rise in LH if implantation occurs (so let’s hope for the latter 🤞🏼)

I’d say nothing to be concerned about though all seems normal.

Sending you lots of luck Smile

MrsGrealish · 01/04/2022 21:35

@Newbiemg wow that's a really good answer.. I notice when my progesterone dips at this time (I've never done bbt or progesterone tests) I just know because I get hormonal migraines x

Longbin · 01/04/2022 21:39

@Newbiemg thank you!! That’s better info than I get from my clinic 😂 do you think it’s worth me taking progesterone pessaries just in case as I have some spare?!

RMS0209 · 01/04/2022 21:44

she's a handy one that's for sure! @Newbiemg

Hi all!

Sorry it’s been a while, I’ve tried catching up but I’ve probably missed a lot of messages!

Interesting to hear about the blood tests, I was thinking about it but I just worry about finding something and Gp’s not being helpful! Anyone spoke to Gp about these type of results?

I’m on pregcare conception vitamins and low dose thyroid medication for sub clinical blood results think it was 6 and now 2.5 so that’s good! It was picked up when I wasn’t well last year and my Gp ran a few blood tests.

@DogsAndGin like the idea of a the purple plan. Seems more enjoyable and doable all round!

@RMS0209 sorry the bloods didn’t work yesterday! Hopefully they’ll send a new pack asap?

@MrsGrealish hope your son is doing okay!

@Tigergirl37 hope you’re doing okay and fingers crossed for you ✨ waiting is the worse!

Im tried to stay chill but it’s not happening! CD 10
Now and due to ovulate CD15. Planning to just do every other day this week, and may not do opks this month but undecided about that.

Hope everyone else is doing okay and has a lovely weekend planned x

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 08:47

@Hello47
Morning! How are you doing?
I asked my GP for the tests and he wasn't very useful... hence I had to get them private online but I'm not having luck with them :( they are sending more today but I won't be able to take them until next cycle now... very frustrating!

I think a few of us are on the pregnacare vitamins I think I might stick with just them, they do the job and have everything I need with no side effects and are reasonably priced! Good news with the thyroid meds too.

@DogsAndGin im Undecided between SMEP or Purple for this month... CD4, AF will be gone in a few days!

Woohoo to CD10.
I think every other day would be good... will you be able to resist OPK's? I'm hoping my OVUsense is good enough so I don't need to do the OPK's, it's stress I can do without (watch next week when I'm upload snippets of them because I couldn't resist!)
X

Morning @RMS0209

Yeah I’m okay thanks, how are your?

I can just feel myself getting worked up about when to dtd! I don’t know if I’ll resist the opks 🥴 I might stick with them this month to see if I ovulate the same day, it’s been a bit unpredictable over the last few months, I think because of the miscarriages. If its cd15 again then that’ll be 3 months in a row so might stop the opks next month and just dtd regularly around that time. Tempted by the ovusense core too, but will give it a few more months. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it!

Yeah pregnacare seem like a good option and I’m reluctant to change too much.

So frustrating about the blood tests. Maybe this month will be your month though and you won’t even need them!

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 09:59

@Hello47
Good! Yeah I'm fine thank you.

Don't we all get worked up! IF you do the OPK's you could every other day until you get a positive then try hit 2nights in a row?
Be great if you can get CD15 again, mines varies between CD14,CD19 & CD17.. not ideal!
But I think your plan is a good one, hopefully it's a lucky plan!
I have alot of faith in the Ovusense core,I think I maybe have too much faith in it (oops!)

Happy with the pregnacare as I've heard other peoples cycles lengthen when they use the seven seas and such, that along with my iron and vitamin D along with the supplements OH takes hopefully will do the job.

Love your optimism 💗 I hope it is, starting to feel a bit deflated now.. but give it my all this month do everything right then see, if not I'll phone the doc again and beg for those tests... I couldn't believe how much blood I was meant to get from a finger prick... I had 2 friends from work helping me too and we couldn't get anymore out 😂 the worst!
I just wanted to do it for peace of mind more than anything... minds are a very powerful thing and mines seems to be on overdrive all the time X

MrsGrealish · 02/04/2022 12:13

@Hello47 I'm CD10 too and planning to use the purple method! With OPKs as well (just for interest more than anything) We've already passed stage 1 of the purple method so onto the fertile week!
DS is doing ok atm just happy he's here so I can help him. Thank god he talks to me and doesn't suffer in silence xx

@RMS0209 I knew this about those medichek tests and that's why I knew I would struggle. Pin prick yeah right

Hope you all have a lovely weekend xx

QueenBee22 · 02/04/2022 13:00

@RMS0209

Joining from the March thread.

