RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 09:43

Hi!
Making a thread looking for some company/support
I'm currently going into cycle 4, trying to conceive baby 1.
Looking for others in similar situation.
Beginning to feel a bit deflated now, as I am sure many many others are too.
Trying some things different this cycle to hopefully get a BFP
•ordered an Ovusense core
•carrying on with my reflexology weekly
•Trying the SMEP method
•Hot water bottle after ovulation as I read someone else done on here
•carrying on with my supplements

Any other advice/recommendations/suggestions welcome

May April be the months of lots of BFP's 🌟.x

@RMS0209 how funny, I did the progesterone one last month (which was great as confirmed I was ovulating, obviously this was before the chemical which would have proved that so a waste of money on my part but it was good knowing haha) and have done the female hormone one today :)
Ah maybe the feet thing was my issue, I always have freezing cold feet!

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 15:59

@alwaysseeingstars
no way! great minds think alike they say...
i asked my DR for it and he said no so I have went private for it, sure everything is ok but it's nice to have peace of mind isn't it.
is it a few days for your result for the hormone one I guess yeah? good on you! We are doing all the right things.. just need the good luck.

So do I! So she's told me again - keep them cosy! Treat yourself to some fluffy socks, another lady on another thread got good luck by using a hot not boiling water bottle and putting it on her when she was ovulating and after - something else I am going to try,you should too.

Got a text from royal mail my Ovusense will be here tomorrow - woo hoo, can't use it until after AF but suppose could get it all up and running.

Eek @alwaysseeingstars @RMS0209 too much of a wimp to do these!

alwaysseeingstars · 29/03/2022 16:06

That sounds like a good plan, I love fluffy socks and hot water bottles but never thought to use the bottle on my feet :)
With the progesterone one I got the results in 3 days from posting, I think the hormone one is the same! I'll let you know when I get them back! Yeah my Dr also suggested it to put my mind at ease, she said they obviously can't use them/do anything re the results but they couldn't put me through tests on NHS yet which I totally understand.
Ooh exciting about the Ovusense! I love an exciting delivery Grin

Rhianne18 · 29/03/2022 17:35

@alwaysseeingstars yes, so quickly, I’m surprised! We’ve gone for the couples fertility MOT, I’ll have scans and blood tests and DH will have sperm analysis and then we’ll have a follow up appointment with the doctor to go through our results! I have my appointment tomorrow 🤞🏼 Good luck with your results of your second test 🤞🏼

@RMS0209 oh good luck with your tests, keep us updated! I did look into them too as @alwaysseeingstars put me onto them, however as DH is older we wanted to get him an in depth test.

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 18:43

@MrsGrealish if I can be a brave cookie so can you!
i think if it's something that can put my mind at ease slightly i'll take it, I have really bad hormonal acne too... feel 17 again 😂🥺
Just wanting to give this month my all and be very hopeful!

@alwaysseeingstars sending you luck for your test.. already asked OH to do the finger prick for me haha!

@Longbin just saw your post - so sorry for the loss, fingers crossed for your natural cycles trying x

Hi gals, please may I join? Just need a bit of support, trying to conceive my first and am on cycle three after a MMC in December.

I have eaten every supplement, done every exercise, about to do accupuncture etc since Jan, but nothing so far. Have PCOS and thyroid problem but GP caved after my incessant hassling and has given me hormones for the thyroid.

So here we are, back on it again, think I'm day 8 or 9 and debating the purple method. We just don't have the energy to do every other day but we usually do well in the fertile window. Just hadn't happened again yet and I know it's only been 3 months but it's hard, particular after the trauma of loss. Desperate to be pregnant before my June due date but also don't want to pressurise myself too much.

Anyway, enough about me lol, hope we all have baby dust this month!

MO22 · 29/03/2022 19:07

@RMS0209 I've done a few of the private blood tests, they mean it when they say drink lots of water, jump around a bit and have warm hands when you prick it. Blood literally flows out then! I didn't do that the first time and it was so annoyingly I had to prick every bloody finger to get enough!

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 19:14

@RMS0209 unfortunately I've past CD3 when tests need done...absolutely gutted about that🤣

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 19:19

@MO22

Hi! Ofcourse welcome 💕
Support can be found here, I started this thread this afternoon and delighted with all people who have joined already.
I am also trying to conceive my first.
Sending big hugs about MMC.

I tried acupuncture from Nov until Jan time, I am on reflexology now.
I think I've eaten every supplement too... or every "leafy green" or anything I hear that is good for trying to conceive!
Glad to hear you've had something to help with the thyroid.

I hear you with the energy, I spoke to my partner as I was very upset when the spotting started on Sunday, going to do either PURPLE or SMEP, I just want AF to arrive now... day 3 of spotting Sad
Doesn't matter the time, it is hard and I understand the trauma.
I understand what you mean about before your due date, it is very tough

Sending lots of baby dust!
I have ordered an Ovusense you can use it with PCOS if it is any good when I start using it I will be sure to let you know. X

@MO22 I'm so, so sorry about your MMC. The absolute worst. I had one in October and I'm still not really over it.

I hear you re June due date. I wanted to be pregnant by my May one and it's just looking less and less likely which is really hard. I'll almost be relieved when May is gone and the pressure is too!

MO22 · 29/03/2022 19:53

@RMS0209 thank you for your kind words, I know exactly how you feel with the spotting, drives you mad doesn't it. Fingers crossed for you it gets cracking now, it's such a head muck wishing for your period to stay away one day, and hurry up and arrive the next! What does the ovusense do, it's it like the AVA braclet? I'm excited for you to get it!

@Presently83 I am so sorry for you too, it's an awful thing to go through isn't it, I am an entirely different person now and it colours my thoughts every day. I think you're right, maybe once those dates have been and gone it's one less thing to fixate on.

I hope April treats us all well!

Longbin · 29/03/2022 19:57

Sorry to hear about your losses. For those of you that have experience one, how long did it take for your cycles to come back? I’m hoping next month I’ll be back to ovulating normally but it’s hard to find what an average is when searching on specific boards. This month I have been tracking and have had low LH (around 3) for about a week with no surge.

Oof. How long is a piece of string?

I've had a few losses and it was different every time afterwards. Sometimes it didn't affect my next ovulation at all, sometimes it was all out of whack for weeks afterwards.

Presently83 · 29/03/2022 20:22

@MO22 I so hear you. I look at photos of myself before the miscarriage and I don't even know that person. Everything has changed. I'm anxious, depressed, apathetic, listless, completely disinterested in things I used to love. I don't want to see any friends or family. It's so so hard. I wish I could turn back time about 20 years and do this all differently.

MO22 · 29/03/2022 20:34

@Longbin sorry I missed your original post - I am so sorry for your loss. @babyjellyfish is right, it must be so different for everyone.

In theory I ovulated two weeks after my MMC according to OPKs but in practice I don't know if that was just my body surging with LH, I was so all over the place and spotted for a week about three weeks after my surgery before my first period.

@Presently83 I know exactly what I mean. I had a wonderful time in my 20s and tbf I only met my husband at 29 so couldn't have done it any sooner (well, I could have with TERRIBLE men!) but I wonder if we could have cracked on a bit earlier. Every adjective you've used I feel and it's so hard trying to come back to what you used to be when you don't want to see or do anything. Have you had any therapy? I've tried a bit, it was helpful in the early days when I was a complete state but I'm not so sure now...

Anyway, not to be all doom and gloom. I am determined to give it a good go this month 🤞🏼🤞🏼

MO22 · 29/03/2022 20:36

Where is everyone in their cycle at the moment?

RMS0209 · 29/03/2022 20:37

@MO22
No problem, really hope this is your month.
The fact it's day 3 of spotting now is VERY frustrating... just wish AF would come so I can get optimsitc about my April plans

I get fertility reflexology, I am meant to track my BBT but i am the worlds worst sleeper I'm up constantly so I ament getting accurate readings but this Ovusense is very similar to the Ava and it gives real time readings and you can use it instead of OPK testing too as you sleep with it in so it should give me an accurate fertile window too, determined to hit more fertile days this cycle! X
Can't wait for it to come tomorrow... remember when I used to be excited for other deliveries ha ha.

Hi everyone can I join? :)

TTC #2.

Conceived first time with #1 but I'm breastfeeding still so my cycle is all over the place. It's month 1 trying and I am CD 21 and still haven't ovulated yet :-( really don't want to stop feeding my son.

Best of luck to everyone xxx

MO22 · 29/03/2022 20:44

@RMS0209 ah ok so it's BBT based? That's the last thing I am yet to try ha, mainly because I'm worried I'll get obsessed (much like the OPKs!) - sounds like it takes all the hassle out tho and less POAS!

I'm on day 9, but I have long cycles so I won't crack out the OPKs until day 14 I think, if I'm feeling rational (we'll see). I also have covid so I'm a bit worried it might affect ovulation, praying it won't! I've managed to avoid it until now so not sure how it will affect my cycle

babyjellyfish · 29/03/2022 20:48

@MO22

Where is everyone in their cycle at the moment?
Currently CD5, which I'm delighted about.

Just at the tail end of my first postpartum period. My obstetrician told me not to get pregnant again for a year (I had a C-section), and I have an appointment with him next Tuesday when I will be on CD12 and my son will be one next Thursday, so the timing couldn't be more perfect.

Last time we triggered my ovulation with an HCG shot and I'm hoping that that plus the cocktail of drugs I was on was what helped me go all the way to term, so the plan is just to do exactly the same thing this time.

I don't live in the UK, which has served me well because here you can just book an appointment with the doctor you want to see.

Same here!

I ovulated after dropping down to two feeds a day and am just crossing my fingers that I will have regular cycles.

How old is your son?

MrsGrealish · 29/03/2022 20:52

CD6 for me xx