I am also going into cycle 4 and feeling deflated.

I am going to reflexology fortnightly and going to try SMEP this month too.

Fingers crossed for both of us this month.

I am due to ovulate in about 2 weeks as my cycles are quite long.

How are you doing?

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 14:33

@MrsGrealish I wish I knew that about the test before I didn't honestly think it would be that much blood needed! Grr.

@QueenBee22 hello! nice to hear from you again.
Here you with the deflated... let's give April our all🤍
I go to reflexology weekly, I love it, it makes me relax too so even if I am getting that it's something!
CD 4 for me today, trying to still decide between SMEP or Purple for this month.
How long was your cycle this time?
I'm all good here thanks - keeping busy enjoying not peeing on anything or having to DTD for a few days haha. How are you? X

MrsGrealish · 02/04/2022 14:37

So purple method is every 2 days. Here's my OPKs attached..do I start tonight or tomorrow? CD10 today.

TTC APRIL
QueenBee22 · 02/04/2022 14:59

@RMS0209

Yes it's been great to have a break from peeing on sticks for a while!

My cycle was 34 days this time. My cycles have been all over the place since I got my third covid vaccine but seem to be settling somewhat I hope. I'm predicting roughly the same next this month and on CD5 today. I ovulated at CD21 in March so a long way to go yet. Realistically, it will probably be May before I will be doing a pregnancy test but we'll see how things go. How long was your cycle this time?

When I got my period I was very down but ready to move on and really hoping this might be our month. If not I'm going to give it one more cycle and then see my GP.

Hope you are okay. Great to see some familiar faces from the March thread!

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 17:43

I'd start CD10 personally ? What are you thinking

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 17:47

@QueenBee22

It's the little things isn't it!

Ok cool, my cycle was 31 but I did start spotting on CD29 remember.
So we are cycle buddy's again, CD4 today.
What are you trying/changing this month for trying?

I was down a little bit too even though I knew I was already out this month, but feeling hopeful and optimistic this cycle.
Wishing you all the luck for this month but agree about a GP call if nothing, it's nice to even speak to them sometimes to put your mind at ease x

It's nice having a little chat to vent to and ask silly questions! That's for sure

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking across a few posts the last couple of weeks because it's my first time actually ttc. I have 2 that were just let's see what happens attempts but this time I have used the CB smileys as only had my coil removed in February.

I'm CD 25 but did not manage to dtd on peak, just a twice a few days before. I have had really sore boobs last 3 days but also been full of cold.

Does this seem positive?

MrsGrealish · 02/04/2022 17:49

@RMS0209 yep thinking that too. Original plan was starting CD11 but it's crept up again xx

Sorry it appears I couldn't attach the photo! Nvm

MrsGrealish · 02/04/2022 18:01

@Mamabof2 I think if you are new to mumsnet it takes a couple of days. I really want to see though! Xx

Mamabof2 · 02/04/2022 18:16

@MrsGrealish that makes sense!

Thank you. Well it was just taken this afternoon spur of the moment because the sore boobs is something I experienced later on previously but I was expecting it to be AF symptoms as I had them very bad before the coil and still not sure my body has sorted itself out. I've another cheapie test I'll take first thing in morning.

MrsGrealish · 02/04/2022 18:29

@Mamabof2 I've had sore boobs before a bfp and then no sore boobs til 6 weeks. It's random how different every pregnancy is xx hopefully you can post tomorrow!

Longbin · 02/04/2022 18:51

@Hello47 I’ve found the GPs absolutely useless. It always just comes back that everything is ‘fine’ for me. I’ve had 3 sets of bloods (on multiple days) because my partners analysis kept getting messed up and expiring. They just say it’s fine and then nothing else happens.

RMS0209 · 02/04/2022 19:01
@RMS0209 yep thinking that too. Original plan was starting CD11 but it's crept up again xx
